FOCUS AND SCOPE Enggang adalah jurnal pendidikan, bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya. Enggang dipilih sebagai nama jurnal ini karena kehidupan masyarakat Kalimantan Tengah tidak jauh dari alam, termasuk kedekatannya pada burung yang bernama enggang. Burung enggang merupakan simbol kebesaran dan kemuliaan suku Dayak di Kalimantan Tengah. Burung enggang juga melambangkan perdamaian dan persatuan, sayapnya yang tebal melambangkan pemimpin yang selalu melindungi rakyatnya. Ekor panjangnya dianggap sebagai tanda kemakmuran rakyat suku Dayak. Kaitannya dengan jurnal ini, tidak lain adalah mengambil makna filosofis kebesaran burung enggang agar jurnal pendidikan, bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya ini, nantinya menjadi besar yang akan dikenal secara lokal, nasional, dan internasional. Jurnal Enggang sebagai jurnal pendidikan, bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya merupakan salah satu wadah untuk mengumpulkan dan melestarikan kekayaan kita yang tidak ternilai harganya. Tentunya kekayaan yang berhubungan dengan pendidikan bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya. Jurnal ini hadir untuk siapa saja yang mencintai dan ingin berkarya di bidang pendidikan, bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya. Selain itu, kami sebagai pengurus jurnal ini bersedia memberikan bimbingan dan pelatihan untuk siapa saja yang ingin maju dan berkompeten dalam hal menulis karya fiksi maupun nonfiksi. Melalui bimbingan dan pelatihan pasti gairah menulis para calon pendidik, para pendidik, dan para pecinta pendidikan, bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya bangkit dengan semangat membara. This study is based on the selection of models and media that are less creative and innovative in learning to write fantasy story texts so that students feel bored and have difficulty in writing activities. This study aims to test the effectiveness of learning to write fantasy story texts with the porpe model assisted by plotagon animation media on students of class VII SMPN 35 Bandung. This study uses a quantitative method of the quasi-experimental type and a true experimental pretest-posttest control group design, and the research subjects consist of 2 classes. The results of the study showed 1) the author was able to plan and implement learning to write fantasy story texts, as evidenced by the scores obtained of 3.63 and 3.55 with a very good category, 2) the ability of students after receiving treatment had reached the Learning Objective Achievement Criteria (KKTP) with a total average obtained of 89.02. 3) the difference in student abilities before and after receiving treatment using the plotagon animation media-assisted porpe model experienced a significant increase as evidenced by the wilcoxon test results showing an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) <0.05. 4) the plotagon animation media-assisted porpe model is effective for use in learning to write fantasy story texts as evidenced by the results of the maan whitney test showing an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value, namely 0.00, <0.05. which means that the plotagon animation media-assisted porpe model is more effective to use compared to the control class.

This study use a qualitative approach with a literature review to collect and analyze written sources. The results indicate that intelligence is defined as the ability to find solutions to problems quickly and accurately. Four main theories discussed regarding intelligence are Multiple Intelligences, Triarchic Intelligence, General Factor Intelligence, and Emotional Intelligence, all of which show the complexity and multidimensionality of human intelligence. Meanwhile, learning motivation is defined as a vital psychological drive to improve achievement and optimize students' potential. This article also recognizes various forms of motivation that can be applied in learning, including giving numbers, prizes, competitions, ego involvement, exams, knowing learning outcomes, praise, punishment, desire, and interest.

The problem with this research is the limited media and game tools, such as; Role playing and traditional games are still rarely applied by teachers in the learning/teaching process so that children easily get bored during learning/teaching activities. The aim of this research is to determine the significant influence of the traditional dragon snake game on the development of aspects of self-awareness in children aged 5-6 years at Kindergarten Aisyiyah Busthanul Athfal 41 Medan. This research uses Quasi Experimental Design with The Equivalent Time Sample Design. The subjects of this research were 28 children in the orchid class at ABA 41 Kindergarten. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling and the data analysis technique uses non-parametric statistical tests. The results of the data from this study show that the average value of the first treatment (X1) has an average value of 17.5, categorized as BSH (developing according to expectations), not given the first treatment (X0) has an average value of 14.0, categorized as BSH (developing). according to expectations), the second treatment (X2) had an average value of 18.46 in the BSH category (developed according to expectations), not being given the second treatment (X0) had an average value of 15.67 in the BSH category (developed according to expectations). The results of data analysis through the SPSS version 25 statistical test show that Asymp. Sig 0.000 < 0.05 hypothesis is accepted, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of traditional games on the development of aspects of self-awareness in children aged 5-6 years at Kindergarten Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 41 Medan.

