Abstract

Pendidikan multikultural memainkan peran krusial dalam membangun toleransi antarbudaya, terutama di negara seperti Indonesia yang memiliki keragaman budaya yang sangat kaya. Dalam konteks sekolah, pendidikan multikultural bertujuan untuk menciptakan lingkungan yang inklusif, di mana siswa dapat belajar untuk menghargai dan menerima perbedaan. Di era globalisasi ini, interaksi antarbudaya semakin tidak terhindarkan, sehingga penting bagi sistem pendidikan untuk mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai saling menghormati dalam kurikulum dan kegiatan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji transformasi pendidikan multikultural dalam meningkatkan toleransi antarbudaya di sekolah. Fokus utama dalam penelitian ini adalah peran guru, siswa, dan kurikulum dalam mendukung terciptanya atmosfer yang mendukung keberagaman. Berbagai studi menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan multikultural tidak hanya bermanfaat dalam membentuk karakter siswa, tetapi juga berpengaruh positif terhadap keberhasilan akademik mereka. Meski demikian, implementasi pendidikan multikultural di sekolah menghadapi berbagai tantangan, seperti kurangnya pemahaman tentang konsep multikulturalisme di kalangan pendidik dan terbatasnya sumber daya untuk pelatihan yang memadai. Oleh karena itu, transformasi pendidikan multikultural memerlukan kerjasama antara pemerintah, sekolah, dan masyarakat untuk menciptakan lingkungan yang dapat memfasilitasi pemahaman dan pengembangan toleransi antarbudaya. Dengan pendekatan yang sistematis dan partisipatif, diharapkan pendidikan multikultural dapat membentuk generasi yang lebih empatik dan siap menghadapi tantangan dunia yang semakin global dan beragam.

Abstract

The focus of research in this thesis is Understanding the Eucharist in Students and Students of Grades V and VI at St. Antonius Wailan Catholic Elementary School. The focus is described in the formulation of the problem, namely: (a) How do students and students of Grades V and VI at St. Antonius Wailan Catholic Elementary School understand the Eucharist? (b) What are the factors that support and inhibit the students of Grades V and VI at St. Antonius Wailan Catholic Elementary School to understand the Eucharist? (c) What efforts can be made to make students in Grades V and VI at Wailan Catholic Elementary understand the Eucharist? The type of research used in the preparation of this thesis is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are carried out in three ways, namely: Observation, Interviews and Documentation Studies. In this study, the perpetrators and informants of the research were selected by the author using a purposive procedure, namely the determination of informants by selecting key persons who are in accordance with the criteria and problems of the research. The conclusion of this study consists of three parts. First: Students and students of Grades V and VI at St. Antonius Wailan Catholic Elementary School have understood quite well about the Eucharist as the source and peak of the faith of the people, because students and students of Grades V and VI understand that the Eucharist is a real supper of God and brings the grace of salvation and has a very important role in the life of the faithful. Second: The main supporting factor for students in grades V and VI at St. Anthony Wailan Catholic Elementary School in understanding the Eucharist is their involvement in liturgical duties in the church, the role of parents and teachers to support them in carrying out that task and their craft in following the Eucharist every week. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors for students and students in grades V and VI at St. Antonius Wailan Catholic Elementary School in understanding the Eucharist are not focused on participating in the Eucharistic Celebration and lack of self-involvement in church tasks and lack of understanding of learning about the Eucharist at school because the language used is difficult to understand. Third: Efforts that can be made by students and students of Grades V and VI at Wailan Catholic Elementary School to understand the Eucharist, namely building their own intentions to be diligent in participating in the Eucharist and actively involved in it, participating in collection activities, catechesis or other faith development activities with the theme of the Eucharist and the role of parents to set an example, namely being faithful in Eucharistic activities.

