Abstract

The quality of fresh water found in several areas varies greatly depending on the geographical conditions of the region, in mountainous areas most of it contains limestone, in lowland or coastal areas generally the total dissolved solids (TDS) exceeds 500 mg/l while according to Minister of Health Decree no. : 416 of 1990 the maximum limit for TDS in clean water is 500 mg/l so this can be a health problem for residents living in the surrounding area. The aim is to determine the relationship between the provision of clean water facilities and the incidence of diarrhea in the work area of the Health Center. This type of research is analytical observational research, namely to determine the factors related to the provision of clean water and the incidence of diarrhea in the Puskesmas Work Area. Based on the results of the analysis using the chi-square formula, it was found that the value of P = 0.000 < α = 0.05 so it can be concluded that there is a relationship between water quality conditions from a physical aspect and the incidence of diarrhea in the work area of the Health Center. The conclusion is that there is a relationship between the physical quality of water and the incidence of diarrhea in the work area of the Health Center.

Abstract

Self-care is the most fundamental and vital component of diabetes management. It necessitates patient participation in disease management activities such as nutrition, physical activity, medication adherence, and foot care procedures. However, developments in smartphone technology have created new options for diabetes self-management and diabetes education. The purpose of this study is to gain an overview of the mobile application concept that is expected among T2D patients in order to build application-based therapies based on the research site. This research method employs qualitative approaches in conjunction with a grounded theory approach. The approach employed is the sampling quota selection method. A Focus Group Discussion (FGD) was held with all qualified participants. A grounded theory technique was used to analyze the data. The findings of the study highlighted six themes: 1) Diet, 2) psychological activity, 3) medication alarms, 4) blood glucose monitoring, and 5) reduced worry (knowledge about health problems), 6) Consulting with health-care providers and asking questions. Self-care management can improve the quality of life of T2D patients. Diabetes patients in Indonesia are treated in a variety of ways; a link between patient experience, care, and health support is required.

Abstract

The occurrence of maternal deaths is related to direct causal factors and indirect causes. The direct causes of maternal death in Indonesia are still dominated by factors. by bleeding, eclampsia, and infection, while the indirect factors causing maternal death are because there are still many cases, 3 too late and 4 too late, which are related to access, socio-cultural, educational and economic factors. This research uses a combination method with a sequential explanatory design. The first uses quantitative methods, and the second uses qualitative methods. A quantitative approach is used to identify and explain variables that influence behavior such as knowledge, attitudes, facilities and encouragement of officers. A qualitative approach is used to support and complement quantitative research results. The chi-square test shows that there is a significant relationship between knowledge, facilities and encouragement of health workers on the behavior of pregnant women in pregnancy checks. P value = 0.001. If the significance value is <0.05, it is recognized that there is a statistically significant correlation. Meanwhile, attitudes show no statistical correlation. The logistic regression test shows that there is an influence between knowledge and facilities on the behavior of pregnant women. There are two substantial findings, namely regarding knowledge about antenatal care and the availability of facilities which influence the behavior of pregnant women in antenatal care.

Abstract

Attention to the Family Planning (KB) program received priority during the New Order era. The family planning program had even become a government program at the beginning of that period. Before becoming a government program, Family Planning had begun to be socialized by several individuals or private institutions who had an interest in the program. The aim of this research is to find out information sources that provide family planning information to the public, differences in perceptions according to information sources, differences in participation according to perception, differences in participation according to sources of information, and to find out 5 differences in participation according to perception which are controlled by level of education, number of children they have and desire to have another child. The method used in this research is census. Data analysis was carried out using the chi-square statistical test using the SPSS program version 17.0. The research results showed that the majority of respondents obtained family planning information through television (58.2%), and there was an influence of information on perceptions and participation in family planning. This is proven by the differences in perception according to exposure to information, participation according to perception and participation according to exposure to information convincingly with a confidence level of 95%. In the control variables, there are significant differences in participation according to education level and number of children (95%), while there is no significant difference in participation according to the desire to have more children. Information determines participation in family planning practices, but does not determine the desire to have more children. This is due to different perceptions of the value of children, so the desire to have more children does not influence participation in family planning practices.

Material and Methods: This research is a review of the existing literature. The topic, articles from 2018 to 2023, were chosen from various online databases, including Science Direct, PubMed, and Google Scholar. The PRISMA approach was utilized by analyzing the literature review. Results: After sifting through 315 publications, only 16 studies were deemed suitable for analysis. The conclusion drawn from these studies is that PMT significantly decreases the prevalence of insomnia in the elderly.
