Abstract

Water is one of the most essential natural resources for living organisms. Tonjong Village is a residential, agricultural, and fish farming area. According to the test results from the Environmental Laboratory Unit of the Environmental Agency, the groundwater quality in Tonjong Village shows the following physical and chemical parameters: TDS 3352 mg/L, TSS 11 mg/L, pH 6.85, Hardness (CaCO?) 1100 mg/L, COD 9.34 mg/L, and BOD 2.40 mg/L. This study aims to reduce TDS and water hardness using a multi-stage treatment method. The research consists of three stages: the preliminary stage, the equipment fabrication stage, and the testing stage. The results indicate a decrease in TDS from 3352 mg/L to 1380 mg/L and a reduction in hardness using material variation 2 from 1100 mg/L to 752.5 mg/L.

Abstract

Disposable batteries are commonly found in dry batteries (or zinc-carbon batteries) that are discarded and converted into waste. Zinc-carbon batteries have a physical component, a carbon rod that has a graphitic carbon component that has a black pigment. This black pigment is utilized as an alternative black carbon material for the manufacture of whiteboard marker ink. This research aims to utilize graphite carbon from waste batteries as a pigment in whiteboard marker ink and test the formulation of ink samples. The supporting materials in this research are glycerin, thinner, gum arabic solution, and emulsion. The best ink sample has a density value of 1.35 g/cm3, a viscosity of 0.13 Poise, a transmittance of 72 lux, a pH of 7.67, adhesion has a dense wet nature and moderate absorbency, and non-volatility of 75% ink using a carbon mass of 6.5 grams and the ratio of thinner and glycerin is 2:5.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to analyze strategies for integrating technology into future curriculum design to enhance the efficiency, flexibility, and relevance of digital learning. This study employs a literature review method by examining ten national and international journals published within the last five years, focusing on the roles of artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and adaptive learning models such as flipped classroom and hybrid learning. The findings indicate that systematically designed technology integration can create learning experiences that are personalized, interactive, and data-driven, while also supporting the achievement of 21st-century competencies. However, challenges such as limited infrastructure, teacher readiness, and ethical issues related to data usage remain significant obstacles. Therefore, technology integration in curriculum development should be implemented inclusively, sustainably, and responsively, taking into account both local contexts and global educational dynamics.

Abstract

Globalization demands an education system that is adaptive to diversity and socio-cultural challenges. Multicultural curriculum is an important strategy in strengthening intercultural literacy and forming tolerant characters in a pluralistic society. This article analyzes the role of multicultural curriculum in responding to global challenges through a literature review of national and international scientific journals (2020-2025). The results show that the integration of multicultural values in the curriculum can improve cross-cultural understanding, tolerance, and students' readiness to face the global era. However, its implementation still faces obstacles such as the dominance of majority values, limited teacher competence, and policies that are not fully inclusive. Systematic policies and strategies are needed to ensure equitable and diversity-responsive education.

Abstract

Strategic management has emerged as a critical determinant of institutional success in higher education, especially in the context of dynamic policy environments and increasing global competition. This study aims to systematically review the role of strategic management in enhancing university performance in Indonesia using the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) approach. A comprehensive literature search was conducted using Scopus and other reputable databases, focusing on peer-reviewed articles published between 2015 and 2025. A total of 45 studies met the inclusion criteria and were analysed for key themes, strategies, and outcomes. The findings reveal that strategic management practices-particularly strategic planning, leadership, governance, quality assurance, and innovation-significantly influence academic performance, institutional sustainability, and stakeholder satisfaction. Moreover, universities that align their strategic initiatives with national accreditation standards and digital transformation agendas tend to outperform their peers. This review highlights the urgent need for Indonesian higher education institutions to institutionalize strategic thinking as a continuous, evidence-based process. The study contributes to the growing body of literature on higher education management and offers practical insights for policymakers, university leaders, and education strategists.

Abstract

This study aims to critically examine the application of the restorative justice principle in the handling of corruption crimes (tipikor) in Indonesia, particularly as facilitated by the Circular Letter of the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (JAMPIDSUS) No. B-1113/F/Fd.1/05/2010. Although restorative justice emphasizes restitution and participatory resolution, its implementation in corruption cases raises serious concerns regarding substantive justice, legal certainty, and the potential for impunity. This research adopts a normative juridical approach, employing Islamic legal principles as an analytical framework to assess the alignment of restorative justice with the core values of Islamic law, including justice (‘adl), public interest (ma?la?ah), and the prevention of wrongdoing (zajr). Initial findings indicate that restorative justice, when applied loosely and without strict boundaries or adequate sanctions, may conflict with Islamic legal values, especially in the context of corruption, which is categorized as an extraordinary crime. Therefore, this study aims to formulate a model for the application of restorative justice that is fair, proportional, and aligned with maq??id al-shar?‘ah, thereby contributing to the reform of Indonesia’s criminal law system.