Abstract

This study examines the synergy between family and school at St. Ignatius Catholic High School in Manado, focusing on parental participation in supporting children's educational success. A qualitative approach is used to understand the dynamics of interaction between parents and the school in both academic and character development aspects of students. The findings reveal that this synergy is created through open communication between teachers and parents, as well as the active involvement of parents in various school activities, such as family mass and non-academic events. Factors such as parents' awareness of the importance of their role, their busy schedules, and economic conditions influence their participation. The established synergy positively impacts not only students' academic achievements but also their character development. The presence of supportive parents at home and schools that provide the right facilitation helps students feel more confident and motivated. This study emphasizes that collaboration between family and school is essential for the educational success of students.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how student discipline and the learning environment at Sta. Catholic Middle School. Theresia Tanawangko, as well as to determine whether or not there is an influence between student discipline and the learning environment on PAK-BP cognitive learning outcomes at Sta Catholic Middle School. Theresia Tanawangko. The research method used is a quantitative research method which aims to find out whether there is a large influence between the independent variable X1 on the dependent variable Y, whether there is a large influence between the variable large and significant to Y. The sample for this study consisted of 75 respondents obtained by calculating the Slovin formula. Validity and reliability tests were carried out using IBM SPSS 16 for windows and all questionnaire items and tests distributed were declared valid and reliable. The results of this study show that there is a significant influence between student discipline variables on the PAK-BP cognitive learning outcome variables by 31.8%, learning environment variables on PAK-BP cognitive learning outcome variables by 24.3%, and student discipline and environment variables. learning together on the PAK-BP cognitive learning outcome variable was 36% with a significance value of 0.000. This shows that there is an influence of student discipline and the learning environment on PAK-BP cognitive learning outcomes at Sta. Catholic Middle School. Theresia Tanawangko.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the influence of principal leadership on teacher performance at Rex Mundi Catholic High School Manado, and to determine whether or not there is an influence between principal leadership on teacher performance at Rex Mundi Catholic High School Manado. The research method used is a quantitative research method that aims to determine whether there is an influence or relationship between variable x and variable y, or vice versa. The research sample consisted of 40 respondents, obtained using saturated samples. Validity and reliability tests were carried out using IBM SPSS 25 for windows and all questionnaire items distributed were declared valid and reliable. The results of this study indicate that there is an influence between variable x and variable y with a correlation coefficient of determination of 0.415 with a percentage of 41.5%. This shows that there is an influence between the independent variable and the dependent variable with a contribution of 41.5% and the remaining 58.5% is influenced by other factors

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of parents in the formation of children's politeness norms, factors that support and inhibit the role of parents in the formation of children's politeness norms, and efforts made by parents in the formation of children's politeness norms at Santa Perawan Maria Ratu Kamangta Station. This study uses a qualitative approach to obtain more in-depth data on the role of parents in the formation of children's politeness norms at Santa Perawan Maria Ratu Kamangta Station. The results of the study indicate that the Role of Parents in the Formation of Children's Politeness Norms at Santa Perawan Maria Ratu Kamangta Station is carried out by supervising every behavior shown by children and teaching children to be individuals who are always grateful for the help of others. There are also factors that support the role of parents in the formation of children's politeness norms, namely the child's attitude of being open to advice given by parents and good communication between children and parents. The inhibiting factors are the negative influence of the surrounding environment and the lack of time for parents to supervise children's activities. For this reason, efforts that parents must make in the formation of children's politeness norms are educating children to be individuals who can accept direction and reprimands from others, fostering politeness in children, and limiting children from being involved in relationships that have a bad influence.

Abstract

This study aims to: describe (1) item analysis competency and (2) professionalism of Catholic high school/vocational high school teachers in Manado City; (3) determine how big the correlation/relationship is between item analysis competency and the professionalism of Catholic high school/vocational high school teachers in Manado City; (4) describe efforts to improve item analysis competency as part of the professionalism of Catholic high school/vocational high school teachers in Manado City. The method used is a mix method. Obtaining descriptive data related to research objectives (1), (2) and (4) used qualitative methods; continued with the application of quantitative methods to obtain data related to research objectives (3). The data sources in this study were the principals and teachers of Catholic high schools/vocational high schools in Manado City totaling 121 people with 93 samples. The data collection technique for the qualitative method used interview techniques as well as observation and documentation; determining the source of interview data used purposive sampling. The results of the qualitative study of item analysis competency showed that some teachers knew and were able to make item analysis, but there were also those who did not understand and did not apply it. Quantitative results on how big the correlation of item analysis competency with teacher professionalism with a sample of 93 people from 121 populations showed significant results below 0.05, so it is included in the very good category. The percentage of variable X (item analysis competency) is 85% and variable Y (teacher professionalism) is 82%. The influence of X on Y is: 0.432; this result can be interpreted that the correlation of item analysis competency with teacher professionalism is in the moderate relationship category. This means that there are still other factors whose relationship category with Y is lower or higher, but these factors were not examined in this study.
