The recognition of sovereignty to a country by another country is one of the conditions for the establishment of a country, including the Republic of Indonesia which has just proclaimed independence on August 17, 1945. One of the countries that supported and recognized the existence of Indonesia at that time was Australia. Australia at that time supported Indonesian Independence through a union strike against Dutch ships in Australian ports that wanted to sail back to Indonesia in order to reclaim their colony. This strike action is known as Black Armada and is documented through the documentary film Indonesia Calling. The purpose of this research is to understand the memory contained in the documentary film Indonesia Calling and its correlation with the Black Armada event. The research uses historical methods with a qualitative approach. The Black Armada incident occurred for four years (1945-1949) which was marked by a strike by Indonesian ship workers. In subsequent developments, the strike spread across Australia and was followed by ship workers union and Australian citizen, particularly in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Fremantle. This action was documented through the film Indonesia Calling by Joris Ivens, which was then disseminated to the international world so that other countries provided support for Indonesian independence as a condition for the establishment of a country.

This study aimed to describe the implementation of Javanese language learning activities and determine the improvement of learning achievement in writing advertisement/advertisement texts with the Wordwall media-assisted game method. The primary problem for students is the limited Javanese vocabulary, which causes low learning achievement. The research method used in this study is classroom action research (CAR), which details two cycles. Techniques for collecting data include observation, assessment, and documentation techniques. The study's results showed a significant increase in students' writing skills. In cycle one, around 38.24% of students achieved a score of ≥ 75; in the second cycle, it increased to 70.59%. Wordwall learning media has proven effective, reducing the incomplete percentage from 61.76% in cycle one to 29.41% in the second cycle. This study concluded that the Wordwall media-assisted game method could be an alternative in dealing with problems in Javanese language subjects, significantly improving writing skills in advertisement/advertisement texts. This research also contributes to developing innovative Javanese language learning methods to improve writing skills by integrating Wordwall to address learners' interests and Javanese vocabulary limitations.

The "Dewan Media Sosial" (DMS) is a groundbreaking initiative designed to mediate disputes in the digital realm, particularly on social media in Indonesia. This paper critically assesses the DMS's potential to effectively carry out its responsibilities. It examines the DMS's strengths, including its specialized focus on digital conflicts, accessibility, technological integration, and potential to gain public trust and credibility. However, it also identifies significant challenges, such as the need for a solid regulatory and legal framework, ensuring impartiality and fairness, scalability, and protecting privacy and security. The paper concludes that although the DMS shows promise as a transformative entity for digital dispute resolution, its success depends on addressing these key challenges. Recommendations include fostering stakeholder collaboration, continuous monitoring and adaptation, and enhancing public awareness and education. The analysis emphasizes that if these issues are effectively managed, the DMS has the potential to create a more harmonious and accountable online environment. This study aims to compare the representation of life during the colonial and modern eras in literary works through a sociology of literature approach, focusing on the legend of "Puyang Perahu Kawah" and the short story "Dua Wajah Ibu." The legend of "Puyang Perahu Kawah," set during the Dutch colonial era, depicts the struggle of indigenous people against colonial oppression and their social and cultural values. In contrast, the short story "Dua Wajah Ibu" which depicts life in the city of Jakarta, highlights the challenges faced by rural migrants in adjusting to the urban environment. The research method used is qualitative descriptive, with reading and note-taking techniques to collect data from literary texts and related secondary sources. The results show that "Puyang Perahu Kawah" reflects social conflict and colonial oppression, while "Dua Wajah Ibu" reveals the social inequality and alienation experienced by migrants in big cities.

The present research aims to identify the translation techniques, methods, and ideologies used in translating Javanese-English for the lyrics of the song Kartonyono Medot Janji, performed by Denny Caknan. The song was re-sung in English by Hernanda Yona under the title Kartonyono Ruins Faith. The research method employed is descriptive qualitative with a translation-as-product approach. Data was collected by listening to both versions of the song in Javanese and English and then transcribed into written form. Data analysis includes data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that in translating the lyrics of Kartonyono Medot Janji, the translator applied nine translation techniques: variation, established equivalence, modulation, borrowing, discursive creation, transposition, amplification, adaptation, and compensation. Based on the translation techniques used, it is evident that the translator’s method and ideology for translating the song lyrics are oriented towards the target language with a domestication ideology. The present research enhances the understanding of how translation techniques, methods, and ideology are applied to adapt song lyrics. It provides insights into how these approaches impact the translation process from Javanese to English. The present research offers a comparative linguistic analysis between Javanese and English, particularly regarding how meaning and language structure interact in translation.
