Abstract

Correspondence services at the village level are still largely done manually, resulting in slow submission processes, inefficient archive management, and requiring residents to come directly to the village office. This study aims to develop a website-based digital correspondence system to support government administration services in Kalinanas Village, Japah District, Blora Regency. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model, which includes: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. System testing was conducted using black-box testing and user feasibility testing on 12 village officials. The results showed that the system was successfully developed and can be used for letter submission, data verification, archive management, and online letter status monitoring. The results of black-box testing showed that all main functions ran according to design, while the user feasibility test obtained an average score of 88.25% with a very feasible category. In conclusion, the developed website-based digital correspondence system has proven to be feasible and effective in supporting government administration services in Kalinanas Village. This system can simplify the letter management process and increase the efficiency of village administration services. As a follow-up, it is recommended that village officials undergo ongoing training and develop additional features to improve accessibility and user convenience.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of self-concept, which is seen as the primary foundation for adolescent personal development. However, field observations indicate that not all adolescents are able to develop a positive self-concept. Therefore, this study aims to compare differences in adolescent self-concept levels before and after being treated with person-centered group counseling services using the expressive writing technique. The research was an experimental study using a one-group pretest-posttest design. A sample of six students was selected using purposive sampling. Based on pre-test and post-test data, the mean score before treatment was 85, which is considered low, and after treatment, it showed an increase with a mean score of 134.67. The paired t-test analysis obtained a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, indicating a difference in adolescent self-concept levels before and after being treated with the expressive writing technique for seven sessions. These results indicate that person-centered group counseling services using the expressive writing technique can improve adolescent self-concept.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes through the application of the scaffolding method to the topic of electrolyte and nonelectrolyte solutions in grade XI students of SMA Negeri 14 Medan. The research was motivated by the low student learning outcomes due to the use of conventional learning methods that lack student engagement. This study was a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, covering the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages, with 30 grade XI students as subjects. Data collection techniques were carried out through tests (pre-test and post-test) and observation, while data analysis used N-Gain. The results showed an increase in student learning outcomes, where in the first cycle the N-Gain value was 0.6 (moderate category) and increased in the second cycle to 0.73 (high category). In addition, student engagement in the learning process also increased. Thus, the application of the scaffolding method is effective in improving learning outcomes by providing gradual assistance and student engagement in the topic of electrolyte and nonelectrolyte solutions.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a chemistry learning e-module based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) on chemical bonding material for grade XI high school students. The problem in this study is the low level of higher-order thinking skills of students and the limited teaching materials that support analysis, evaluation, and creation activities. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model which is limited to the analysis, design, and development stages. The subjects in this study consisted of material expert validators, media expert validators, and chemistry teachers as practitioners who play a role in assessing the feasibility of the developed product. Data were obtained through a validation questionnaire and analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis techniques by calculating the average percentage score to determine the level of product feasibility. The results showed that the developed e-module obtained a very high level of feasibility, namely 90.64% from media experts, 88.33% from material experts, and 92.95% from teacher assessments, with the category of very feasible. Thus, the developed HOTS-based e-module is declared valid in terms of content and media, and theoretically feasible for use as a digital teaching material to support the development of students' higher-order thinking skills.

Abstract

Gravimetry learning in analytical chemistry faces limitations in tools, the risk of using hazardous chemicals, and low student learning outcomes. This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of a project-based green chemistry-oriented virtual laboratory on gravimetry material. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with a 4D model followed by a quasi-experimental trial using a pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. The research subjects consisted of 34 students in the experimental class and 38 students in the control class. The results showed that the increase in learning outcomes was higher in the experimental class (N-Gain = 0.63; medium category) compared to the control class (N-Gain = 0.54; medium category). The t-test results showed a significant difference (t count = 2.868 > t table = 2.000; p < 0.05), so that the project-based green chemistry-oriented virtual laboratory was proven to be more effective than conventional learning. These findings indicate that the integration of virtual laboratories, green chemistry, and project-based learning is effective in improving student learning outcomes and has the potential to be a safe and sustainable alternative to practical learning.

