Abstract

Abstract This study aims to develop a digital module based on the case method for social arithmetic material to enhance elementary school students' problem-solving skills and learning outcomes. The research employed Research and Development (R&D) methodology utilizing the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The module was designed as an interactive and contextual learning resource, presenting authentic cases as learning stimuli. Literature review indicates the effectiveness of case-based learning and digital technology integration in mathematics education. Validation results from media, material, and language experts demonstrated that the module achieved very valid and highly practical criteria with an aggregate validity score of 93.5% and practicality score of 90.5%. Implementation trials on elementary school students revealed significant improvement in problem-solving abilities across Polya's four phases (78.56% achievement in experimental class versus 56.25% in control class) and learning outcomes with N-Gain of 0.68 (moderate category) and Cohen's d effect size of 1.23 (strong effect), statistically significant at p = 0.001. The digital module effectively bridges the gap between theoretical mathematical concepts and real-world application through contextual transaction scenarios, facilitating meaningful knowledge construction and metacognitive competency development essential for 21st-century mathematics learning. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan modul digital berbasis case method pada materi aritmetika sosial untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan hasil belajar siswa sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian menggunakan Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Modul dirancang secara interaktif dan kontekstual dengan menampilkan kasus transaksi ekonomi autentik sebagai stimulus pembelajaran. Kajian literatur mengonfirmasi efektivitas pembelajaran berbasis kasus dan integrasi teknologi digital dalam pendidikan matematika. Hasil validasi ahli materi, media, dan bahasa menunjukkan modul mencapai kategori sangat valid dengan skor agregat 93,5% dan sangat praktis dengan skor 90,5%. Uji coba implementasi pada siswa SD menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada kemampuan problem solving lintas empat fase Polya (capaian 78,56% kelas eksperimen dibandingkan 56,25% kelas kontrol) dan hasil belajar dengan N-Gain 0,68 (kategori sedang) serta effect size Cohen's d = 1,23 (strong effect), signifikan secara statistik pada p = 0,001. Modul digital ini efektif menjembatani kesenjangan antara konsep matematika teoretis dengan aplikasi dunia nyata melalui skenario kontekstual, memfasilitasi konstruksi pengetahuan bermakna dan pengembangan kompetensi metakognitif esensial untuk pembelajaran matematika abad ke-21.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a mind mapping-based learning media using PowerPoint for Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) class V elementary school subjects. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model until the implementation stage. The research subjects include material experts, media experts, teachers, and grade V students of SDN 21 Reo Behe. The data collection instruments are validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and tests. The results of the study showed that the mind mapping media obtained a very feasible category from material experts (90%), media experts (92.5%), linguists (94%), and teachers (91.25%). Student responses in the limited trial (93.33%) and field (97.08%) categories were very positive. Learning outcomes increased from an average of 48.13 to 85.63 in the posttest with an N-gain of 0.72 in the high category. Thus, mind mapping media has been proven to be valid, practical, and effective in improving students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Discourse markers (DM) are a growing area of study in gender and language. Scholars have not extensively discussed the relationship between gender and the use of DMs by senior high school students in EFL essays. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the use of DMs in male and female students"™ essays. This study involved 39 male students"™ essays and 46 female students"™ essays. This study analyzed the differences and similarities in the use of DMs based on Fraser"™s classifications (1999 and 2010) and the inappropriate use of DMs by male and female students. This research revealed that female students used a greater number of DMs and male students used more variations of DMs in their essays. The most frequent DMs used by male and female students are elaborative discourse markers. Semantic incompletion was the most common issue found in applying DMs. Consequently, the teaching practice and teaching material related to DMs require more attention from the teachers.

Abstract

The phenomena of code-switching and code-mixing were inevitably in EFL classroom. Several studies have been conducted to investigate those issues, meanwhile this research was significant to seek for the kind of code-switching and code-mixing used by EFL students across different age and how this affected their English proficiency level. Therefore, a descriptive-qualitative study through observation was conducted to investigate what kinds of code-switching and code-mixing used. The observation was conducted during the online classes by analysing the recording utterances used by the three EFL students with different age and background. Then, it was found that the code-switching and code-mixing used by the students were varied, such as code-mixing in the form of word, inter-sentential code-switching, and intra-sentential code-switching. Indeed, the kind of code-switching and code-mixing used by the students would show their English proficiency level

Abstract

This research aims to obtain objective information and describe the implementation of the Strategic Plan at the Panca Bhakti Pontianak College of Health Sciences, which includes: The process of preparing the Strategic Plan, Implementing the Strategic Plan, evaluating the Strategic Plan, as well as supporting and inhibiting the implementation of the Strategic Plan. The form of research used is qualitative, with descriptive methods. The research subjects were 6 people consisting of: (1) Deputy Head 1, 38 years old, female, and leadership elements. (2) Deputy Deputy 2, 49 years old, female, and a leadership element. (3) Personnel field, 29 years old, female, waket 3 staff. (4) Head of Midwifery Study Program, 29 years old, female, lecturer. (5) Head of LPPM and PKM, 48 years old, male, lecturer. (6) Head of HRD, 59 years old, male, lecturer. The data collection method in this research was obtained through observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis and triangulation. The main finding in this research is that the institutional Strategic Plan focuses more on implementing the Tri Dharma in higher education, while the emphasis is more on lecturers as implementers of the Tri Dharma. This is reflected in the results of interviews and institutional performance accountability reports, where the implementation shows results in the good category. The research results concluded that the process of preparing the Strategic Plan had been carried out through a series of systematic and participatory stages. The implementation of the Strategic Plan is more directed at implementing the Tri Dharma, with more emphasis on lecturers as implementers of the Tri Dharma. The supporting factor lies in the leadership, and all obstacles are always discussed. The implication is that previous research on strategic plans found that institutional strategic plans were only a dead book, but the strategic plan at STIKES Panca Bhakti Pontianak was the main guide in implementing the institution's Tri Dharma.

