This research was conducted in March 2021, which is located on the coast of Pelintung Village, Dumai City, Riau Province. The purpose of this study is to calculate physical parameters using MCA (Multi Criteria Analysys) standards, socio-economic parameters using MCA standards, and analyzing vulnerability using Geographic Information Systems. The research method used was purposive sampling, using a sample measurement technique based on the Slovin formula and the data obtained were secondary data. The segment boundary is along the coastline of Pelintung Village which is divided into 17 segments. The coastal area of the eastern part of Pelintung Village is categorized as very vulnerable because the physical parameters, namely geomorphology, elevation, shoreline changes, tides, sea level rise, and dominant waves have the highest MCA values. In the socio-economic parameters, land use and population density are also vulnerable because population settlements and dominant activities are located in the coastal area of Pelintung Village.

The environment is one of the factors that influence the breeding and life of the mosquito vector Ae. aegypti. Environmental factors that can influence consist of the physical environment, the biological environment and the social environment. People's habits that are detrimental to health and lack of attention to environmental hygiene are social environmental factors that can affect the incidence of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF). Policy for prevention and control of DHF in the form of prevention and control strategies for DHF according to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia (2017) is the control of vector-borne dengue by prioritize community empowerment efforts and community participation through the one house one jumantik movement. This research is a qualitative research with a case study method that aims to evaluate the input, process and output of the one house one jumantik movement in the city of Pekanbaru. The study was conducted in Pekanbaru City with the interviewees consisting of staff from the Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever Eradication Section of the Pekanbaru City Health Office, puskesmas officers, jumantik cadres and the community. The results showed that the implementation of the one house one jumantik movement in prevention and control of dengue fever in Pekanbaru City was still uneven due to lack of awareness and participation of human resources, especially policy makers and the community, the absence of written standard operating procedures, inaccurate reporting systems, limited infrastructure, no rewards and punishment, as well as limited funds and limited mobility due to the covid-19 pandemic. One of the things that supports the increase in ABJ is the availability of funds for the implementation of the one house one jumantik movement, especially the incentives for cadres who go down according to schedule so that cadres can actively carry out socialization, data collection and inspections to the community. The limited funds to support the one house one jumantik movement made this activity not run optimally. The activeness of cadres and the increase in ABJ are also in line with the decrease in dengue cases.

Surakarta is a city with polluted air due to transportation activities. Utilization of bioindicators could be one of efforts to monitor air pollution. Lichen is one of the air quality bioindicators that can be observed based on its morphological characteristics. This study aimed to determine air quality using lichen bioindicators at two stations in the Jebres sub-district, namely on UNS street and Juanda street. These two locations have different environmental characteristics and traffic density. This study is a descriptive exploratory research using purposive sampling method. The collected data were analyzed qualitatively based on the morphological characteristics of the lichen found. The results showed that nine species of lichen found in UNS street area, while five species of lichen in Juanda street area. Apparently, morphological character of lichen consisted of crustose, leprose, and foliose thallus types with bright thallus colour, larger diameter, and more individuals, whereas in Juanda street is crustose and leprosy with a duller color, smaller diameter, and fewer individuals. In fact, the vehicle density in the area of Juanda street was higher than UNS street area. As it is largerly known that the type and morphology are influenced by the environmental quality. Therefore, based on the founded lichen’s type and morphology, the area of Juanda street was likely more polluted than UNS street area. Our finding suported that lichen could be bioindicator for air quality.

The campus is a part of the urban area. It needs spatial planning based on the applicable regulations. The arrangement and development of campus infrastructure must pay attention to the Green Open Space (GOS) availability according to the standards. This study aimed to determine the existing condition of the building area, GOS based on the area, GOS based on the needs of the number of academics, and absorption of CO2 emissions by vegetation at the Bina Widya Campus. The research method used quantitative and qualitative descriptive. The results showed that the existing condition of the building area was about 880.443 m2 or 25.48%, it has required the standard (max 60%). GOS based on an area was about 60.27%, it also has passed the regulations (min 30%), and non-GOS was approximately 14.25%, which exceeded the standard requirements (max 10%). The GOS based on the needs of the academic community was about 52.18 m2/person and has qualified the standards (min 20 m2/person). The Bina Widya Campus was covered with vegetation that has the capability to absorb CO2emissions of around 62.951,34 tons per year or it equaled the trees that covered a 114,17-acre area.

The journey of the development of oil palm plantations in Indonesia has always been tinged with negative accusations and influences on export bans at the global level (world market). Facing these allegations, Indonesia has a sustainable oil palm plantation scheme contained in Permentan No. 38 of 2020 which contains the obligation of plantation businesses to own and manage areas with high conservation (NKT) in the company's operational area (HGU). The existence of NKT area in the plantation area becomes a mandatory requirement for sustainable oil palm plantations to be accepted by the world market. This research is important to do because, until now, the study of NKT area management strategies in oil palm plantation areas is still very lacking. This research was conducted at PT Adei Plantation & Industry Kebun Mandau, using survey methods and further analyzed using SWOT. The results of the study obtained the need for PT Adei Plantation & Industry Kebun Mandau to form a special institution of NKT management to manage NKT Area within the HGU area.
