Abstract

The presence of one-roof institutions has encouraged children to continue their education to junior high school. However, in reality, One Roof Schools still face many problems. Even though it can increase the Gross Education Participation Rate, it has not been able to achieve standard education quality. One Roof Schools must improve the quality. If it has improved, the idea of changing the educational unit from being a one-roof school could be changed to a standard school like junior high schools in general. To improve quality, one-proof schools need a School-Based Management strategy. This research aims to explore the implementation of school-based management. This research uses a qualitative approach with a multi-site type. The sites are SMPN Satap Waiwaru, Hamahena, dan Holoriang. The findings are the strategies used are Stakeholder Involvement in Teacher Training and Development, Use of Data for Decision-Making, Strong School Leadership, Focus on Student, and Continuous Evaluation.

Abstract

This research aims to design a flexible curriculum for children with special needs (ABK) at Pangudi Luhur Vincentius Kindergarten by taking into account the individual characteristics and potential development needs of each child. This research uses a qualitative approach and research and development methodology. Documentation studies, in-depth interviews, and observations are some of the methods used to obtain data. The urgency of this research lies in the urgent need to design a flexible curriculum that not only accommodates the diversity of children with special needs, but is also able to transform the educational paradigm from a standard model to a truly inclusive model, where each child is seen as having unique capacities that deserve to be developed optimally through intervention. personalized, adaptive and sustainable education. The interactive model is used to carry out descriptive-qualitative data analysis. Miles and Huberman. The research results show the need for adaptive curriculum design, which is able to accommodate the diversity of needs of ABK through modified learning strategies, individual assessments, and potential-based approaches. The resulting flexible curriculum design includes six main components: individual assessment, specific development targets, adaptive learning strategies, customized learning media, dynamic assessment systems, and ongoing mentoring.

Abstract

This systematic literature review (SLR) examines the integration of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) with Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education over the past five years (2019-2024). It aims to address the implementation strategies, outcomes, and challenges associated with this educational approach. Despite the growing interest in PjBL and STEM, there are notable gaps in understanding the practical application and effectiveness of combined methodologies in diverse educational settings. This SLR identifies common implementation issues, evaluates the impact on student learning outcomes, and highlights recurring challenges faced by educators. The findings suggest that while PjBL integrated with STEM offers significant benefits, such as enhanced engagement and problem-solving skills, there are ongoing concerns regarding resource constraints and teacher preparedness. This review provides insights for educators and policymakers to improve integration practices and suggests areas for future research to address identified gaps and challenges.

Abstract

The development of science and technology is currently very rapid, especially in the field of education management. Teachers are required to master all competencies in order to be able to design and implement learning in accordance with existing regulations. The aim of this research is to create media that is easily accessible to teachers and easy to implement, to help teachers improve pedagogical and digital competence. The research uses the waterfall method in development which consists of five main stages, namely the first is analyzing user needs to find out the features needed on the website. Second is designing the website according to the needs analysis that has been determined using wireframes. The third is the development step using website programming languages such as PHP and HTML. The four testing steps are carried out by media experts, supervision experts and a supervisor, then there is a product feasibility test called a usability test using system usability scale (SUS) calculations. The final stage is maintenance, which functions to revise the product. The results of the development that have been tested by experts get a percentage value of 96% valid which can be used for expert 1, a value of 94% valid which can be used for expert 2, and a value of 92% valid which can be used for expert 3. Furthermore, the results of the usability test test get a value 95.4% which means that a product has an EXCELLENT value category, which means it can be used without any revisions and is very suitable for general use.

Abstract

This research addresses significant issues in teaching English recount text writing, including inadequate engagement tools and insufficient student motivation. The identified gaps on the existing body of knowledge reveal the lack of interactive and motivating instructional media. This study aims to develop and evaluate Wordwall-Based Interactive Game Media using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) to enhance writing skills and motivation among eighth-grade students at Sekolah Indonesia Johor Bahru. The Research and Development (RD) approach demonstrates that the interactive game media is both feasible and effective in improving students' writing abilities and boosting their motivation. Findings show that students exhibited enhanced writing performance and increased enthusiasm for learning. The implications suggest that integrating interactive game media into English instruction can significantly improve educational outcomes and student engagement. Recommendations include expanding the use of such media in similar educational settings and exploring its long-term effects on student achievement and motivation.

Abstract

This research was conducted in order to see the shortcomings of the need for diverse teaching materials and has not been used as a whole in elementary schools. This limitation is the impetus for educators to develop interactive and innovative media, one of which is developing QR-Code assisted flipbook media in Indonesian language subjects with "Exchange and Exchange" material in grade IV elementary schools. This research uses a type of development method using the ADDIE model. However, this research only reached the development stage. The subjects of this study consisted of students and teachers as material and media experts. The data collection method uses interviews and questionnaire results using a linkert scale. The validation results show that teaching materials can be used with a percentage of 87% with a very good category. However, this teaching material still has shortcomings in the learning process. This teaching material still does not combine games in its development.

