Abstract

Transit Oriented Development (TOD) approach is one of the solutions adapted by DKI Jakarta’s Government in order to create a walkable and mass transportation friendly environment in Jakarta. Lebak Bulus TOD in its development will use environmental sustainability approach in order to reduce negative impact from urban development. However, Lebak Bulus TOD is currently lacked of green open space and dominated with impermeable surface that affect the increase of the stormwater runoff. Implementing green infrastructure concept in planning Lebak Bulus TOD site is one of the solution to overcome the problems. This research is aimed to reduce stormwater runoff and pollution in Pasar Jumat Street, Lebak Bulus Raya Street, and RA Kartini Street located in Lebak Bulus TOD. The methods used in this research are descriptive, quantitative analysis, and spatial analysis. Quantitative analysis is used to calculate water quality volume for each location, the results for each location respectively are 832,56 m3, 205,44 m3, dan 205,7 m3. Green infrastructure system used are stormwater tree trench, stormwater planter, green gutter, permeable pavement, and green wall. 285,95 m3 of stormwater runoff can be reduced by the implementation of green infrastructure. Spatial analysis using CITYGreen shows that the planning can reduce pollution by 48,83 kg/year with economic value of $263,49 (Rp3.751.834,11) and reduce runoff volume by 51% with economic value of $2.408,67 (Rp34.348.838).

Abstract

The riparian landscape of the Cimanuk River has been declared a local protected area. Cimanuk Park is located on the northern coast of Java Island, Indramayu Regency which is one of the tourist centers and icons of the city of Indramayu. City parks are closely related to ecological functions that affect user comfort. This study aims to identify the diversity of vegetation, evaluate ecological functions, determine the perception of the people of Indramayu towards Cimanuk Park which is used as an icon of the city of Indramayu and provide recommendations for improving the green system of Cimanuk Park. The method of this research uses the study of aspects of ecological functions including microclimate measurement, and noise level measurement, which consists of preparation, inventory, analysis, assessment and evaluation, and preparation of recommendations. It has 17 species with a total of 333 individuals. This study conducted an assessment of vegetation diversity using the KPI method. Most of Cimanuk Parks have good categories in modifying temperature and controlling air humidity and have moderate categories in resisting wind, and reducing noise. Meanwhile, from the results of the study, the THI value was in the uncomfortable category.

Abstract

The increasing rate of urbanization on limited urban land has resulted in reduced Green Open Space (RTH) in urban areas. Therefore, the design of a roof garden on a school building can be a solution to increase the area of green open space and a place for outdoor learning activities. This study aims to analyze the potential and constraints on the site so that a roof garden design can be developed according to user preferences. The stages of work refer to Booth (1983) which consist of project acceptance, research/analysis, concepts, and construction drawings. The design concept applied is inspired by the organically formed Falco peregrinus. The results of this study are in the form of a roof garden site plan as well as detailed pictures of the facilities used in the roof garden of building 3 SMP-SMA-SMK Informatika Pesat. The results of the study are expected to create a roof garden on a school building that can function as green open space and a refreshing area as well as a teaching and learning area.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has increased mental health problems in Sukabumi City. Urban parks can integrate environment, society, and health in urban environments by promoting an ecological approach based on contact with nature. This study aims to analyze the effect of performing activities for at least 20 minutes in Taman Alun-alun and Taman Lapang Merdeka on mental health visitors with a sample of 30 people in each park selected through purposive sampling. The data collection method used was experimental, with the One Group Pretest-Posttest research design through The Mental Health Inventory (MHI-38) questionnaire, which had been tested for validity and reliability. The data analysis method used is the Paired Samples T-test with SPSS 22. The results show that performing activities in a city park for at least 20 minutes can improve the mental health of visitors aged 18-25 years during the COVID-19 pandemic, with the highest increase in the average mental health score in Taman Lapang Merdeka because it provides facilities for physical and non-physical activities.

Abstract

Tongkonan, as vernacular architecture, cannot be dissociated from its cultural landscape. Tongkonan and its cultural landscape form a holistic entity that constitutes Toraja culture as a whole. However, most current research focuses solely on Tongkonan’s architectural and structural aspects. There are still few studies that explore Tongkonan’s vernacular architecture in connection with its cultural landscape, including its relationship to the culture of its people and its geographical context. This research is a desk study with the aim of formulating aspects related to further examining the relationship between Tongkonan as vernacular architecture and its cultural landscape based on theory of systems of activity and systems of setting. In addition, this paper contributes to fulfilling the 11th SDGs, covering four pillars -social, economic, ecology, and cultural. The method used is qualitative-descriptive with content analysis to analyze data obtained from the literature study. The analysis is supported by empirical studies in Kete' Kesu village in North Toraja Regency. The chosen location is an ancient village with a fairly complete cultural landscape and good accessibility. The findings show that the systems of activity for Toraja people in Tongkonan and its cultural landscape include domestic, religius, ecology and socio-economic activities. The systems of setting for Tongkonan and its cultural landscape encompass Tongkonan itself, alang, grazing area, puya, rante, saroan, paddy field, forest/kombong, farm, lantang, middle yard, Tongkonan surrounding, penanian, territory/liliq, area diamben, area ma'dika, area renge direnge, bridge, villages, settlement, pasar, graveyard, parampa.
