Abstract

Accurate patient identification is a main goal of patient safety in health services, as it prevents mistreatment that can cause serious injury or death. Yet, nursing practice shows ongoing non-compliance by health workers with standard procedures, raising medical error risks. Thus, systematically studying non-compliance with patient identification as a mistreatment risk factor is essential. This study analyzes the concept of patient identification non-compliance via Walker and Avant's eight-stage approach. Data came from a systematic review of 60 peer-reviewed articles (2011–2025) from PubMed, Google Scholar, and ScienceDirect. Results reveal characteristics like failure to follow standards, pre-intervention occurrence, health worker involvement, and intentional/unintentional nature. Antecedents include individual factors, service systems, and work environments. Consequences encompass heightened mistreatment risk, procedural errors, patient injuries, legal/psychological impacts on nurses, and institutional losses. In conclusion, non-compliance with patient identification is a key patient safety concept and triggers major mistreatment. Strengthening compliance requires continuous education, system support, and robust safety culture in facilities.

Abstract

Non-Performing Financing (NPF) is a major issue facing Islamic banking in Indonesia, potentially impacting business performance, stability, and sustainability. This study aims to analyze the internal and external factors that contribute to NPF and examine the control mechanisms and financing risk mitigation strategies in Islamic banking. A qualitative approach, using a literature study, was used, through secondary data analysis sourced from Financial Services Authority (OJK) reports, laws and regulations, and relevant scientific journals. The study results indicate that NPF is influenced by internal factors, such as the quality of financing analysis, risk management, contract structure, and customer understanding of Islamic financing products, as well as external factors such as economic conditions, competition between financial institutions, and regulatory changes. NPF control is achieved through the implementation of risk management, encompassing a structured process of risk identification, measurement, monitoring, and control, with the active involvement of management and the Sharia Supervisory Board. This study emphasizes the importance of strengthening comprehensive and adaptive financing risk management to reduce NPF levels and maintain the stability of Islamic banking in Indonesia.

Abstract

Health is an important aspect for every individual because it directly influences lifestyle habits. Clinics play a significant role in improving a person's health. The quality of a clinic is greatly influenced by various factors, one of which is patient satisfaction. A service is considered satisfactory if it can meet the needs and expectations of patients. Therefore, it is important for a clinic to evaluate patient satisfaction with the services provided by doctors, especially at Widodo Dental in North Jakarta. This study involved 210 respondents using a purposive sampling method. Data were collected through a questionnaire using a 5-point Likert scale, and then analyzed using PLS-SEM with the help of SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results showed that doctor services have a significant positive influence on patient satisfaction, with an R-square value of 0.680. Analysis of the measurement and structural models showed that all indicators used in this study were valid and reliable. Doctor services play a very important role in improving patient satisfaction. Clinics are advised to improve communication between doctors and patients so that information provided is clearer and easier to understand. This study contributes to efforts to improve the quality of services in the primary healthcare sector

Abstract

Overthinking is a mental health issue that may arise in individuals throughout their lives. Early adulthood is a transitional period from adolescence to adulthood. This period often affects emotional stability and causes anxiety. Excessive anxiety frequently triggers overthinking. The approaches used in this study include developmental psychology theory, the expressionist aesthetic theory, and ergonomic theory. Additionally, the creation process employs the Practice-led Research method, encompassing the stages of preparation, imagination, development of imagination, and execution. The creative process involves the batik lorod (hand-drawn batik) technique with textile dyes using the colet remasol technique. The steps include pattern creation, motif tracing, waxing (canting), dyeing, batik finishing, fabric cutting, sewing, and garment finishing. The final products of this project consist of five outerwear garments, each featuring unique batik colours and designs. These five pieces are titled Fear of the Unknown, Shadows of What-Ifs, Endless Loops, Shattered, and The Sea of Uncertainty. The distinct titles aim to convey the theme of each outerwear

