Abstract

Dilaksanakannya penelitian ini didasarkan pada asumsi bahwa dengan terjadinya konflik sosial antar etnis di Kalimantan Tengah, khususnya di Kabupaten Kotawaringin Timur pada tahun 2001 banyak menimbulkan berbagai dampak sosial, budaya, ekonomi, dan politik bagi asyarakat. Diantaranya adalah semakin menguatnya solidaritas etnis (identitas etnis) yang justru bisa pendorong semakin rapuhnya hubungan interaksi sosial antar etnis. Keadaan demikian, apabila tidak dikelola dengan baik, pada akhirnya bisa menyulut suatu konflik sosial yang tidak kita kehendaki di masa yang akan datang. Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pengambilan data primer menggunakan teknik observasi dan wawancara mendalam. Di samping itu tim peneliti juga menelaah beberapa dokumen tertulis yang berkaitan dengan substansi penelitian. Tujuan penelitian adalah (1) untuk menemukenali berbagai faktor penyebab terjadinya konflik sosial antar etnis di Kabupaten Kotawaringin Timur pada tahun 2001, (2) Menemukenali berbagai dampak dari konflik sosial antar etnis tersebut terhadap pola interaksi sosial di Kota Sampit, (3) Merumuskan model pembinaan dan pengembangan masyarakat multikultur yang menghargai kebhinnekaan dan cinta damai. Sedangkan manfaat yang dapat diambil dari hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai bahan masukan bagi pemerintah di Kabupaten Kotawaringin Timur untuk (1) menyusun rencana strategis pembangunan, khususnya yang berhubungan dengan pembangunan sosial, budaya, ekonomi, dan politik, dan (2) menyusun suatu sistem pembinaan dan pengembangan masyarakat yang multikultur agar masyarakat bisa memahami, menerima,menghormati, dan menghargai keanekaragaman/kebhinnekaan dalam masyarakat. Pembinaan dan pengembangaan seperti inilah yang diharapkan dapat menjamin tatanan kehidupan masyarakat yang cinta damai, bertoleransi, dan menjungjung tinggi nilai-nilai kesatuan dan persatuan negara Republik Indonesia.

Abstract

The media plays a role in opinion, perceiving and orienting an issue to the majority or audience. Meanwhile, the forms of opinion, perception and orientation from the media become narratives that are formed in a constellation that “fights” each other. Narrative battles are formed as an effort to seize public space that can influence perceptions and interests, even policies at the state level. In this case, the food estate narrative in Central Kalimantan is understood as a constellation or narrative battle to seize the space of “power” and interest. The food estate program is in a battle of dictions between the interests of the government which is oriented towards modernization, development and progress, against the interests of civil society which is oriented towards the environment, local interests and indigenous peoples. The battle of these dictions is a battle of grand-narratives that forgets small and local narratives, namely female cultivators. Dayak cultivators themselves have long been narrated as a group that destroys forests, primitive communities and the unmodern people, so they are not at the forefront of discussing development issues. Meanwhile, the suffering of Dayak cultivators woman  disappears in the grand narrative or becomes a silent group or subaltern.

Abstract

This paper describes one of the local wisdoms of the lanting house fishing community in Lake Mare, in the form of environmentally friendly fishing gear, and tries to describe the problem of the lanting house wisdom left from the perspective of materialist social change. The research method uses descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques are observation and interviews. Data analysis using the Miles and Huberman model includes reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that there are several tools and methods of catching fish that are environmentally friendly, including: lunta, tambak, pasat, rengge, buwu, rempa and banjur. Meanwhile, local wisdom is now competing with fish catching tools that are technological (time efficiency and yield), but are not  environmentally friendly, this is one of the factors the lanting house is abandoned.

Abstract

This thesis is titled Conflict of Authority, Power and Interest Group of Oil Palm Plantation Companies (Study at PT. Musirawas Citraharpindo in Perspective of Conflict of IndustrialSociety RALF DAHRENDORF). The purpose of this thesis research is to examine and explain the system of authority, power and interest groups of PT. Musirawas Citraharpindo, as well as researching and explaining the authority and power in leadership can affect the emergence of internal conflict PT. Musirawas Citraharpindo. In this study, the approach used by researchers is qualitative approach by conducting direct observation in the field and conducting interviews to PT employees. Musirawas Citraharpindo, recorded the observations and results of interviews and documentation on the grounds that researchers wanted to dig up information, collect data, analyze data and conclude how corporate authority, power, and interest groups and how authority and leadership power affect the dynamics of internal conflicts of the company.Based on the results of research on authority, power and interest groups in PT. Musirawas Citraharpindo was awakened as a result of the dominant role and position of a person who was then used as a regulator and controller to every employee, especially small employees who worked on the plantation. In addition, the conflict in PT. Musirawas Citraharindo was awakened by labor dissatisfaction both individually and collectively that was not organized in fighting for interests and achieving a goal.

Abstract

The high need for using Internet-based on gadgets causes teenagers to spend most of their time accessing social media. At this time the TikTok application is one of the social media trends that is often accessed by all ages, including teenagers. This also happens to teenagers who are students of the Sociology department of FISIP UPR Batch of 2021. Researchers want to know the reasons why teenagers follow the trend to use the TikTok application. This research is descriptive quantitative research with student respondents as many as 64 people. Descriptive quantitative approach which aims to describe and explain can explain the data resulting from the questionnaire so as to obtain facts in the field. The data collection method used is data collection using observation and surveys. Data retrieval using a questionnaire distributed to students who download and access the TikTok application on their gadgets. Data analysis used thematic analysis. The conclusion of this study is that the use of the TikTok is for entertainment because TikTok can display various creator content videos that are considered interesting, charged with information according to their needs.