Abstract

This study describes the types of meaning fields of oral activity lexemes found in the expression of the Sasak language in Sakra Village, East Lombok Regency, Meno-Meni dialect. The theory used in this study is the semantic theory that describes the form and components of meaning it contains. The population in this study is the language-using area in Sakra Village, Sakra District. Data collection used a random sampling technique (random sample selection) with informant selection criteria. The data collection method was carried out by the listening method with the tapping technique and the listening technique involving conversation and note-taking. The use of these methods was adjusted to the research field. In data analysis, a qualitative descriptive study was used that had intralingual and extralingual equivalent methods. The presentation of the results of data analysis in this study used formal and informal methods. Based on the results of data analysis, in the Sasak language of Sakra Village, East Lombok, Meno-Meni dialect used to express oral activity, namely the oral activity lexeme of the Sasak language of the Meno-Meni dialect of Sakra Village amounted to 27 lexemes. These lexemes are classified into oral activities based on their function, thus creating five subfields of meaning from four oral activities: the oral activity of eating, which has eight lexemes: delat, mangan, emet, anget, kritik pecak, nyak-nyak, and kaken; the oral activity of drinking, which has two lexemes: begeleg and serut; the oral activity of speaking, which has twelve lexemes: nyemperaq, bekoeh, peseq, becerite, bewaran, ngeraos, muni, tomes, rancik, bejelemetn, gerumun, and nyempate; the oral activity of smoking, which has one lexeme: ngudut; and the oral activity of vocalizing, which has two lexemes: meok and besuit.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility of bridal hair accessories made from corn husk waste through sensory evaluation and preference testing. Corn husk was selected as an alternative material due to its environmentally friendly nature, biodegradability, and abundant availability as agricultural waste. The research subjects consisted of three expert validators with backgrounds in beauty and fashion design, as well as fifteen students from the Beauty Education Study Program as prospective users. Data were collected using structured observation sheets covering indicators of aesthetics, neatness, comfort, and functional suitability. The data were analyzed using descriptive percentage techniques. The results of the sensory evaluation showed an average score of 94.44%, which falls into the “highly feasible” category. Meanwhile, the preference test yielded a score of 92.12%, categorized as “highly favorable.” The developed accessories were considered visually appealing, comfortable to wear, and suitable for enhancing bridal hairstyles. These findings indicate that hair accessories made from corn husk waste are not only feasible in terms of aesthetics and technical aspects but also have strong potential to be developed as environmentally friendly products within the sustainable beauty and fashion industry.

Abstract

Environmental literacy plays an important role in increasing students' awareness, knowledge, and behavior towards environmental conservation, while also influencing the learning outcomes of Natural Sciences (IPA). This study aims to determine the level of environmental literacy of eighth-grade students at SMPN 2 Cluring, Banyuwangi, based on indicators of ecological knowledge, environmental awareness, cognitive skills, and environmental behavior. This study uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The research sample consisted of 60 eighth-grade students selected through a convenience sampling technique. The research instrument was a Google Form-based digital questionnaire consisting of 20 questions covering four indicators of environmental literacy. The results of data analysis show that students' environmental literacy level is in the good category with an average percentage between 61% and 80%. The environmental awareness indicator reached the highest value of 81% with a very good category, while the cognitive skills indicator had the lowest value of 69% with a good category. These findings indicate that students have a fairly good understanding and sense of concern for the environment. However, improvements in critical thinking skills and cognitive skills are needed through direct experience-based learning so that environmental literacy can develop optimally.

Abstract

Classroom management is a fundamental aspect in creating a conducive learning environment, especially in mathematics learning in inclusive education. This study analyzes classroom management practices by 10th grade mathematics teachers at SMK Trunojoyo Jember, and their impact on learning engagement and effectiveness. The study used a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. Data collection was conducted through five days of observation, semi-structured interviews with teachers and students, and documentation studies. The results showed that the implementation of classroom management strategies such as U-shaped seating arrangements, humanistic communication, collaborative learning, and gamification-based positive reinforcement significantly increased student participation, from 25% to 75% of active groups. The implementation of peer support and individual learning adaptations also increased accessibility and engagement of students with special needs. Despite infrastructure limitations, teacher creativity and professionalism play an important role in maintaining learning effectiveness. This study concluded that adaptive, inclusive, and positive communication-based classroom management contributes to increased student motivation, participation, and mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of TikTok social media on the personal branding of makeup service students. With its interactive short video format, TikTok allows students to showcase their talents and reach a wider audience. This study explains how TikTok usage influences personal branding and offers practical advice for individuals, creators, and especially makeup service students. Google Form was used to conduct an online survey using a non-experimental quantitative methodology. There were 65 students from the class of 2022 in the Beauty Education Study Program, Semarang State University, who became the sample. In this study, the data results met the conditions indicated by the validity test, reliability, classical assumptions, simple linear regression, t-test, and determination test. The t-test results showed that the TikTok social media usage variable (X) had a t-value of 8.182 and a significance value of 0.000. Because this significance value is less than 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05), it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. These findings indicate that TikTok social media usage contributes to the development of personal branding and plays a role in supporting audience interaction and increasing public perceptions of trust. The platform also provides a relevant platform for student makeup artists to build visibility and document their portfolios digitally.
