Abstract

— Technological advances in the field of telecommunications without cables or wireless are growing rapidly by utilizing radio waves as transmission. This happens because people's mobility is currently quite high and requires practicality in the use of devices. The discussion in this paper is about the comparison of the design and fabrication performance of a diamond microstrip patch antenna composed of a 2x4 element array using DGS and without using DGS. The design was carried out using the CST 2018 simulator. The DGS was placed on a PCB ground plane with an epoxy fiberglass substrate having a dielectric constant of 4.58. This is measured by improving the value of VSWR, return loss, and bandwidth. The application of the working frequency used by the microstrip antenna is at (2401-2495) MHz for WIFI (Wireless Fidelity) networks. Microstrip antennas have a narrow bandwidth shortage, so they require bandwidth widening using the DGS (Defected Ground Structure) technique in the form of dumbbell square ahead. The resulting bandwidth is 15 MHz wider than a microstrip antenna without DGS. This research is in accordance with the antenna test parameters, which have a return loss value of -24.3dB, VSWR 1.12 and a bandwidth of 34 MHz.

Abstract

Antlion habitat that breeders create currently does not use a system that can protect the habitat from changes in temperature and humidity. In addition, when they are about to be sold, breeders filter and sort the antlion one by one. Therefore, a system is made that can monitor and control changes in temperature and humidity as well as harvesting automatically through the application. This system is designed using a wireless sensor network with temperature and humidity sensors DHT22, IR MLX90614 with soft actuators and mist makers as well as loadcell sensors to trigger off the sieving motor connected to the Firebase database and interface Flutter application. Based on the results of testing the accuracy of temperature, humidity, infrared, and loadcell sensor readings, respectively, they are 98.07, 97.58%, 98.38%, and 98.78% with an average delay of 216,97ms can maintain temperature changes in the range 24-30? and humidity in the range 70-80% stably. And the average value of harvest time is 30.37 seconds with an average decrease in sand load of 56.7 grams when the harvesting mechanism is running.

Abstract

Indonesia has been affected by COVID-19 since 2020. In order to stop the virus spreading, the government puts Large Scale Social Restrictions. There is no denying that during this pandemic, criminality is increasing, and this is due to nothing other than the need to survive. The stealing and invading of homes is one of the crimes that have increased. Additionally, the government has strengthened health procedures to require that individuals wear masks while doing activities outside. A system that can identify faces and identify the use of masks was developed in order to solve this issue. Face recognition is used to increase security, and mask detection systems work to enforce the wearing of masks when engaging in outside activities. Both of these technologies can be combined into a single smart door lock system for the home. The system will apply facial recognition identification when someone wants to enter the house and mask detection when they want to do activities outside the house. As a monitoring tool, data will be delivered in the form of an image via the user's Android. This is proven by the accuracy rates of facial identification of 95% and mask detection of 97.5% in this research.

Abstract

A key is a tool made of metal to open or fasten a door or object that has a lock by inserting it into the hole in the main key. The lock itself is usually used on doors, suitcases, or other objects that require security. The lock on the suitcase itself still has a slight variation and there are still weaknesses, for example the code lock if you forget it cannot be opened, then the padlock and slot lock if the key is lost cannot be opened and can still be broken into by lockpick. The type of research carried out is included in the type of research and development (Research and Development). So, from these problems, a system will be designed and built that can monitor and maximize security automatically so that user's goods are protected from crime or theft by utilizing Near Field Communication (NFC), Global Positioning System (GPS), Magnetic Sensors and Microcontrollers. This system is made portable, so that it can be used in various goods with certain conditions, for example suitcases. The results of this research are portable lock tools, and applications that can integrate lock tools in real time. From the test results obtained accuracy on the gps key, and the security system can run according to the program.

Abstract

The development of technology in the field of security has a big impact on people's lives throughout the world. The security is threatened when there is a burglary in the neighborhood. One of the applications of image processing is the frame difference method, which used comparison of the captured image frame circuit according to time order. Frame difference algorithm applied to grayscale image computing using ESP32-CAM cameras for security cameras. This research was developed with a system that can monitor objects detected in real-time by streaming using a website. The ESP32-CAM camera and the PC have a packet loss value of 4.29% and an average delay of 0.3 seconds so that the images captured by the camera can be well received by the PC. The frame difference method with moving objects is used and detected well during the day due to solar lighting, but at night only depends on luminous objects. This method has the disadvantage that when moving objects inhabit the same field of view, the system will define it as movement so that the frame difference method is not adaptive from changes in the captured area.

Abstract

Transformers are one of the important electrical equipment in the power system. To prevent some electrical contact on the component in transformers, an insulator or dielectric material is needed likely insulating oil. DGA test is important for diagnosis and deciding the maintenance of transformers. Duval Triangle and Duval Pentagon methods are DGA identification methods with the highest of accuracy compared to other methods. The data used in this article is from the DGA measurement test of transformers GT 3.1 Steam and Gas Power Plant Grati. The DGA data was analyzed by Random Forest based-model of Duval Triangle and Pentagon method, in accordance to IEEE C57.104-2019 and IEC 60599-2015 guidelines. Random Forest based-model has the best performance in implemented Duval method than others. The result of DGA identification using Random Forest based-model showed PD and S for Duval Triangle, and S for Duval Pentagon and from the results of identification using the Duval Triangle and Pentagon it does not always show the same results on the same test sample, so it is necessary to identify the history of DGA testing to get accurate results. This article presents the use of the combined Duval Triangle and Pentagon for diagnosis transformers.

Abstract

The student Activity Credit Unit is a credit value obtained by students after participating in curricular and extracurricular student activities. The credit score is a specific value unit in the form of numbers given to each student who carries out actions. Credit score provisions have been set. Each activity must be accompanied by proof of participation/certificate/other evidence that will be used as the basis for assessing creditworthiness. If the calculation of the loan amount is done manually, errors can occur because the work done by humans is relatively error prone. Therefore, we need an application that provides a solution to minimize the occurrence of computational errors. This research was conducted to create a credit unit information system for student activities using the PHP programming language with the Laravel framework and MySQL as the database. This system makes it easier for students to input data on student activities. The result of this research is a web-based credit information system for student activities that can be implemented at the State Polytechnic of Banyuwangi as a tool for calculating credits for all student activities.

Abstract

The fire department or DamKar is one of the important agencies which is highly needed by Indonesian people, especially when a fire occurs. However, DamKar is often judged to be late in arriving at the location because help comes to the fire when the fire has already take a set. One of the reasons why delay happens in DamKar is because the report is received late by the DamKar officer. One of the fire prevention measures is to take the preventive action or early prevention from indications of a fire. Automatic early detection is needed in an emergency and requires speed and accuracy in overcoming the problem. designs an early detection system for fires that directs to DamKar and warehouse owners. This system can detect and provide temperature information in real time. This system works if there is a drastic change in temperature and there is a puff as soon as detected by the sensor The information is in the form of a notification "Excessive CO gas detected" if the temperature is in the range of 25 °C and the gas content is 100 PPM, if the temperature exceeds 35°C and the gas content is 500 PPM there will be a notification "The warehouse temperature is too hot", then a danger notification " indicated fire above”. From the experimental results, it is found that the mesh communication system can work properly
