Abstract

This paper aims to know the experiences of the selected Christian residents of San Juan, Ternate, Cavite in consulting folk healers and to examine the awareness of the participants in their church’s stance on folk healing practices. Folk healing was a huge part of Filipino culture long before the Colonial period. Folk healers or also known as Albularyos serve as spiritual and medicinal figures in the Philippines, especially in the provinces where there is poverty. This paper uses a Qualitative method through structured interviews to answer the research questions. Using Purposive sampling technique, 8 participants from Ternate, Cavite who are devoted Christians were carefully selected to be the perfect respondents of this study. Interestingly, all of the respondents are not informed about the church’s stance on folk healing, most of them are regular church attendees and also visit folk healers regularly. This paper offers recommendations to help the church disseminate her teachings without discrimination.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to improve the mathematics learning outcomes of class VII F students at SMP Negeri 9 Palu through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model in the mathematics subject of numbers. This research is class action research (Class Action Research) which consists of two cycles. Each cycle consists of action planning, action implementation, observation and reflection. The research subjects were students of class VII F at SMP Negeri 9 Palu. Data sources come from teachers and students obtained through observation, interviews, tests and document review. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. The results of the research show that: (1) The teacher's ability to carry out learning using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) method to improve student learning outcomes in mathematics learning at SMP Negeri 9 Palu in cycle I had an average of 78% (sufficient), while in cycle II to 90% (very good), this shows an increase of 12%. (2) There was an increase in student learning outcomes in mathematics learning in Whole Numbers material using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) method in class VII-F of SMP Negeri 9 Palu, where student learning outcomes in cycle I had an average score of 69.70% with the percentage of completeness was 54.54%, while in the cycle II test results the average score was 71.81% with a percentage of completeness of 75.75%. This shows an increase in student learning outcomes by 2.11%.

Abstract

Whenever discussing political events, the thing that does not escape discussion is the cost or cost that must be incurred for political financing. It cannot be denied that every political activity carried out by individuals and political parties cannot be avoided by the political costs accompanying it. The purpose of this research is to find out the existence of political dowries issued in every election contestation in Indonesia, the methods used to win in election contestation, to find out the chances of winning for election contestants with the ability to spend a lot of money and little money. The method used in this research is library research, where secondary data sources are taken from a collection of articles, books, and other readings related to the research. The result of the research is that every contestation in the election cannot be avoided by spending money, because the consequences of every competition (competition) to win the sympathy and support of voters (the people) need the cost of campaign props (stickers, business cards, billboards, etc.), the cost of transportation fuel used to visit voters, the cost of data pulses and so on. This research concludes that it is a necessity for every person who will advance to compete either as a Legislative Candidate, Candidate for Regent / Mayor or Governor and Presidential Candidate, there is financing that must be incurred in the success of his candidacy

Abstract

This article discusses the factors that cause gadget addiction in children, the impact of gadget addiction on children's mental health, especially in the alpha generation, and provides strategies or solutions to overcome it. The research method used is literature study and analysis of secondary data from various trusted sources. Data was collected through a literature review which included journals, scientific articles, and research reports resulting from interviews and questionnaires. The research results show that one of the factors causing children to become addicted to gadgets is a lack of parental supervision and parenting which causes problems with the child's physical and mental health. Abstract