This study aims to find out what are the parenting behaviors given by parents when interacting with children based on Developmentally Appropriate Practice (DAP) parenting practices and what obstacles parents face in implementing DAP-based parenting practices. This research is a type of qualitative research. The research subjects in this study totaled 8 people including 7 parents who had early childhood and 1 village head in the Muliorejo Village Environment, Kec. Sunggal - Deli Serdang. Collecting data using interviews, observation, and documentation. Analysis of the research data used a qualitative descriptive method, namely presenting the data in written form and explaining what it was in accordance with the data obtained from the research results. Checking the validity of the data in this study used the triangulation technique. The results of this study indicate that there are various forms of parenting behavior given by parents in DAP-based practices. There are several parenting behaviors given by parents when interacting with children, namely behavior given by parents who silence and persuade when their child is crying, parental awareness behavior in providing support to children when children complete their tasks (school homework), parental behavior that not giving their children opportunities to express feelings or things that make children cry, behavior given by parents when fostering children's self-confidence, and behavior by parents in providing a sense of security to children. Parents in the Muliorejo Village Environment, Kec. Sunggal-Deli Serdang has obstacles in implementing DAP-based parenting practices. The obstacles are the influence of the environment, the economy in the family and parents' education.

A clean and healthy lifestyle is the main foundation for building an optimal quality of life. One of the efforts intensively carried out by the government through the Ministry of Health is the Clean and Healthy Living Behavior Program (PHBS). In line with the goals of PHBS by the Ministry of Health, the implementation of a clean and healthy lifestyle is expected to raise awareness for the entire community (from various groups and ages) to create a clean and healthy environment. This awareness will lead Indonesian society to create a conducive environment, both for individuals, families, groups and communities. An educational alternative that can also train students' creativity and critical thinking skills to take part in clean and healthy living behavior programs, namely making educational posters in digital format. The aim of this community service activity is: a) to increase students' awareness about Clean and Healthy Lifestyles (PHBS), b) to increase students' knowledge and insight about Clean and Healthy Lifestyles (PHBS), c) to improve students' language skills in processing and conveying informative messages in a work, and d) to improve students' ability to master and utilize digital literacy. The method used in this service activity is a process method which includes three stages, namely; 1) preparation, 2) implementation and 3) evaluation. The results of this activity are 1) increasing students' knowledge and insight regarding Clean and Healthy Lifestyles (PHBS) and 2) increasing students' skills in processing and conveying informative messages in works in the form of digital posters.

Some of the Maanyans or the Dayak Maanyan as one of the indigenous ethnic groups in Central Kalimantan Province have emigrated from their second original native land, East Barito Regency, Central Kalimantan. They emigrated to other parts of Central Kalimantan or any other parts of Indonesia. Their basic purposes for leaving their second original native land are to look for jobs as well as to study. At their new settlement, some of the Maanyan emigrants still strongly maintain their native language by inheriting the language to their children while some others think that it is not necessary. Among the factors influencing the ethnic language maintenance among the Maanyan emigrants are ethnic identity, the attitudes of the parents, intra-and inter-ethnic group communication, the need for telling or saying something secret, the establishment of Dusmala in a number of capital cities, and the Indonesian government policy on ethnic language maintenance.

