Abstract

This study was conducted to explain the effect of changes in tax rates, tax knowledge, and tax sanctions on tax compliance of MSMEs. The population in this study were MSMEs in the culinary sector in Sleman Regency. The sampling technique was Simple Random Sampling with the calculation of the number of samples using the Slovin method. The total sample in this study was 99 MSMEs. The results of this study indicate that tax knowledge and tax sanctions have an effect on MSME tax compliance. While tax rates do not affect MSME tax compliance.

Abstract

Indonesia as a country with the largest Muslim population in the world, has great potential in the halal industry. The term "halal" refers to products and services that comply with Islamic teachings and are free from haram substances. The purpose of this study is to analyze the opportunities, challenges and strategies for the halal industry in Indonesia. The research methodology used is descriptive qualitative research. This research is a library research that uses secondary data obtained through scientific articles and other relevant documents. With the world's largest Muslim population, Indonesia should be the leading halal industry developer. However, according to the Indonesian Global Islamic Indicator 2020/2021, in fact, Indonesia is still the largest buyer of halal food in the world today. However, Brazil is the largest exporter of halal food. Given that the majority of Indonesia's population is Muslim, there is significant potential in the domestic market for halal goods. The Indonesian government has committed to encourage the growth of the halal industry. This is covered in various laws and regulations that have been made to ensure that halal products meet the national standards set by the halal authorities. ABSTRAK Indonesia sebagai negara dengan populasi Muslim terbesar di dunia, mempunyai potensi besar dalam industri halal. Yang dimaksud dengan “halal” adalah produk dan jasa yang sesuai dengan ajaran Islam dan bebas dari bahan haram. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis peluang, tantangan dan strategi industri halal di Indonesia. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kepustakaan yang menggunakan data sekunder yang diperoleh melalui artikel ilmiah dan dokumen lain yang relevan. Dengan populasi Muslim terbesar di dunia, Indonesia seharusnya menjadi pengembang industri halal terkemuka. Namun menurut Indikator Islam Global Indonesia 2020/2021, nyatanya Indonesia masih menjadi pembeli makanan halal terbesar di dunia saat ini. Namun Brasil adalah eksportir makanan halal terbesar. Mengingat mayoritas penduduk Indonesia adalah Muslim, terdapat potensi besar di pasar domestik untuk barang-barang halal. Pemerintah Indonesia telah berkomitmen untuk mendorong pertumbuhan industri halal. Hal ini tercakup dalam berbagai peraturan perundang-undangan yang dibuat untuk memastikan produk halal memenuhi standar nasional yang ditetapkan oleh otoritas halal.

Abstract

This research aims to determine and comprehen about zakat and waqf role in the economic development of the Muslims (Ummah) in Islamic economic perspective. Research types is library research. Research approach using combination of a philosophical and phenomenological approach. A philosophical approach is used to look deeply at philosophical material objects such as values, principles, Islamic economic goals and zakat and wakaf role in Muslims (ummah) economic development. While the phenomenological approach is used to look at the economic development that is reflected in society through statistical data about poverty, as well as those contained in a literature work such as books, documents, scientific works and research. Study result: Islamic economic system aims is to improve society welfare and to realize maqasid as sharia, and uphold justice value, therefore the important base of zakat and waqf distribution is Allah guidance in Qur’an Surah (chapter) [59]: 7  " so that the wealth should not circulate among the rich people among you... "from these foundation spawned a great concept of zakat and waqf role in economic development. Zakat and waqf are economic development instruments. Empowerment and management of coordinatively between government and society make a positive contribution in Muslims economic development.   ABSTRAK   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali peran zakat dan wakaf dalam pembangunan ekonomi umat perspektif ekonomi Islam. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kepustakaan (Library Research}, dengan pendekatan kombinasi dari pendekatan filosofis dan fenomenologis. Pendekatan filosofis digunakan untuk melihat secara mendalam objek material filsafat seperti nilai, prinsip, tujuan ekonomi Islam juga peran zakat dan wakat dalam pembangunan ekonomi umat. Sedangka pendekatan fenomenologis dipakai untuk melihat pembangunan ekonomi yang tergambar di masyarakat melalui data-data kemiskin yang ada, hal-hal yang tertuang dalam karya ilmiyah, dekumen, dan hasil-hasil penelitian. Hasil yang didapatkan dari penelitian ini bahwa tujuan sistem ekonomi Islam adalah untuk menyejahterakan masyarakat, mewujudkan maqasid as syariah, menjunjung tinggi nilai keadilan, sehingga pada level distribusi zakat dan wakaf, harus berpedoman pada petunjuk Allah dalam Qs.[59]: 7         ” agar harta itu jangan hanya beredar di antara orang-orang kaya saja diantara kamu ..” Dari acuan tersebut melahirkan sebuah konsep bahwa peran zakat dan wakaf dalam pembangunan ekonomi umat sangat besar. Zakat dan wakaf merupakan salah satu instrumen pembangunan ekonomi. Pengelolaan serta pemberdayaan zakat dan wakaf dengan baik oleh pemerintah bersama masyarakat secara koordinatif, berkontribusi positif dalam pembangunan ekonomi umat

