The intervention was in the form of consumption of sour turmeric herbal drinks and red ginger for 4 weeks. Data were analyzed using paired t-test. Results: The average reproductive health knowledge increased significantly (p < 0.05), the regularity of the menstrual cycle improved, and the intensity of menstrual pain decreased from a score of 6.2 to 3.8 on the VAS scale. Conclusion: Consumption of herbal plants has been shown to improve the reproductive health of adolescent girls.

Abstract

Background: Slow uterine involution during postpartum may increase the risk of bleeding and infection. One effective non-pharmacological method is oxytocin massage to stimulate the release of the hormone oxytocin, which helps with uterine contractions. Objective: To determine the effect of oxytocin massage on the acceleration of uterine involution in postpartum mothers. Methods: Quantitative research with quasi-experiment design using pretest-posttest control group design. A sample of 40 postpartum mothers at TPMB R Purwakarta Regency was divided into an intervention group (oxytocin massage) and a control group (routine care). Uterine involution is measured on the 1st, 3rd, and 7th days postpartum. Data analysis used independent t-test and paired t-test. Results: The average decrease in uterine fundus height in the intervention group was faster than in the control group with significant differences (p < 0.05). Conclusion: Oxytocin massage effectively accelerates uterine involution in postpartum mothers.

Abstract

Successful exclusive breastfeeding remains a challenge, especially for primiparous mothers. Perineal wounds are a common condition experienced by postpartum mothers due to vaginal delivery. Proper wound management is crucial to prevent infection and accelerate healing. Binahong leaves (Anredera cordifolia (Ten.) Steenis) are known to contain flavonoids, saponins, and ascorbic acid, which act as anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and accelerate tissue regeneration. This study aims to determine the effect of binahong leaf administration on the duration of perineal wound healing in postpartum mothers at the Koncara Community Health Center in Purwakarta. The study used a quasi-experimental design with a post-test only control group. The sample consisted of 60 postpartum mothers (30 in the intervention group, 30 in the control group) taken using a purposive sampling technique. The results of the analysis using an independent t-test showed a significant difference in wound healing time between the intervention and control groups (p < 0.05). The average wound healing in the intervention group was faster (5.2 days) than the control group (7.1 days). Conclusion: Administering binahong leaves significantly accelerated perineal wound healing in postpartum mothers. Binahong leaves are recommended as a complementary therapy for perineal wound care.

Abstract

The increasing prevalence of adolescent nutritional problems, particularly those related to breakfast habits and obesity, necessitates effective nutrition education strategies that can be implemented both in traditional face-to-face settings and through digital platforms. Contemporary educational approaches must adapt to technological advances while maintaining pedagogical effectiveness, making it crucial to evaluate the comparative efficacy of different delivery methods for nutrition education among adolescents. This study aims to determine the difference in nutrition knowledge levels among junior high school students who received nutrition education using booklet media through offline (luring) and online (daring) methods. The research design employed was a quasi-experimental approach with a nonequivalent control group design, involving 60 eighth-grade students from SMP Al-Islam 1 Surakarta and SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Surakarta. Participants were divided into a control group (offline) and an experimental group (online). Data were collected using a questionnaire consisting of 20 validated questions regarding the importance of breakfast, administered before (pretest) and after (posttest) the intervention. Data analysis was conducted using the Wilcoxon test for within-group comparisons and the independent sample t-test for between-group comparisons. The results showed an average difference in students' knowledge scores of 19.67 for the offline method and 19.83 for the online method, with a p-value of 0.904, indicating no significant difference between the two methods. These findings suggest that both methods are equally effective in improving students' nutrition knowledge, making them viable alternatives for nutrition education in schools.

Abstract

Menarche is a crucial phase in the lives of adolescent girls that often triggers anxiety due to a lack of information and environmental support. Family support, especially from parents, plays a crucial role in helping adolescents adapt to this biological change. This study aims to analyze the relationship between family support and anxiety levels in seventh-grade female adolescents at SMP Negeri 9 Purwakarta. The research method used was descriptive correlational with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 70 female students selected using a total sampling technique. The research instruments were a family support questionnaire and the Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HARS). The results of the analysis using the Spearman Rank test showed a significant negative relationship between family support and anxiety (p < 0.05; r = -0.62). The higher the family support, the lower the level of anxiety in adolescent girls facing menarche.