Abstract

IPAS learning in elementary schools often lacks contextual and engaging approaches, leading to low critical thinking skills. This study aims to develop an interactive E-LKPD based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) integrated with ethnoscience to improve students"™ critical thinking in IPAS. Using the Borg and Gall development model, the research involved expert validation, teacher and student trials, and effectiveness testing in several elementary schools in Kemusu, Boyolali. The E-LKPD received high validity (Aiken"™s V = 0.81), with positive practicality responses from teachers and students. Critical thinking tests showed a moderate improvement (N-Gain = 0.61), indicating that the E-LKPD helps students think critically through contextual and culturally relevant problems. The product is considered suitable for use in classrooms and supports 21st-century skills. Keywords: E-LKPD, Problem Based Learning, ethnoscience, critical thinking

Abstract

ABSTRACT  The problem of children's receptive language abilities in early childhood still needs to be improved. Formation of the character of early childhood's love of reading is less than optimal, words that are easy but difficult for children to read and pronounce. This problem stems from the lack of variety in the media used by teachers in the classroom and not appropriate to the students' developmental stages. Diversity in teaching strategies and resources used is lacking. So children have difficulty listening to what the teacher says.   The aim of this research is to describe the teacher's actions, as well as assess children's activities and the consequences of their language development in repeating what they hear in telling stories using richer vocabulary through storytelling methods using digital media. This research uses an action research design and qualitative methodology. There are four meeting sessions for the class. The research results showed that the teacher's efforts at the third meeting met the requirements very well. All children's activities at the fourth meeting were classified as active. At the fourth meeting, the child's development results were in the very good development (BSB) category with an assessment of 100%. The findings of this research can be a guide and source of information in choosing a learning model.

Abstract

Letter recognition is a fundamental aspect of early childhood literacy. This study aims to analyze the effects of fishing-letter media and poster media on children"™s letter recognition and learning independence. A quantitative experimental design was employed involving 51 children at RA Kebun Ilmu, divided into an experimental group (26 children) and a control group (25 children). Instruments included a letter recognition test (24 items) and a learning independence questionnaire (20 statements). Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test and Mann-Whitney U Test. The results indicate that fishing-letter media significantly improved letter recognition (Z = 3.746; p < 0.001) and learning independence (Z = 3.543; p < 0.001), whereas poster media did not show significant effects (p > 0.05). Furthermore, there were significant differences between the experimental and control groups (p < 0.001). Thus, fishing-letter media is more effective in enhancing early literacy and learning independence among young children.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang sering terjadi pada dunia pendidikan hingga saat ini adalah kegagalan siswa dalam bersikap disiplin, meskipun sikap tersebut memiliki peranan yang sangat penting dalam keberhasilan proses pembelajaran. Untuk mendukung kinerja guru kesiswaan dalam menetapkan tindakan kepada siswa yang memiliki masalah di sekolah, diperlukan sebuah sistem yang bertujuan untuk memudahkan pengelolaan terhadap pelanggaran siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan sebuah sistem informasi kesiswaan yang menggunakan metode Simple Multi Attribute Rating Technique (SMART) untuk menentukan penanganan pelanggaran siswa di tingkat Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK). Penggunaan metode SMART dalam sistem ini membantu dalam pengambilan keputusan terkait penanganan pelanggaran siswa berdasarkan atribut relevan seperti tingkat keparahan pelanggaran dan poin pelanggaran siswa. Penelitian dan pengembangan sistem dilakukan menggunakan model FourD (4D) yang mencakup tahapan define, design, develop, dan disseminate. Model pengembangan 4D digunakan karena memiliki tahapan yang sistematis dan sesuai untuk penelitian pengembangan. Hasil pengujian oleh validator ahli perangkat lunak menunjukkan efektivitas sistem dengan hasil 100% pada aspek fungsionalitas dan 92.26% pada aspek usabilitas. Implementasi penggunaan produk dilakukan oleh tujuh guru tatib SMKN 2 Malang. Hasil uji coba pengguna menunjukkan persentase sebesar 92.69% dengan kriteria sangat valid. Oleh karena itu, produk dianggap layak dan dapat digunakan sebagai solusi penanganan pelanggaran siswa di SMK.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh iklim organisasi dan komitmen terhadap kinerja guru di Komunitas Guru Belajar Nusantara, Kecamatan Nanga Pinoh, menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif non-eksperimental. Sampel terdiri dari 119 guru dengan berbagai karakteristik demografis dan status sertifikasi. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan dianalisis dengan statistik non-parametrik. Temuan menunjukkan iklim organisasi mempengaruhi kinerja guru sebesar 52,7%, komitmen mempengaruhi 53,8%, dan keduanya secara simultan mempengaruhi 63,4%. Kesimpulan menunjukkan bahwa iklim organisasi dan komitmen memiliki pengaruh signifikan baik secara individu maupun bersamaan terhadap kinerja guru. Implikasinya, peningkatan kedua faktor ini diharapkan dapat memperbaiki kinerja guru dan menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang lebih produktif dan inklusif.