Abstract

Salah satu kegiatan dalam pembelajaran sastra yang perlu dikuasai oleh peserta didik sejak pendidikan dasar adalah kegiatan mengapresiasi sastra, seperti mengapresiasi dongeng. Untuk mengukur keberhasilan proses pembelajaran apresiasi dongeng dibutuhkan instrumen penilaian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan pengembangan instrumen penilaian pada pembelajaran apresiasi dongeng di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran apresiasi dongeng di sekolah dasar masih perlu ditingkatkan, terutama dalam hal metode pembelajaran dan proses penilaian. Di dalam proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran apresiasi dongeng, guru perlu menggunakan metode yang sesuai dengan karakteristik peserta didik. Instrumen penilaian yang digunakan saat ini masih lebih banyak ditekankan hanya pada aspek kognitif, yaitu pemahaman terhadap isi dongeng. Maka dari itu, guru perlu menggunakan instrumen penilaian yang dapat mengukur ketiga aspek apresiasi dongeng, yaitu kognitif, emotif, dan evaluatif. Hambatan dalam proses penilaian meliputi kemampuan siswa yang beragam, tantangan dalam mengevaluasi peserta didik ABK, dan kesulitan dalam mengintegrasikan penilaian formatif ke dalam rapor. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa instrumen penilaian apresiasi dongeng di sekolah dasar masih perlu dikembangkan dan memberikan gambaran bagaimana instrumen penilaian tersebut dapat dikembangkan.

Abstract

Pembelajaran sains di sekolah dasar membutuhkan metode inovatif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa, khususnya mengenai sifat-sifat bunyi. Penelitian ini mengevaluasi efektivitas model pembelajaran RADEC (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, Create) dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa kelas 5 SD pada materi sifat-sifat bunyi. Menggunakan desain eksperimen semu dengan pre-test dan post-test, penelitian melibatkan 30 siswa yang dibagi menjadi kelompok eksperimen dengan model RADEC dan kelompok kontrol dengan metode pembelajaran konvensional. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa model RADEC secara signifikan meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa, sebagaimana tercermin dari skor post-test yang lebih tinggi. Angket persepsi siswa mengungkapkan bahwa model RADEC meningkatkan motivasi, keterlibatan aktif, dan kreativitas siswa selama pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa RADEC adalah pendekatan efektif yang tidak hanya mendukung pembelajaran interaktif tetapi juga membangun keterampilan abad ke-21. Model ini direkomendasikan untuk diadaptasi dalam berbagai mata pelajaran guna meningkatkan mutu pendidikan dasar.

Abstract

Technology has many benefits in the world of education, the researcher developed website-based learning media used s.id microsite to facilitated the learning process of students and teacher. This research aim to develop established learning media based on s.id microsite with DDD-E method. This research used Mapan material namely Fraction Multiplication       and  Division. This research was conducted at SD Negeri 007 Samarinda Ilir with a small group feasibility test of 5 students and a large group test of 22 students. The data was collected through questionnaires, interviews and documentation. This research used validation tests by linguists, material experts, media experts, student responses and teacher responses. The results showed that: (1) the media development process used the DDD-E model through 4 stages, namely decide, design, develop and evaluate. (2) the results of the feasibility test of teaching media by linguists, material and media validators obtained an average percentage of 89.34% with the decision that the media should be tested without revision. (3) the results of student responses showed a percentage of 90.23% and teachers showed a percentage of 93.69%. Based on data analysis, the researcher found that s.id microsite-based mapan learning media has advantages in linguistic aspects and usability. For the future researchers, the researcher suggest that have to conduct simulations to minimize constraints in research such as network availability, devices, learning flow on media and etc.

Abstract

AbstractThe purposes of this study are to identify misconceptions among Elementary School students related to the material about magnet taught and to describe the factors causing these misconceptions. The subjects of this study were 18 sixth grade students (7 males and 11 females). This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The research data were obtained through observation, documentation, interviews, and 16 multiple-choice tests accompanied by a CRI (Certainty of Response Index) column. The data analysis consisted of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study reveal that students believe that magnets only attract iron, the type of magnet from nature is artificial, the strongest magnetic force is located in the middle, and there is only one way to make a magnet. Not only that, misconceptions also occur related to students' misunderstanding of the concept of magnetic poles and their misconceptions about the use of magnets in compasses and refrigerators. The causes of misconceptions found are students' low interest in learning both at home and at school, the textbooks used, and the teacher's teaching methods.Keywords: Material About Magnet, CRI Method, Misconceptions.  AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi siswa Sekolah Dasar terhadap materi magnet yang diajarkan dan mendeskripsikan faktor penyebab miskonsepsi tersebut. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VI yang berjumlah 18 siswa (7 laki-laki dan 11 perempuan). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui observasi, dokumentasi, wawancara, dan tes pilihan ganda sebanyak 16 soal yang disertai kolom CRI (Certainty of Response Index). Analisis data terdiri dari reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian mengungkap bahwa siswa meyakini magnet hanya menarik besi, jenis magnet dari alam adalah buatan, gaya magnet yang terkuat terletak pada bagian tengah, dan hanya ada satu cara membuat magnet. Tak hanya itu, miskonsepsi juga terjadi terkait kekeliruan pemahaman siswa akan konsep kutub magnet dan miskonsepsi mereka terhadap penggunaan magnet pada kompas dan lemari es. Penyebab miskonsepsi yang ditemukan yaitu rendahnya minat belajar siswa baik di rumah ataupun di sekolah, buku pembelajaran yang digunakan, dan metode pengajaran guru.Kata Kunci: Materi Magnet, Metode CRI, Miskonsepsi.
