Abstract

The performance of agricultural extension workers is the level of work success achieved by agricultural extension workers which is an important aspect that plays a role in work success and goal achievement. Performance is measured based on the abilities possessed by an individual in the form of cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects. The numbers of agricultural extension workers in the Sampara subdistrict under the supervision of the Agricultural Extension Center (BPP) of Sampara District are 17 agricultural extension workers. The condition of agricultural extension workers in the Agricultural Extension Center varies in ages, education level and working experiences. The purpose of this study was to analyze the level of performance of field agricultural extension workers (PPL) and to analyze the relationship between the characteristics of extension workers and the performance of field agricultural extension workers (PPL) in Sampara Sub district, Konawe Regency. The study employed scoring method using likert scale meanwhile measurement correlation between the characteristics of extension workers and the performance of Agricultural Extension workers through non-parametric analysis of Spearman's rank correlation test. The results of the study showed that the performance of field agricultural extension officers was in a fairly good category while the education level factors had a significant or strong relationship as shown by the Rs coefficient with value of 0.721.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had an impact on socio-economic changes globally, including at KWT Sri Rejeki. KWT Sri Rejeki has superior local food products that already use a modern touch in their packaging, but sales are still far above the average before the pandemic. This study aims to formulate a model of adaptation strategy of KWT Sri Rejeki through Digital Marketing. The research uses action research to gain knowledge as well as to take action to create change in KWT Sri Rejeki. In-depth interviews and field observations to get a diagnosis of the problem in order to determine an action plan, implementation and evaluation. Data analysis uses In Vivo Coding which is then followed by Pattern Coding by using short words or short phrases obtained through the informant's sentences. The results showed that the adaptation strategy model at KWT Sri Rejeki was conducting marketing analysis, marketing formulation, and marketing implementation and then integrated training was carried out to improve hard skills and soft skills and then developed a plan followed by a presentation. After being presented, it is then implemented in a business unit owned by KWT Sri Rejeki after an evaluation has been carried out as a reflection of the effectiveness of the strategy model that has been formulated.

Abstract

Welfare is the hope of everyone, including farmers, that various efforts are made so that the income and welfare of farmers can increase. One of them is through empowerment so that farmers can produce independence both economically, managerially, and socially. This study aims to find out how the implementation of the empowerment of shallot farmers in improving welfare and identify supporting and inhibiting factors in empowering shallot farmers in Medan Marelan District, Medan City. This study uses a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data validation techniques used in this study are source triangulation and method triangulation. The data analysis technique used in this study is qualitative data analysis techniques, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and ng concluding/verification. The results of the study show that the forms of empowerment carried out by shallot farmers in improving welfare are carried out through regular meetings, self-help, and mutual cooperation, capital, provision of shallot production facilities, as well as the support and role of stakeholders. Supporting factors for increasing the welfare of farmers are the provision of production facilities by the government, vegetable commodities as support, training, and comparative studies. While the inhibiting factors are reduced land area and not yet optimal farmer institutions.

Abstract

The limitations of subsidized fertilizers have an impact on lowland rice production. This study aims to analyze the behavior of rice farmer group in overcoming the scarcity of subsidized fertilizers. The research was conducted in April-May 2022 in Trimurjo District, Central Lampung Regency. Respondent are some organizer in 15 rice farmers group that is chosen by using stratified random sampling technique. Data was collected through interviews using structured questionnaires to 15 samples of rice farmer groups. The analysis data was done descriptively. The results show that there are differences in farmers group behavior to overcome the scarcity of subsidized fertilizers. Beginner and upper class of farmer groups have moderate to skills and attitudes, but have not been able to facilitate their members in overcoming the scarcity of subsidized fertilizers while intermediate class of farmer groups have very good behavior that is demonstrated by the ability of farmer groups to look for subsidized fertilizers, to collaborate with alternative fertilizer producers and to produce organic fertilizers as an alternative to supplying fertilizers. It is important for government to improve agriculture extension role as facilitator in order to increase the capability of farmer’s group in overcoming the scarcity of subsidized fertilizers.

Abstract

This research was carried out from August to December 2021 in Tanah Poleang Village, North Poleang District, Bombana Regency and the location selection was determined purposively (purposive). This study aims to analyze the performance of extension workers and the level of success of extension workers in increasing the resources of lowland rice farmers. This study uses quantitative methods with the support of qualitative descriptive analysis data. The results showed that the performance of extension workers in increasing the resources of paddy rice farmers in Tanah Poleang Village was good in terms of responsiveness (56.25%), responsibility (59.38%), accountability (46.88%), and quality of service (50. 00%.) as a whole is in the medium category. The success rate of the performance of extension agents in increasing the resources of paddy rice farmers in Tanah Poleang Village based on the knowledge, attitudes and skills of farmers shows that each produces a percentage in each category for farmer knowledge getting a value of 53.13% in the high category, farmers' attitudes get a value 40.6% in the medium category and based on the skill of the farmer getting a score of 50.00% in the medium category.
