Abstract

The purpose of living a life pleasing to God means that every believer must meet God's standards, not all humans can fulfill them because of human sinfulness itself. As a result of sins committed from all human actions, in order to live to please God, all counselors and counselees must meet God's standards, but the problem is that the counselee's life is found by the counselor himself, still in acts of the flesh that do not show the standard of God's approval. This research article uses content analysis and qualitative data as literature research. Counselees who have problems in social life such as tattooing their bodies, often smoking, live rah-rah tend to get drunk making their future full of failures. The current research shows the results that state that the dimensions of life pleasing to God must be obeyed by every counselor and counselee as believers and practice it in various activities in daily life so that each counselee can live willingly, namely meeting God's standards. The novelty in this study uses ethical theory to be responsible for each counselee to act in the dimension of life pleasing to God. The conclusion is that every counselor and counselee as a believer must live a holy life, be faithful in worship, use the gifts that God has given well to contribute to the benefit of many people, behave well and please God.

Abstract

Intolerance is an attitude against differences between human beings. This intolerant attitude can hinder the welfare of the nation and state, which is marked by the emergence of various inter-religious and inter-cultural disputes that occur in society and in the educational environment. Therefore, researchers are interested in examining the extent to which teachers' efforts to prevent intolerance through cultivating an understanding of religious moderation. In this study, the researcher used a qualitative approach with library research, namely quoting previous research from various sources, including journal articles, books, and pdfs which supported the writing of this article. The results of the analysis of Christian religious education teachers' efforts to prevent intolerance in adolescents through inculcating an understanding of religious moderation as a subject delivered by PAK teachers with the hope of being able to foster an attitude of respect for differences both in terms of religion, race, ethnicity, between groups, culture and economic level, love the nation with all their heart, do not bring each other down and live as a democratic society.

Abstract

This article discusses the spirituality of a pastor in communicating with his congregation, using Colossians 3:5-17 as a guide. The research method used is literature review with a descriptive approach. The purpose of this study is to understand how a pastor can develop his spirituality in guiding and communicating with his congregation. The results of the study show that the spirituality of a pastor is crucial in forming effective communication with his congregation. In the analysis of Colossians 3:5-17, it is found that a pastor must have a character that is in line with the teachings of Christ and must develop good communication skills to provide proper guidance to his congregation.

Abstract

Efforts to sow knowledge and pedagogic competencies for PAK teachers in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 are positive breakthroughs for the effectiveness of PAK learning in facing various educational challenges and problems. The method used is qualitative, accompanied by a literature study approach. Text analysis and thinking through various literatures that discuss pedagogic science, pedagogic competence, the role of PAK teachers, and the industrial era 4.0 are used carefully. The results obtained show that pedagogic science, according to the continental and pragmatic views in an integrative manner, has individual, personal, moral and social relations motives that lead to pedagogic competence 4.0. This has implications for the realization of educational and learning processes by PAK teachers that are relevant in the industrial era 4.0. So it was concluded that PAK teachers need pedagogic knowledge as a stimulant that enhances pedagogic competence 4.0 which includes their role as educators, instructors and mentors supported by the use of information technology devices or media proportionally for the effectiveness of PAK learning in the industrial era 4.0.

Abstract

Sunday School or what is known as children's ministry is a service provided by the church to children, aimed at developing strong faith from an early age, introducing Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Therefore Sunday School teachers have a big duty and responsibility in serving children. One of the things that need to be prepared is the method of teaching in conveying God's word. The purpose of this study is to describe the importance of teaching methods for Sunday school teachers, the study of reflection on the Gospel of Mark. By using the descriptive analysis method on the Gospel of Mark, it is concluded that the parable, lecture, discussion, and question and answer methods can be used in various ways by Sunday School teachers in conveying God's word so that they can stimulate children's interest, attention, and understanding in learning.

Abstract

Parents are people who carry out obligations which protect their children by teaching, guiding, directing, and advising them to get the child to a path that does not deviate. But in the era of society 5.0, part of people's lives is influenced by technology. This should be a concern for Christians, especially the church, teachers and parents for the spiritual growth of children. Especially the role of parents to motivate children to attend Sunday school. Sunday school can help parents recognize their children in the Lord Jesus and have strong faith growth from an early age. So the purpose of this article is to find out the problems experienced by Sunday school children and what is the role of parents in motivating their children to participate in Sunday school in the era of society 5.0. This study uses descriptive research through qualitative methods with the aim of collecting detailed, comprehensive and up-to-date data to obtain valid and truthful results. Furthermore, there are also results from this study in which parents play a role in giving children an understanding of the importance of Sunday school, taking the time to accompany their children to Sunday school, if parents do not have time to accompany Sunday school, parents can accompany children to worship online and most importantly The main thing for parents to do is to always provide motivation and example to children.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The goal of this study is to ascertain how religion affects recovery from generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). The research's context is an example of a teacher's worry at a Christian school in Kupang Regency, which led to the teacher's subpar performance. The researcher's method of inquiry was qualitative. The author employed a literature review and open-ended interviews as data-gathering methods. The research informant worked as a teacher in Kupang Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, at a private Christian school. The findings of this study suggest that religion can help people with generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) feel less anxious. Religiosity can lessen anxiety in people with generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), yet it cannot totally heal the condition.

Abstract

The basic question in this research is how to understand the significance of the declaration of power in the events leading up to Jesus' ascension to Heaven? Does this declaration of power only have significance for the mission movement or does it actually involve something broader? The purpose of this study is to examine more deeply the significance of the declaration of power just before the event of the Lord Jesus' ascension to Heaven. Common interpretations often link the importance of this declaration of power in the realm of carrying out the mission of the Great Commission. The author through this article wants to explore the deeper meaning of the declaration of power in the Lord Jesus, Father and in the giving of power to Jesus' disciples through narrative analysis. The research in this article was conducted using a qualitative method by conducting a narrative analysis on the text of Mat. 28:16-20 and Acts. 1:6-11. Based on the study conducted, the results found that the significance of the declaration of power is not only as an impetus for preaching the Gospel but also in reversing the paradigm of the kingship of Jesus, fellowship between believers, victory over satanic power, and the basis for miracles.

Abstract

The focus of this research is the socio-cultural influence and challenges of urban communities for the passion of marriage promises from Catholic couples and the importance of involvement in the ecclesiastical base group environment for the passion of marriage. Marriage for Catholics is a lifelong communion between a man and a woman and is open to the birth and education of a child. This study was conducted using a methodology between interviews and literature studies. Researchers conducted interviews with five Catholic couples who lived in one of the base environments of Ijen Parish, Diocese of Malang, namely the Santa Clara neighborhood. This research found that the socio-cultural life of urban society today is really a severe challenge for the marriage passion of Catholic families. Many of the lifestyles that develop in the socio-cultural context of urban societies today clash with the nature of marriage according to the Catholic Church. In the midst of these challenges, participation in ecclesiastical base groups is a great way to help couples stay true to their marital vows. The ecclesiastical base group became the place where they gained edification, shared, and supported each other in the light of God's word.