Abstract

The Islamic economy, as a vital pillar of Indonesia's economic landscape, continues to grow alongside increasing consumer awareness of halal products. Product innovation and the development of halal certification labels are strategic keys to enhancing the competitiveness of Islamic economy products in both domestic and global markets. This article discusses how halal product innovation, integrating technology and quality standards, along with strengthening halal certification and labeling, can expand market share, boost consumer trust, and drive sustainable growth in the Islamic economy. The study employs a literature review of various research and reports. The findings indicate that halal product innovation combined with the development of halal labels plays a significant role in improving business competitiveness, expanding market access, and supporting sustainable growth of the Islamic economy.   ABSTRAK Ekonomi syariah sebagai salah satu pilar penting dalam perekonomian Indonesia terus berkembang seiring dengan meningkatnya kesadaran konsumen terhadap produk halal. Inovasi produk dan pengembangan label halal menjadi kunci strategis dalam meningkatkan daya saing produk syariah di pasar domestik maupun global. Artikel ini membahas bagaimana inovasi produk halal yang mengintegrasikan teknologi dan standar kualitas serta penguatan sertifikasi dan label halal dapat memperluas pangsa pasar, meningkatkan kepercayaan konsumen, dan mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi syariah. Metode kajian menggunakan telaah literatur dari berbagai penelitian dan laporan terkait. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa inovasi produk halal yang disertai pengembangan label halal berperan signifikan dalam meningkatkan daya saing usaha, memperluas akses pasar, dan mendukung pertumbuhan ekonomi syariah secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Financing is a critical factor affecting the growth and success of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). In the banking sector, financing small and medium enterprises plays an important role in enhancing the economic competitiveness of a country. However, SMEs often experience difficulties in accessing financing from financial institutions, resulting in bottlenecks in their development. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the financing of small and medium enterprises in the banking sector. The factors can be divided into two categories, namely internal factors and external factors. Internal factors include the quality and performance of SMEs, such as profit, growth, stability, and capitalization. In addition, the characteristics of SME owners, such as experience, education, and ownership of equity capital, also affect access to financing from the banking sector. On the other hand, external factors, such as banking regulations, market conditions, and government policies, also affect the financing of small and medium enterprises in the banking sector.This study uses a secondary data analysis method. Data was obtained from banking institutions and related financial institutions, as well as government statistical data. Regression analysis was used to examine the relationship between the factors affecting the financing of small and medium enterprises in the banking sector.The results showed that internal and external factors have a significant influence on the financing of small and medium enterprises in the banking sector.

Abstract

ABSTRACT   In today's digital era, Islamic businesses face unique challenges and opportunities. This study aims to investigate the transformation of Islamic business in the context of digitalization. The research method used is a literature study. The findings show that digitalization has changed the Islamic business landscape with the existence of e-commerce, fintech, and technology-based financial services platforms. However, this transformation also raises various challenges, such as data security, sharia compliance, and changes in consumer behavior. To face this challenge, Islamic businesses need to develop innovative strategies based on sharia principles and technology. By harnessing the potential of digitalization wisely, Islamic businesses can improve operational efficiency, expand markets, and provide added value to both Muslim and non-Muslim communities. This research provides insight into the role of technology in Islamic business transformation and identifies potential future research directions   ABSTRAK   Dalam era digital saat ini, bisnis syariah menghadapi tantangan dan peluang yang unik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki transformasi bisnis syariah dalam konteks digitalisasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa digitalisasi telah mengubah lanskap bisnis syariah dengan adanya platform e-commerce, fintech, dan layanan keuangan berbasis teknologi. Namun, transformasi ini juga memunculkan berbagai tantangan, seperti keamanan data, kepatuhan syariah, dan perubahan perilaku konsumen. Untuk menghadapi tantangan ini, pelaku bisnis syariah perlu mengembangkan strategi inovatif yang berbasis pada prinsip syariah dan teknologi. Dengan memanfaatkan potensi digitalisasi secara bijak, bisnis syariah dapat meningkatkan efisiensi operasional, memperluas pasar, dan memberikan nilai tambah bagi masyarakat Muslim dan non-Muslim. Abstract

This article discusses the role of Islamic banking in realizing social justice and welfare in Indonesia. Using a qualitative-descriptive approach and literature study, this research examines how sharia principles are applied in the banking system and how they impact society. The results show that Islamic banking, through profit-sharing mechanisms, zakat, qardhul hasan, and productive sector financing, has great potential in creating a fair and inclusive financial system. However, challenges such as limited Islamic financial literacy and profit orientation are still an obstacle. ABSTRAK Artikel ini membahas peran perbankan syariah dalam mewujudkan keadilan dan kesejahteraan sosial di Indonesia. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif dan studi pustaka, penelitian ini mengkaji bagaimana prinsip-prinsip syariah diterapkan dalam sistem perbankan dan bagaimana dampaknya terhadap masyarakat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perbankan syariah, melalui mekanisme bagi hasil, zakat, qardhul hasan, dan pembiayaan sektor produktif, memiliki potensi besar dalam menciptakan sistem keuangan yang adil dan inklusif. Namun, tantangan seperti keterbatasan literasi keuangan syariah dan orientasi profit masih menjadi hambatan.