Textbooks play an important role in the learning process because they are the main source for students and teachers in achieving the set learning outcomes (CP). However, the suitability of the contents of the textbooks needs to be reviewed to ensure their compliance with national education standards. This study aims to (1) analyze the suitability of the contents of Chapter 4 of the Indonesian Language textbook for grade IV SD/MI based on elements and learning outcomes; (2) evaluate the accuracy and novelty of the material; (3) examine the use of language in delivering the material; and (4) assess the presentation and graphical appearance of the book according to BSNP standards. This study uses a content analysis method with an assessment instrument based on the textbook suitability indicators according to the National Education Standards Agency (BSNP). The object of the study is the Indonesian Language textbook for grade IV SD/MI entitled "lihat Sekitar untuk SD/MI Kelas IV (Revised Edition)" by Eva Nukman and Cicilia Erni Setyowati, especially Chapter IV entitled "Meliuk dan Menerjang". The results of the analysis show that the quality of the book's contents is classified as appropriate and actual, with material that is relevant to the cultural and social context of students. From the language aspect, the book uses correct spelling and language that is straightforward and easy to understand. The presentation of the material is able to arouse students' learning motivation and is equipped with practice questions at the end of the chapter. The quality of the graphics is considered very good with informative illustrations that support students' understanding. The conclusion of this study is that the book is suitable for use in learning with some minor improvements to spelling. It is recommended that authors and publishers pay more attention to punctuation consistency and include exercises that encourage student activity more evenly in each sub-chapter.

This research tackles the important matter of the quality of textbooks by examining the introductory and concluding sections of the Indonesian language textbook "Aku Bisa! (Revised Edition)" in relation to the guidelines set by the National Education Standards Agency (BSNP). The main goal is to assess how well the textbook conforms to the four key criteria defined by BSNP: content, presentation, language, and illustrations. To conduct this assessment, a descriptive qualitative approach, specifically content analysis, was utilized gathering data through the review of relevant documents. The results show that although the preface generally satisfies the clarity standards concerning the book's aims and relevance to the curriculum, it falls short in providing detailed guidance on how the book should be used by both students and teachers. The pre-content parts, such as the table of contents and instructions for use, are mostly organized, but there is room for improvement to enhance the connection between the content and the numbering of the chapters. In summary, the textbook is found to be viable, with some minor adjustments suggested for its presentation and language aspects. The study concludes that "Aku Bisa!" mostly complies with BSNP standards regarding its pre-content and preface, although additional work on how information is presented and the overall structure is needed to enhance its teaching effectiveness.

Indonesian language textbooks play an important role in shaping character and national identity starting from the elementary school level. One crucial aspect of teaching materials is linguistic feasibility, which includes grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structure that are appropriate to the cognitive development of students. The objectives of this research activity are: (1) to describe the results of content analysis, (2) to describe the results of language analysis, (3) to describe the results of presentation analysis, and (4) to describe the results of graphical analysis in chapter 1 of the Indonesian language textbook for grade 6 published by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology in 2022. This research uses a qualitative approach with content analysis methods. The focus of the analysis includes morphology, syntax, and the appropriateness of vocabulary for students aged 11–12 years. Data were analyzed based on language feasibility indicators according to the National Education Standards Agency (BSNP), such as grammatical accuracy, spelling consistency, and text readability. The results of the study show that (1) content feasibility is in accordance with the elements and learning achievements as well as the actualization of material relevant to the context of students; (2) language feasibility is considered sufficiently clear, but deficiencies were found in spelling (60%), sentence structure (40%), as well as the use of foreign terms and reduplication; (3) presentation feasibility is considered less systematic, with an imbalance between topics and a lack of practice questions; and (4) graphical feasibility shows good typography and layout, but there are few illustrations and a lack of attractive visual variation. The conclusion of this study is that the book is suitable for use as teaching material with several recommended improvements in the linguistic aspect to increase the effectiveness of learning. Suggested improvements include simplifying sentences, adding a glossary, and increasing language consistency so that the textbook becomes more communicative and easier to understand.

This article explores the relationship between the concept of Leftist Islam (Islam Kiri) and the fifth principle of Pancasila, namely “Social Justice for All Indonesian People,” in an effort to understand how progressive Islamic values can synergize with the national ideology. Leftist Islam, as a school of thought that emphasizes economic justice, advocacy for the oppressed, and critique of capitalism, shares significant intersections with the spirit of social justice embodied in Pancasila. Through normative and historical analysis, this article traces the roots of Leftist Islamic thought and examines how progressive Muslim figures in Indonesia, from the independence era to the present, have sought to interpret Islamic values within the framework of the Pancasila state. The article concludes that the principle of social justice is not only compatible with Islamic teachings, but can also be strengthened through interpretations of Islam that side with the marginalized and the poor. Therefore, the integration of Leftist Islam and Pancasila opens a constructive ideological dialogue for the advancement of social justice in Indonesia.