This research presents four problem formulation items, namely: First, what is the structure of the novel Alf Syams Musyriqah? Second, what are the social facts in Alf Syams Musyriqah's novel? Third, what is the collective subject in Alf Syams Musyriqah's novel? Fourth, what is Khaled Hosseini's world view in Alf Syams' novel Musyriqah? This type of research is library research. The approach used is a literary sociology approach using the theory of genetic structuralism as an analytical tool. The data collection method used in this research is literature study. The data analysis technique used in this research is the dialectical technique which is part of genetic structuralism. The results of this research show that: First, the structure of the novel Alf Syams Musyriqah by Khaled Hosseini raises three themes, namely the themes of patriarchy, domestic violence, and the impact of war and political conflict. The setting in Alf Syams Musyriqah's novel is divided into two, namely the setting of place and the setting of time. The settings in this novel include Herat, Kabul, Shahr-e-Nau Park, Murree, school, women's prison and hospital. The time setting in this novel includes the era of King Zahir Shah's monarchy, the Daoud Khan regime, the Soviet Union regime, the Mujahideen regime, the Taliban regime, the American invasion and the collapse of the Taliban regime. Second, the social facts in Alf Syams Musyriqah's novel are: Political Conflict and War in Afghanistan, the Afghan refugee crisis, patriarchal culture, which includes restrictions on women's freedom, early marriage and domestic violence. Alf Syams' novel Musyriqah is not only a work of fiction, but also a reflection of the socio-historical reality of Afghanistan. Hosseini raised various phenomena that occurred in his home country in his literary works, especially in the novel Alf Syams Musyriqah, which aims to raise global awareness about the situation in Afghanistan. Third, through lower class figures, namely Mariam and Laila, Hosseini represents the collective voice of the oppressed Afghan people, especially women who are victims of political conflict, domestic violence and social injustice. Fourth, Khaled Hosseini's world view in Alf Syams' novel Musyriqah is a feminist view. Hosseini spoke out about gender equality and the importance of women's empowerment in building a better future for Afghanistan. Through the characters Maryam and Laila, Hosseini voices his views through a depiction of how women are able to survive and fight oppression even though they are trapped in a restrictive patriarchal culture.The implication of the results of this research is that this research is expected to provide a deeper understanding of how Khaled Hosseini's empirical life influenced the formation of Alf Syams' novel Musyriqah, as well as how the novel responds to and reflects the socio-cultural conditions of Afghan society. Apart from that, it is hoped that the results of this research can be an inspiration and reference for other researchers who use genetic structuralism theory or use Alf Syams Musyriqah's novel as a research object.

Abstract

This research is aimed to find out is there any significant effect of using Instagram Media and Blended Learning towards students’ writing skill on the eleventh grade of MA Daar El Mu’minin in academic year 2020-2021. The population is the second-grade students of MA Daar El Mu’minin. The sample of the research is two classes. They are XI IPS 1 as the controlled class and XI IPS 2 as experimental class. It was conducted by using true experimental research design. The experimental group was taught by using Instagram Media and Blended Learning, while the controlled group was taught by using conventional learning using power point. The instrument was used to collect the data by writing a Descriptive text. After analysing the data, it was found that the value of wiring test using Instagram media t-test was t-count t-table (4.039 2.024) and for Writing using Blended learning was t-count t-table (4.182 2.024). it means that alternative hypotheses (Ha) were accepted and null hypotheses (Ho) were rejected. So, there is significant effects of using Instagram Media and Blended Learning towards students’ Writing skill.

Abstract

This study is related to legal protection for victims of child violence in the school environment based on Law no. 35 of 2014 as a case study at SMP Negeri 1 Sunggal. The objectives of this study include explaining the factors causing violence against children at SMP Negeri 1 Sunggal, explaining legal protection against violence against children at SMP Negeri 1 Sunggal, and describing the influence of Law No. 35 of 2014 on efforts to prevent violence against children at SMP Negeri 1 Sunggal. The type of qualitative research used with a descriptive research method that will explain various conditions and situations that arise in society and become objects in the study based on what happened. Samples were taken from 30 students, 1 Principal, 5 BK Teachers and homeroom teachers, and 2 School Employees by purposive sampling. Data will be collected through observation, documentation, and interviews. Then the data will be analyzed based on the Miles and Huberman model (1984), namely activities in qualitative data analysis are carried out interactively through data reduction (data editing), data presentation (data presentation), and verification (drawing conclusions). The results of the study indicate that there are 2 factors causing violence against children in SMP Negeri 1 Sunggal, namely internal and external factors. Legal protection for victims of violence against children in SMP Negeri 1 Sunggal can be achieved through mediation and legal sanctions based on Article 54 of Law Number 35 of 2014. Furthermore, the results of the study also stated that Law Number 35 of 2014 has a good influence because of the firmness of legal sanctions for students who are perpetrators and provides legal protection for students as victims of violence.

