Abstract

Rice production continues to be spurred to meet the increasing need for food. Meanwhile, based on data from the Badan Pusat Statistik, in 2019 there was a decline in national rice production, especially in North Sumatra Province. In this research, it was found that the estimated amount of rice production for the next 8 periods was obtained using the Box Jenkins ARIMA method with the ARIMA model (2,0,6) experiencing an up and down trend, The MAPE (Mean Absolute Percentage Error) deviation value is obtained by 12.84%, the forecast model is quite efective to be used.

Abstract

Indonesian medicinal plants have a high contribution to world drug production. North Sumatra is one of provinces that produces a variety of traditional medicinal plants. The data in this study is secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency of North Sumatra which is data on the amount of production of medicinal horicultural plants (biopharmaceuticals) from 2007-2019 using the method Double Exponential Smoothing Brown. The purpose of this research is to get the parameters α and shape forecasting equation that can be used to estimate the amount of production of the total production of horticultural crops medicin from 2006 to 2018 by using the size of the precision of the forecasting Mean absoulte Percentage Error in the method of Double Exponential Smoothing Brown. The parameter α is best used to predict the amount of horticultural crop production of medicinal was 0.24 with a yield forecasting in 2020 amounted to 8,454,007.24 kg and in 2021 amounted to 7,779,411.27 kg.

Abstract

Kue Kacang Hijau MD is a company that engages in the food business in Sabang City. This company produces more than one flavor of mung bean cakes including original flavor, coffee flavor, durian flavor, pandan flavor and chocolate flavor. For the limitation of available raw materials, this company difficulty to optimize its production profits. The aim of this study is to determine the amount of daily production of mung bean cake so the profit is maximum with the limited raw materials that available. This study uses the Branch and Bound Method, that is a method used to solve Integer Programming. From the analysis with this method, the optimal number of mug bean cake production is 1,060 boxes per day, that is 440 boxes of original flavor, 166 boxes of coffee flavor, 146 boxes of durian flavor, 146 boxes of pandan flavor, and 162 boxes of chocolate flavor with maximum profit is Rp. 4,323,200. By applying this method, daily profit would increase 6.35% or Rp. 258,200 compared to the previous profit.

Abstract

This study aims to show the performance of the ASM method on transportation problem. The transportation problem relates to the distribution of a product from several sources, with limited supply, to several destinations, with a certain demand, in order to obtain the minimum transportation costs. However, the amount of supply and demand cannot always be known with certainty and may change from time to time. In this paper, the coefficient of supply and demand uses fuzzy numbers and uses the ASM method to determine the optimal solution both to minimize costs and maximize profits. The result is that with the ASM method, the balanced transportation problem is always optimal, while the unbalanced transportation problem is not always optimal.

Abstract

Dijkstra algorithm is one of the algorithms to determine the shortest path from one vertex to another. In this study, the authors examine the shortest path that fire engines can choose from at the Regional I Fire Unit Post and Region II Fire Unit Post to the most densely populated villages that predict fires, namely Tegal Sari I Village, Sari Rejo Village and Kampung Baru Village. The results obtained are that if a fire occurs in the Tegal Sari I and Sari Rejo Villages, the Regional I Fire Unit which has the closest distance with the shortest route length is 5.16 km and 7.28 km, while if a fire occurs in Kampung Baru Village, the Regional Fire Unit is II which has the closest distance with the shortest route length of 5.32 km.

Abstract

Clinic is a health service facility that organizes and provides basic and specialist medical services, organized by more than one type of health worker and led by a medical worker. This study aims to determine fluctuations and predict the number of therapy patients at the Child Development Clinic (Mentari Anakku) using the time series method, namely double exponential smoothing. Based on the results of the forecast using the double exponential smoothing method in the 2021 period, it is known that the total number of child development therapy patients is 7,062 people. It can be seen that the total number of patients has increased quite significantly and it is necessary for the clinic to improve the performance of the workers.

Abstract

The need for an inventory control system basically arises because of problems faced by the company in the form of excess or shortage of company inventory. The EOQ (Economic Order Quantity) method is one of the inventory control methods used to determine the number of economic orders, namely the number of orders that meet the minimum total inventory cost. The purpose of this study was to determine the optimal amount of cassava raw material inventory at UD Rezeky Baru with the EOQ method and the comparison of the total cost of raw material inventory between costs according to the company and costs according to the EOQ method. Based on the results of calculations using the EOQ method, the optimal number of orders for cassava raw materials in 2019 is 18.722,62 kg. The total cost of raw material inventory using the EOQ method is Rp. 1.497.809,00, while according to the company, it is Rp. 9.467.640,00. The company can save on inventory costs by Rp. 7.969.830,00.

Abstract

Economic growth in our country comes from various sectors, one of which is the agricultural and plantation sectors. This sector plays an important role in generating a source of foreign exchange for our country after the oil and gas mining sector through its commodity exports. The data used by the author in this final project is secondary data from the Central Bureau of Statistics of North Sumatra regarding oil palm production in Simalungun Regency. Quantitative analysis is used to determine the amount of oil palm production in Simalungun Regency which is predicted in 2020, 2021, and 2022, involving production patterns from 2000 to 2019 Then based on the amount of production data, the data is processed using quantitative time forecasting methods. series, namely Double Exponential Smoothing one parameter from Brown, by looking at the resulting error value, namely the Mean Absoute Percentage Error (MAPE) value. Based on forecasting results, the amount of oil palm production in Simalungun Regency in 2020 is 467,295.15 tons, the amount of oil palm production in Simalungun Regency in 2021 is 501,766.48 tons, in 2022 it is 536,237.81 tons. So the production of palm oil in Simalungun Regency increases from year to year, but there are times when it decreases not so drastically, so it can be concluded that the production of palm oil harvests in Simalungun Regency is increasing.

Abstract

Path analysis is a research method that is mainly used to examine the strength of direct and indirect relationships among various variables. This is in line with one of the objectives of research in social science, namely to determine the existence of a causal relationship. Path analysis can be applied to a social issue, currently the world is worried about the spread of COVID-19. The existence of policies in controlling the spread of COVID-19 disrupts various aspects of life. This study was conducted to determine the factors that cause crime in North Sumatra and to determine the effect of the COVID-19 on the rise of crime rates using the path analysis method. In this study, it was concluded that although there are several exogenous variables that have decreased influence on endogenous variables in 2020, but in this year, which is the pandemic period, the coefficient of determination has the best level.

Abstract

Inventory of raw material is one of the factors in the production process. Whereas lack of material would result in a slowing down of production, excess of raw materials would result in increased storage and other costs. The purpose of this study was to identify and analyze the control of the supply of raw materials applied by jofie bakery & cake shop. The kind of research used was quantitative research. The data source in this study USES secondary data sources directly from the company. The result of study showed that the use of EOQ methods on companies was resulted in cheaper cost when compared with the methods used by the company, and there was a difference in cost-saving expenses at 3.5% on average.