  With the entry of the digital age, the labor market is undergoing significant changes. analyzes the dynamics of the labor market in the digital age and how it impacts the unemployment rate and productivity of the economy. The research found significant changes in the demand for a more skilled workforce in industries affected by digital technologies using empirical data and appropriate conceptual frameworksCompanies that can effectively and efficiently leverage technology can develop new business models, create new jobs, and expand market segmentation. Workers can also leverage technology to increase productivity, increase creativity, and secure job opportunities around the world. However, the fact that AI and automatization can replace human jobs in some industries, threatens unemployment   ABSTRAK Dengan masuknya era digital, pasar tenaga kerja mengalami perubahan yang signifikan.. menganalisis dinamika pasar tenaga kerja di era digital dan bagaimana hal itu berdampak pada tingkat pengangguran dan produktivitas ekonomi. Penelitian ini menemukan perubahan signifikan dalam permintaan tenaga kerja yang lebih terampil dalam industri-industri yang terpengaruh oleh teknologi digital dengan menggunakan data empiris dan kerangka konseptual yang tepatPerusahaan yang dapat dengan efektif dan efisien memanfaatkan teknologi dapat mengembangkan model bisnis baru, menciptakan lapangan kerja baru, dan memperluas segmentasi pasar. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the consumption patterns of urban Muslim communities based on the principles of Islamic economics. In Islam, consumption is not merely about fulfilling material needs but must also comply with Sharia values emphasizing halal (permissible), moderation, justice, and social responsibility. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, collecting data through literature review and in-depth interviews with urban Muslim respondents. The analysis reveals that consumption patterns among urban Muslims are influenced by levels of religiosity, awareness of halal and thayyib (wholesome) principles, as well as the impact of urban lifestyle and digitalization. Although awareness of Islamic consumption principles is increasing, challenges such as excessive consumption and consumerism persist. Therefore, education and reinforcement of Islamic economic values are essential to foster moderate, equitable, and sustainable consumption patterns. This study contributes to a better understanding of the dynamics of Muslim urban consumption and the development of Sharia-based economics in the modern era. ABSTRAK   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pola konsumsi masyarakat Muslim urban dengan mengacu pada prinsip-prinsip ekonomi Islam. Dalam Islam, konsumsi tidak hanya sekadar memenuhi kebutuhan materi, tetapi juga harus sesuai dengan nilai-nilai syariah yang menekankan kehalalan, kesederhanaan, keadilan, dan tanggung jawab sosial. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data melalui studi literatur dan wawancara mendalam terhadap masyarakat Muslim urban. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pola konsumsi masyarakat Muslim urban dipengaruhi oleh tingkat religiusitas, kesadaran akan prinsip halal dan thayyib, serta pengaruh gaya hidup perkotaan dan digitalisasi. Meskipun kesadaran terhadap konsumsi Islami meningkat, tantangan seperti konsumsi berlebihan dan gaya hidup konsumtif masih muncul. Oleh karena itu, edukasi dan penguatan nilai-nilai ekonomi Islam sangat diperlukan untuk membentuk pola konsumsi yang moderat, berkeadilan, dan berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam memahami dinamika konsumsi Muslim urban dan pengembangan ekonomi syariah di era modern.

Abstract

  In the past, the use of the bank itself was still in the form of a place to store money or valuable assets and a lending institution. Meanwhile, in conducting a transaction activity, it still has to be an offline transaction, where the buyer and seller must meet at one point. But now, people have been facilitated by technology such as mobile banking, ATMs and digital wallets. Which makes people able to make various transactions online. But in addition to the convenience obtained, there is also a dark side where people are vulnerable to cyber crime in their use. Therefore, from this research, it is studied how safe online transactions are today, so that people can feel comfortable and safe in carrying out online   Pada zaman dahulu, penggunaan dari bank sendiri masih berupa tempat menyimpan uang atau harta benda berharga serta instansi peminjaman dana. Sementara dalam mengadakan sebuah kegiatan transaksi masih harus berbentuk transaksi luring, antara pembeli dan penjual harus bertemu di satu titik tempat. Namun sekarang, masyarakat telah dimudahkan dengan adanya teknologi seperti mobile banking, ATM dan dompet digital. Yang mana membuat masyarakat dapat melakukan berbagai transaksi secara online. Namun selain kemudahan yang didapat, ada juga sisi gelap dimana masyarakat rentan terkena kejahatan siber dalam penggunaannya. Oleh itu, dari penelitian ini, dikajilah seberapa aman transkasi online sekarang ini, agar masyarakat bisa merasa nyaman dan aman dalam melakukan kegiatan bertransaksi secara daring.
