Abstract

This study aims to explore the phenomenon of childfreeness in Islam through a qualitative approach, focusing on analyzing the viewpoints of the four main madhhabs: Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi'i, and Hanbali. Qualitative methods were used to detail and analyze each madhhab's views on the decision not to have children by examining religious texts, hadiths, and scholarly thought. Contemporary case studies were also engaged in analyzing the application of childfree views in daily life and to understand their impact on Muslim individuals or communities. Through thematic analysis and data triangulation, this study is expected to provide a comprehensive understanding of the complexity of the childfree view of Islam and its contribution to the context of contemporary life. The results of this study reveal that there are several conditions for a person to use the concept of child free: the deliberate choice of not having children without any reason legalized by sharia is punished as haram according to the four madhhabs and is considered to damage or deviate from the purpose of sharia itself. This research is expected to open space for further discussion and reflection on the role of religion in understanding and responding to the dynamics of changing values related to life and reproductive decisions.

Abstract

The digital era brings easy access to information as well as a serious challenge for the formation of early childhood morals. The rapid development of technology makes children vulnerable to negative influences, both from age-inappropriate content and behaviors formed through digital interactions. This study aims to examine Islamic parenting strategies that can minimize the adverse impact of the digital era on early childhood morals while utilizing it for positive character development. The research method used is library research by examining academic literature such as books, scientific journals, and relevant articles that discuss Islamic parenting, moral development, and digitalization challenges. The analysis was carried out thematically to identify effective and applicable parenting strategies. The results of the study show that a combination of active supervision, habituation of moral values, warm communication, and parental example are the key in forming a children's moral filter. The positive use of technology, such as Islamic educational applications and moral content, can transform gadgets from a threat to an educational tool. In conclusion, adaptive Islamic parenting can be a relevant and sustainable solution in fostering children's morals in the midst of rapid digital currents. This research contributes to strengthening the concept of Islamic parenting based on digital literacy which can be a practical guide for Muslim families.

Abstract

Character development for students is absolutely necessary in the field of education. This is because intellectual intelligence without moral intelligence can lead to disaster for both individuals and society. However, improper character development using incorrect approaches can result in the failure of the intended goals. In addition, different institutional systems require different approaches to character development. Boarding schools have their own approach, while non-boarding schools have a different one. Nonetheless, different systems do not imply an inability to achieve the same goal—in this case, good character development. Therefore, further research is needed on character development approaches, taking SMA PKPU as an example of a boarding school, focusing on three personal character traits: discipline, responsibility, and creativity. The research question is: What are the approaches to developing discipline, responsibility, and creativity in SMA PKPU? The primary data of this research is sourced from the field, as the raw data was collected at SMA PKPU. Meanwhile, secondary data includes other supporting books sourced from a literature review. The results of the study indicate that character development at SMA PKPU, encompassing the traits of discipline, responsibility, and creativity, is carried out through teacher mentoring with an individualized approach, where teachers serve as the students' second parents, provide role modeling, guidance, and use sanctions as a last resort.

Abstract

School is a place for learners to develop potential, attitudes, and emotions. Teachers as educators play the role of role models with their personality competencies. This study aims to determine the personality competence of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers at SMPN Pidie Regency, describe the implementation of character education, and explain the relevance of teachers' personalities to the development of character education in the school. The method used is a field study with a qualitative descriptive approach, through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study show that the personality competencies of PAI teachers at SMPN Pidie Regency include stability, maturity, and wisdom, with a responsible attitude, pride in being a teacher, and commitment to self-development. PAI teachers have a work ethic based on ukhrawi intentions, and show a polite, fair, and patient attitude. They have noble morals, which can be seen from honesty and patience in supporting students, and making assignments as worship. The implementation of character education is carried out by internalizing character values into compulsory subjects, such as PAI and PKn, and using analogies that are relevant to students' lives. In local content subjects, character values such as religiosity, confidence, and discipline are also instilled. The personality of PAI teachers is very relevant in the development of character education, where teachers with integrity and empathy become effective role models for students. The personality development of PAI teachers is an important step towards achieving holistic and sustainable character education in schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the obligation of mondok in salafiyah pesantren on the success of student learning at Islamic Religious Universities (PTKI), especially at Al-Aziziyah Islamic University Indonesia (UNISAI). This research uses a qualitative approach with ethnographic methods. Data were obtained through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies of students who underwent mondok obligations at Dayah MUDI Mesjid Raya Samalanga. The results of the study show that the obligation of mondok has a positive impact on shaping student discipline, time management, and mental resilience. Structured cottage life encourages students to integrate spiritual and academic values in a balanced manner. Students not only gain a deeper understanding of religion, but also show improvements in academic performance. However, there were also several obstacles, such as double load pressure and schedule conflicts between campus and pesantren activities. This study recommends that PTKI and pesantren managers strengthen curriculum synergy and provide special assistance for monkok students. This integrative education model has proven to be able to form graduates who excel intellectually and spiritually.

Abstract

The implementation of Islamic values in the professional ethics of secretarial work in Islamic educational institutions is a crucial aspect in establishing a professional work environment based on Islamic morality. This study aims to analyze the concept of Islamic values in professional ethics, its implementation in secretarial work within Islamic educational institutions, the challenges encountered, as well as the solutions and strategies for its reinforcement. The research method employed is a qualitative approach with a literature review as the primary source. The findings indicate that Islamic values, such as honesty, trustworthiness, responsibility, discipline, and professionalism, serve as the fundamental principles of professional ethics in secretarial work. The implementation of these values is evident in administrative, communication, and service aspects, all of which adhere to Sharia principles. However, several challenges exist in its application, including a lack of understanding of Islamic ethical concepts, the influence of modernization, and weak supervision systems. Therefore, effective strategies are needed, such as specialized training, a Sharia-based management system, and regulatory reinforcement, to strengthen the application of professional ethics based on Islamic values. With optimal implementation, the secretarial profession in Islamic educational institutions can operate professionally, with integrity, and contribute positively to the development of Islamic education.

The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through literature studies, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that BWI Aceh Province has implemented a number of strategic programs such as nazhir training and certification, as well as encouraging the integration of waqf assets with the creative economy sector, although it still faces various obstacles such as limited human resources, lack of cross-sector synergy, and low public literacy about productive waqf.