الملخص: يهدف هذا البحث إلى تحديد وتفسير المعنى الذي تحتويه أغنية زهرة المدائن، واستكشاف السياق الثقافي والتاريخي الذي يؤثر على معنى الأغنية، وتطوير فهم نظري لكيفية تطبيق نظرية مايكل ريفاتير السيميائية في الموسيقى. تحليل النصوص الأدبية. طريقة البحث المستخدمة هي طريقة البحث النوعي وهذا النوع من البحث هو البحث المكتبي (.أبحاث المكتبة). المنهج المستخدم هو المنهج السيميائي باستخدام نظرية مايكل ريفاتير كأداة تحليلية. تم تنفيذ طريقة جمع البيانات من خلال دراسة الأدبيات، وكانت تقنية تحليل البيانات المستخدمة هي القراءة المتكررة وتسجيل البيانات، من خلال القراءة الإرشادية، والتأويل، والتعبيرات غير المباشرة، والمصفوفات، والنماذج، والمتغيرات، والهيموجرام. وفقًا لمفهوم مايكل ريفاتير. تظهر نتائج هذا البحث أن أغنية زهرة المدائن في المقاطع من الأول إلى السابع تعني أن المؤلف يعبر عن آماله وصلواته وشوقه لمدينة القدس أو القدس، باعتبارها رمزا للديانات الثلاث وهي الإسلام. والمسيحية واليهودية. في المقاطع الخامس والسادس والسابع يشرح يانغ أماكن العبادة كرموز للدين. كما ذكر المعابد كمكان للعبادة/معبد لليهود، والكنائس كأماكن للعبادة للمسيحيين، والمساجد كأماكن للعبادة للمسلمين. وفي المقاطع من الثامن إلى العاشر التي تشرح الرمزين العقائديين اللذين يقول فيهما المؤلف عن الإسراء والمعراج بالنبي محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم: كما قال رسول الله كما صدقه المسلمون. وذكر مريم . في المقاطع من 11 إلى 17 على النحو التالي، يروي المؤلف تجاربه أثناء الصراع (الحرب) وكذلك مشاعر الحزن والخسارة التي شعر بها للمدينة المقدسة. إن تأثير هذا الصراع لا يؤذيهم جسديًا فحسب، بل يؤثر عليهم نفسيًا أيضًا. في المقاطع من 18 إلى 21. في هذا المقطع يكشف المؤلف عن مشاعره. يكشف فيه المؤلف أنه عند حدوث الصراع، يختلط التوتر والخوف معًا، لكن الأشخاص الذين يناضلون من أجل السلام لا يخافون بسبب إيمانهم بأن الخالق (الله) سيكون دائمًا بجانبهم وسيحمي دائمًا أولئك الذين يناضلون من أجل السلام.

Abstract

The article examines the main historical facts about the formation of rock climbing in the Republic of Kazakhstan since the establishment of the state in 1991. An assessment of the state of Kazakhstani sports as a whole was made using the example of Olympic sports. A detailed analysis of all official international performances of Kazakhstani rock climbers in adult and youth competitions was conducted. Visual tables and graphs are presented showing the negative state of sport climbing in Kazakhstan today. Key external factors influencing the development of Kazakhstani rock climbing are highlighted. The continuity of the country's general political system was demonstrated in the choice of the leadership of the Federation of Rock Climbing and Mountaineering.

Abstract

This research is motivated by student problems which in the current digital era, the development of information and communication technology has had a significant impact on student morality, especially among students. Easy access to various information via the internet and social media often exposes them to negative content that can influence behavior and moral values. Moral degradation among students characterized by deviant behavior is a major concern with factors such as lack of parental supervision, peer influence and the community environment also contributing to this phenomenon. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the causes of moral degradation in Class. This research uses a qualitative method using a descriptive approach. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 17 and focused on teachers and students. Data collection in this research was through observation, interviews and documentation with primary data obtained from direct interviews and secondary data from related documents. The results of this research show that the occurrence of moral degradation among students at SMA Negeri 17 Tebo in the era of technological development has both positive and negative impacts. This is proven by the fact that there are still students who misuse technological developments, causing a decline in moral values including a sense of responsibility, mutual respect and the ability to make wise decisions. From the results of this research, it is recommended that schools carry out good cooperation between teachers, parents and the community to guide, supervise and educate students and that efforts are needed to ensure that technology is used appropriately so that moral values are maintained.
