Abstract

Cooperative governance is a very crucial factor in the development of a cooperative. Many cooperatives do not develop because of governance problems, for example the cooperative management is old, minimal knowledge of cooperative management and incorrect business development mean that cooperatives do not develop, leading to cooperative decline and failure. Until now, one of the problems with cooperatives is still the same, namely the problem of cooperative governance which has not fully implemented cooperative principles completely and correctly. Many cooperatives run their business in the same way as public companies, seeking high profits, offering high loan interest and no difference in treatment between cooperative members and non-members. So that the benefits of belonging to a cooperative are not felt by members. Cooperative education and training is important for management as well as for cooperative members. This is to foster love for cooperatives as member-owned and jointly owned business entities. Willingness to carry out transactions in cooperatives to fulfill their needs. Without knowledge of cooperatives for members, members will assume that transactions in cooperatives and non-cooperatives are the same. In fact, the progress of a cooperative is very dependent on member participation in the cooperative. Cultivating cooperative capital will be better and will have healthy finances if more of it comes from cooperative members. For business development managers, it is important to promote and develop cooperatives. But of course this business development must be feasible and in accordance with members' needs. So it is very important and necessary to provide education and training for cooperative administrators and members to become a modern cooperative. As carried out by the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs in collaboration with the Special Regional Cooperative Service of Aceh Province which was implemented from October 14 2024 to October 17 2024 in the city of Banda Aceh and theme was Strengthening institutions and governance of modern cooperatives in the food sector.

Abstract

Student Cooperative (KOPSIS) is a cooperative business unit located within the school environment, whose members are students of that school and can engage in economic activities without a legal business entity (notarial deed). KOPSIS's existence does not necessarily translate into all pupils being members right away. usually brought on by two factors: the unequal dissemination of information regarding cooperatives and the advantages of joining KOPSIS. In order to help students better understand cooperatives and KOPSIS's presence in their school, one way to promote and socialize about the organization is to provide training to administrators, members, and potential members on how digital technology can be adapted into KOPSIS services. Using this method, KOPSIS will become more attractive, contemporary, modern, and facilitate services to members, which is ultimately expected to increase students' interest in becoming members of the KOPSIS.

Abstract

The changes and developments of Jatinangor began to occur since the establishment of various universities in the Jatinangor Higher Education area, namely the Indonesian Cooperative University, the National Government College, Padjadjaran University and the Bandung Institute of Technology, Jatinangor Campus. Regional development has had an impact on Jatinangor's social and cultural changes, this area has become a relatively open area, residents from various parts of Indonesia have come, which has also had the impact of growing various business opportunities, including business opportunities for ultra-micro business actors operating in various. The businesses most in demand by the public are food and beverage businesses with a target market of students, workers in various businesses supporting educational areas, construction workers and other communities. One of the weaknesses of ultra-micro business actors is limited access, which is triggered by various conditions, including the lack of knowledge of business actors to be able to access information, access to sources of financing, innovation and technology. These limitations result in ultra-micro business actors becoming weak and uncompetitive, very vulnerable to change, their businesses do not develop, frequently change commodities and often experience bankruptcy. In fact, Jatinangor's rapid development as a higher education area should be an example of inclusive regional development, which also improves the welfare of its people. One solution to reduce the limitations that result in the non-development of ultra-micro business actors is to build togetherness between them so that they become a force that can change towards improvement; For this reason, an economic forum for business actors is needed which is driven by students and facilitated and encouraged by village officials. An economic forum that suits the needs of business actors to progress and develop is a cooperative. For this reason, it is necessary to initiate the introduction of cooperatives to ultra-micro business actors in Jatinangor.
