Abstract

Breast cancer is the main cause of death in women. The prevalence of cancer in West Java is still relatively high. In Bekasi City, there has been an increase in the presentation of breast cancer in women aged 30-50 years from 77 people (1.85%) in 2017 to 91 people (4.18%) in 2018. This is due to a lack of knowledge and awareness of doing Breast Self-Examination (BSE) to prevent breast cancer. The research objective was to find out the relationship between information exposure and education level on BSE knowledge in WUS at the Endang Sundari Midwife Independent Practice Center in Bekasi 2022. This research used a descriptive design with a cross-sectional design, a sample size of 123 respondents. The sample used used the inclusion criteria, namely not being pregnant or breastfeeding, being able to read and write as well as the exclusion criteria of having breast cancer experience. The questionnaire used has been tested for validity and reliability. Using bivariate analysis with chi square test. The results showed that there was a relationship between information exposure (p-value 0.000 0.05) and level of education (p-value 0.000 0.05) with knowledge of women of childbearing age about BSE. This exposure to information and high education can increase BSE knowledge in women of childbearing age.

Abstract

Anemia is a condition where the hemoglobin (Hb) level in red blood cells is lower than the standard. Pregnant women are said to be anemic if the Hb content is 11gr/dl. The prevalence rate of anemia in pregnant women in Indonesia is 48.9%, in Central Java in 2018 it was 57.1%, while in Semarang City in 2021 it reached 15.4%, in Bangetayu Health Center it was 19.93%. Anemia in pregnant women can increase the risk of premature birth, maternal and child mortality, and infectious diseases. Government efforts require pregnant women to take a minimum of 90 tablets during pregnancy. One of the factors causing high anemia in pregnant women is the low compliance of pregnant women in taking blood supplement tablets. Support from husbands and cadres is needed to increase compliance when taking blood tablets. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between husband and cadre support with the compliance of pregnant women in taking blood supplement tablets at Bangetayu Health Center, Semarang City. This study used quantitative research methods with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all pregnant women in the third trimester in May in the Bangetayu Health Center working area of Semarang City, totaling 39 respondents. Sampling with simple random sampling technique. Data analysis using ch square test. The results showed that there was a relationship between husband support (p value 0.00) and cadres (p value 0.00) with the compliance of pregnant women in taking blood supplement tablets at Bangetayu Health Center, Semarang City. The existence of this study is expected that health workers can involve husbands and cadres to supervise pregnant women in taking blood tablets.

Abstract

Background: The incidence of short toddlers or commonly referred to as stunting is a chronic nutritional problem because of malnutrition that has accumulated over a long period of time. Chronic malnutrition occurs from infancy in the womb until the age of two. Data on the prevalence of stunting under five collected by the World Health Organization (WHO) shows that Indonesia is included in the third country with the highest prevalence in the Southeast Asia region / South-East Asia Regional (SEAR). Currently the most important thing to reduce the risk of stunting in toddlers is to provide health education to parents through Video GIZTING, where parents with low education generally trigger stunting in children twice as high as parents with higher education. Objective: To give influence of video media "GIZTING" on knowledge and behavior families of stunting toddlers.Method: This study used a method Quasy experimental with two groups of pre-test post-test design with control and methods of data collection with repeated measurements (pre-test-post-test field trial). Data analysis: Data analysis using computer-assisted SPSS 16 statistical test using independent t test and dependent t test. The results are accepted if p 0.05.Results: The results showed that the difference in the increase in the average score of knowledge, attitudes and behavior of mothers with stunting toddlers after being given stunting prevention education in the stunting video media group and the control group was knowledge of attitudes and behavior. The results of the statistical test of knowledge with p-value = 0.0001 attitude with p-value = 0.0001 and behavior with p-value = 0.0001Conclusion: There was a significant difference between the video gizting media group and the control group after being given education. It is hoped that health education training will be held using video gizting media for mothers with stunting toddlers in increasing knowledge, attitudes and behavior about stunting and one of the efforts to reduce stunting incidence in toddlers.
