Abstract

The technique of human interaction with computers has developed very rapidly. Body movement is the easiest and most expressive way and hand movements are flexible. We can use gestures as a simple identification command. This research discusses the application of hand gesture reading as a remote control for learning media and analyzes its quality of service using Wireshark software. This system uses a Raspberry Pi as a computing center. Raspberry Pi reads hand gestures using the Convex Hull algorithm, which can read the number of fingers raised on the hand by taking the outermost point in the contour scan of the hand. Each gesture in the form of the number of fingers was allocated to the keyboard commands used to select answers on the learning media. On the learning media side, a quiz system was created that uses keyboard commands to select the answers. Then the Raspberry Pi is connected to the laptop using a third-party application called VNC. Based on QoS measurement results, the throughput result is 62 kbps, which is included in the very good category. Packet Loss of 0%, which is also included in the very good category. The delay of 52.2 ms, which is included in the very good category. Thus, the overall quality of the network can be categorized as very good.

Abstract

Salinity is the key parameters in the shrimp culture environment. Conventional method is by visiting each pond plot. But,due to the large number and distance between the plots, this method is less effective. This ineffectiveness can lead to less than optimal yields. Manet is applied to increase the effectiveness of checking salinity using the BATMAN routing protocol. In this study, 2 units of laptops were used that act as Node 1 and Node 4, 2 units of Orange Pi Zero as Node 2, and 3. Each device is connected to a conductivity sensor to measure the salinity. The four devices are configured with an adhoc network using the BATMAN routing protocol. This research was conducted to provide an alternative for monitoring salinity to make it more effective. Based on the results of testing and analysis of network quality, the average delay value is 22.285 ms. The low delay value affects the percentage of packet loss in the four test scenarios with an average percentage of 0.999759613 %. Memory and CPU usage in testing 4 transition scenarios resulted in an average memory usage of 0.225% and CPU usage of 0.725%. The BATMAN routing protocol does not use a lot of memory and CPU usage because it only forwards data packets without the need to process data. From these data, it can be concluded that manet with batman routing protocol can be used as an alternative communication to provide communication network services in areas where there is no fixed network infrastructure.

Abstract

The library is one of the rooms or facilities used as a learning center. Data on library visitors with a locker at the Polinema library is in a different place, where the Polinema library locker are outside the library area which can be misused for storage of public goods. Visitors only enter the library area to ask for locker keys and leave items in the lockers, but visitors do not visit the library. To overcome this, a system was designed using a QR Code scan that can be used as a library visitor data system that can directly open the locker door using an OTP code, after getting the OTP code visitors can enter items and then lock them automatically. Application login testing can be done according to the system. Testing of open/closed locker markers and admins can access the locker if someone leaves the Library area. The coordinates of the GPS points for 4 visitors who came out of the Library area with a distance of 25,049m, 38,839m, 56,502m, and 64,904m were proven with a maximum distance of 20m. Comparison of the distance between Formula Haversine and Google Maps (distance between 2 points) obtained an accuracy rate of 0.236%.

Abstract

Catfish is one of the results of freshwater cultivation that is popular with the community and has economic value. The high public interest in catfish, is one of the factors cultivators increase production yields. Feeding and treatment of catfish pond water still uses human resources. This reduces the efficiency of the farmer and allows for negligence in providing feed and water treatment if the farmer has a large number of ponds or more than one. In this study, it is proposed to control and monitor feeding and water treatment with a biofloc system automatically and regularly, with the catfish biofloc system also obtaining natural food when the feeding schedule is raining. It takes a wireless sensor network system as a control system, fc-37 sensor, Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), Loadcell, Real Time Clock (RTC). All of these sensors will be integrated with the Arduino Uno which will then send data from each sensor to the Raspberry Pi with the nRF24l01 communication module. The results of this study are monitoring the appearance of the web server processed by the Raspberry Pi which shows feed availability, pond conditions and turbidity levels. From the experimental results, it is found that the planned system can work well and as desired.

Abstract

Wedding decorations are considered incomplete without decoration. The decoration business must prepare a skilled and creative workforce and improve the artistic creation skills of employees to provide several choices of decorating styles to clients. The material that was recently used in decorations is styrofoam. The purpose of this research is to design a CNC machine to get good results and neatly cut Styrofoam using a hot wire. This research also contributes to solving problems with Styrofoam cutting usually a problem with detailed and complicated work that can be solved automatically using a CNC machine. Tool hardware design requires Bluetooth connection, driver to the stepper motor, driver A4988 to CNC shield, and step down to the heating wire. Software design includes uploading GRBL firmware, creating G-code using Inkscape Software, and connecting Android applications to CNC machines. The result shows that for 2-dimensional styrofoam cutting with 1cm thickness, the best results are obtained in the range voltage of 7.4-8.5V. Styrofoam also testing is carried out using the same voltage 8.5V but with different feed rates and the result with 400 mm/min shows the best cut performance. The results of cutting 3-dimensional Styrofoam showed that for a voltage of 8.5V, a feed rate of 300mm/min, and a thickness of 10cm Styrofoam produced the best cutting texture from others. This shows that the heat generated by the wire is directly proportional to the feed rate