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of change management and the dynamics of organizational culture at XYZ's in facing digital transformation. Work system changes were made to improve efficiency and data accuracy. The approach used was descriptive qualitative with a case study method. Data were obtained through informal interviews and observations with analysis using Lewin and Kotter's change theory and Schein's organizational culture. The results show that the implementation of XYZ's change management occurred starting from the unfreeze, change, and refreeze stages and fulfilled Kotter's 8 Steps stages with an organizational culture moving towards digital and collaborative, although resistance still arises from some senior employees. Factors supporting the change include management support, technological infrastructure, and training for employees. Meanwhile, factors inhibiting the change come from low digital literacy and employee unpreparedness. This indicates that an adaptive culture needs to be strengthened through leadership and continuous human resource development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of human resource management on the effectiveness of waste management with organizational commitment as a mediating variable in Kefullan Tengah Village. This study uses a quantitative approach with a total of 160 respondents, consisting of cleaners, village officials, RT/RW chairs, and the community. The data was analyzed using SmartPLS 4.0 to see the direct and indirect influence between variables. The results of the study show that HR management has a significant effect on organizational commitment and the effectiveness of waste management. Organizational commitment has also been proven to have a significant effect on the effectiveness of waste management. However, the indirect influence of HR management through organizational commitment to waste management effectiveness is not significant, indicating that the role of organizational commitment as a mediator has not been optimal. These findings imply that strengthening HR management, such as training, coaching, and rewarding, has a greater direct impact on the effectiveness of waste management. In addition, increasing organizational commitment is still important to be carried out as a support for the success of the cleanliness program at the village level. This research is expected to be a reference for local governments in improving the effectiveness of public services, especially in the field of waste management.

Abstract

Acute respiratory infection (ARI) is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality among children worldwide, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. Children are more vulnerable to ARI because their respiratory defense mechanisms, including mucociliary clearance and immune responses, are not yet fully developed. This condition increases the risk of infection and the severity of respiratory illnesses. Zinc is an essential micronutrient that plays a crucial role in various enzymatic processes, cellular metabolism, and the regulation of the immune system. Zinc deficiency has been associated with impaired immune function, making children more susceptible to infectious diseases, including ARI. Therefore, zinc supplementation has been proposed as a potential adjunct therapy to improve clinical outcomes in children with ARI. This literature review aimed to evaluate evidence from clinical trials regarding the effectiveness of zinc supplementation as an adjunct therapy in pediatric ARI. A systematic search was conducted using the PubMed, Cochrane Library, and ScienceDirect databases, and study selection and synthesis followed the PRISMA approach. A total of 11 clinical trials were included in this review. The findings demonstrated inconsistent results in terms of symptom duration, severity reduction, and recovery time among children receiving zinc supplementation. Based on the current evidence, zinc supplementation cannot yet be recommended as a routine adjunct therapy for the management of ARI in children, and further high-quality, well-designed clinical trials are needed to clarify its potential benefits.

Abstract

Leadership is a strategic factor in improving organizational effectiveness, particularly in public sector institutions where service quality and employee performance are closely linked to leadership practices. One leadership style often encountered in government organizations is laissez-faire leadership, which is characterized by minimal direct intervention from leaders and a high level of autonomy granted to employees in carrying out their tasks. While this leadership style may encourage independence and creativity, its effectiveness largely depends on the organizational context, especially the quality of the work environment. This study aims to analyze the effect of laissez-faire leadership on the work environment and employee performance at the DKI Jakarta Education Office. The research adopts a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected through structured questionnaires distributed to employees and subsequently analyzed using multiple linear regression techniques. The analysis focuses on examining both the direct and indirect relationships between leadership style, work environment, and employee performance. The results indicate that laissez-faire leadership has a significant influence on the work environment, particularly in terms of flexibility, interpersonal relationships, and perceived autonomy. Furthermore, the work environment is found to have a significant effect on employee performance. However, the direct impact of laissez-faire leadership on employee performance is relatively weak when not supported by a conducive work environment. Therefore, this study concludes that the work environment plays a crucial mediating role in strengthening the influence of laissez-faire leadership on employee performance in public sector organizations.

Abstract

Moral detachment is an important cognitive mechanism that allows a person to commit aggressive actions without feeling personal sanctions or guilt. This study aims to describe and compile various factors before the occurrence of moral detachment in adolescents and young adult individuals using a broad study approach. A total of 23 scientific articles from international and local publication databases between 2020 and 2025 were analyzed thematically. The results of the data aggregation show that moral release is influenced by interactions involving many factors that include individual, social, digital environment, as well as organizational aspects. Intrapersonal traits such as dark personality traits (Dark Triad), anger traits, and low self-control abilities emerged as main indicators. On the environmental side, the weakness of parental bonds, friendship status, exposure to violent media, and a loose school atmosphere significantly accelerate the emergence of moral detachment.
