Abstract

Radicalism is a term used among academics to refer to an ideology that contradicts the Indonesian national ideology, Pancasila. There are many factors behind the emergence of radicalism in Indonesia, and almost all of them stem from the inability of certain groups to accept differences within their surrounding environment. In terms of religion, radical groups can be identified by their perspective in interpreting religious teachings. This article aims to describe the prevention of radicalism in non-formal education through the role of *Rijalul Ansor*, a sub-organization of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU). The method employed is descriptive qualitative, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research findings indicate that the function of non-formal education in countering radicalism includes: 1) Instilling Pancasila values through selapanan (monthly study sessions). 2) Promoting nationalism through tawasul (prayers of intercession) to national heroes. 3) Providing an understanding of peaceful and tolerant religion through the study of Risalah Aswaja by KH Hasyim Asy’ari. 4) Constructing Qur’anic perspectives on religious moderation. The implementation of these efforts is carried out through the study of Risalah Aswaja and Mujahadah Dzikrul Ghafilin held every Senin Pon (a Javanese calendar day).

Abstract

This research is motivated by the high value placed on discipline at SDI NU Pare, where every day, all members of the school community, including students, teachers, and staff, are taught, educated, and reminded about good and proper discipline in all aspects. Discipline is an attitude of adhering to orderliness through training, supervision, and habituation. Furthermore, innovation in student management, with the establishment of the Student Discipline Enforcement Team (TPDS), adds value to SDI NU Pare regarding student discipline, which must be shaped and instilled from the foundational level. The purpose of this research is to gain a deeper understanding of: 1) Student Management at SDI NU Pare, 2) Student Discipline Management at SDI NU Pare, and 3) The Student Discipline Enforcement Team as a Strategy in Student Management to manage student discipline. This research uses a qualitative case study approach to further explore student management and discipline management at SDI NU Pare. The findings of this study indicate that: 1) Student Management at SDI NU Pare is planned according to government policies and the foundation's guidelines, 2) Student discipline is highly valued and managed well and systematically, with effective and efficient planning, 3) The Student Discipline Enforcement Team serves as a relevant and effective strategy for managing student discipline, and in practice, it helps student management in disciplining undisciplined students and creating a conducive environment during teachers' meetings.

Abstract

This study examines the internalization of character values in the activities of the Women’s Organization “WIsSNU” at the International Standard Madrasah (MBI) Amanatul Ummah. The research focuses on: (1) identifying the programs and events organized by WIsSNU, and (2) analyzing how character values are internalized through these activities. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings show that WIsSNU implements two categories of organizational programs: major events and minor events. Major events include PAKARSAMBI, Ponpesnu, and the MBF (MBI Big Fair). Minor events consist of Islamic Holiday Celebrations (HBI), such as the Prophet’s Birthday, Isra’ Mi’raj, and Nuzulul Qur’an (Ramadhan), as well as National Commemoration Days (HKN), such as the National Awakening Day. These activities serve not only as organizational traditions but also as media for character education. Character values identified by the Ministry of National Education are mostly reflected in these programs. Out of 18 values, 16 were found to be well-internalized, including religiosity, honesty, tolerance, discipline, hard work, creativity, democracy, curiosity, national spirit, love of the motherland, appreciation of achievement, communication skills, peace, social care, responsibility, and environmental awareness. Two values—independence and interest in reading—were not yet fully integrated. In conclusion, WIsSNU organizational programs significantly contribute to character education by embedding most of the core values through both major and minor events.

Abstract

Competency development for teachers is a necessary task that every teacher should undertake. Teacher competency development is intended to enhance teachers' skills and support the smooth execution of tasks. MIN 1 Mojokerto can continue to a higher level of education, whether it is above the current level or the next, whether public or private. These skills are not spared by the teacher competency development training activities that have been provided to teachers, which then have a positive impact on the learning provided to students, resulting in increased learning outcomes. Based on the explanation above, the researcher developed the research title "Training Activity Program in Teacher Competency Development, Min 1 Mojokerto." With a research focus on the training in MIN 1 Mojokerto and how the training results are implemented. 1) What is the competence of the teachers at MIN 1 Mojokerto? 2) What is the program process for training activities at MIN 1 Mojokerto? Abstract

This study examines the challenges of developing Natural Language Processing (NLP) models for non-standard and low-resource Indonesian dialects, with a focus on code-mixing, slang, and regional variations commonly encountered in digital communication. Using a synthetic dataset (NusaDialect benchmark) for sentiment analysis and Named Entity Recognition (NER), we examined the performance of widely used models, including mBERT, IndoBERT, XLM-RoBERTa, and GPT-4. Quantitative results reveal a significant performance gap when models trained on standard Indonesian are applied to dialectal input, with IndoBERT outperforming mBERT but being surpassed by XLM-RoBERTa. In contrast, GPT-4 demonstrates strong resilience in zero-shot settings. Qualitative error analysis further reveals systematic weaknesses related to out-of-vocabulary slang, code-switching ambiguity, morphological complexity, and pragmatic or culturally embedded expressions. To address these limitations, two mitigation strategies were tested: continued pretraining on social media data and data augmentation with back-translation. Findings indicate that while continued pretraining yields the most significant performance gains, augmentation offers a more balanced trade-off by improving dialectal robustness without degrading performance on formal Indonesian. The study concludes that overcoming these linguistic challenges requires not only technical solutions but also culturally informed approaches. Practical implications extend to AI applications in customer service, social media analysis, and digital governance, where inclusivity and accessibility for diverse language users are essential.

Abstract

The recitation method is very important to use in the teaching and learning process, especially in the Al-Qur'an Hadith subject. The use of the recitation method in learning Al-Qur'an Hadith as a reinforcement in understanding the material and students can deepen understanding and increase activity. By using the recitation method, students can stand alone without the help of others. This research aims to explain how teachers apply Al-Qur'an Hadith learning using the recitation method. Explain how students practice the recitation method in learning Al-Qur'an Hadith. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. This research was conducted at MTs Nurul Huda Suci Sugio. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, documentation. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman method. The results of the first research show that teachers apply the recitation method in learning Al-Qur'an Hadith by giving directions to students and seeing the extent of their ability to read Hadith about studying. The recitation method has proven to be effective because students can better understand and appreciate the tasks given, and show satisfactory learning results. Both recitation methods are effective in learning because students can deepen and appreciate the material that has been given. This assignment method creates a clear teaching and learning interaction format, where assignment completion can be done individually or in groups according to the instructions given by the teacher.
