Abstract

The phenomenon of unilateral halal claims (self-claiming halal) by food content creators on social media has sparked epistemic polemics and a crisis of trust among Generation Z Muslim consumers. This study aims to analyze the impact of the rise of these self-assumption-based halal claims on the perception of the legitimacy of non-certified culinary products and the crisis of trust experienced by Generation Z consumers. This study uses a qualitative approach with phenomenological methods and digital content analysis. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with twenty Generation Z Muslim consumer informants and systematic observations on several major social media platforms. The results show that unilateral claims from content creators have created information ambiguity and degraded consumers' halal literacy. Generation Z is experiencing a profound crisis of trust due to the contradiction between the visual narratives presented by content creators and formal regulations from official halal product assurance authorities. These findings indicate a behavioral shift in which Generation Z consumers have adopted a high level of digital skepticism and demand transparency of official certification in every food review content. In conclusion, the validity of halal information in the digital space cannot be replaced by the subjective authority of content creators, and this crisis of trust emphasizes the urgency of strengthening the regulation-based halal product assurance ecosystem to protect consumer rights. This research has contributed to the development of sharia marketing literature related to the dynamics of Muslim consumer behavior in the global digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and empirically test the effect of Islamic financial digital literacy and perceived ease of technology use, both partially and simultaneously, on the interest in adopting Islamic fintech among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Ciamis Regency. The research approach used is causal associative quantitative. The population in this study amounted to 42,000 MSME units with a sample of 100 respondents determined through the Slovin formula using purposive sampling technique. Data collection was conducted using a Likert scale questionnaire. Data analysis was performed through classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing using IBM SPSS software. The results showed that partially, Islamic financial digital literacy had a positive and significant effect on adoption interest (t = 2.879; sig = 0.005). Similarly, the perceived ease of technology use proved to have a partial positive and significant effect (t = 11.257; sig = 0.000). Simultaneously, both variables significantly influenced the interest in adopting Islamic fintech (F = 94.860; sig = 0.000). The R Square value of 0.662 indicates that the contribution of Islamic financial digital literacy and perceived ease of technology use in explaining variations in Islamic fintech adoption interest in Ciamis Regency is 66.2%, while the remaining 33.8% is explained by other variables outside this research model. The conclusion of this study confirms that the readiness of Islamic cognitive capacity and the practicality of the application are the main determinants driving digital financial inclusion in the local MSME ecosystem.

Abstract

The low level of Islamic banking literacy among the religious community of Ciamis Regency demands concrete innovations in adaptive marketing communication strategies within this digital information age. This study primarily aims to analyze and describe the strategic role of digital marketing in increasing the overall brand awareness of Islamic banks among Ciamis people. The research method used is a descriptive quantitative approach through field survey methods. The research sample includes one hundred random respondents determined through the application of simple random sampling techniques from various districts across Ciamis Regency. Primary data collection was conducted by distributing structured online questionnaires to the target audience. Furthermore, the data analysis technique utilizes a simple linear regression test to measure the real influence of digital marketing variables on brand awareness with the help of a computer statistical program. Empirical field findings clearly indicate that digital marketing has a positive and significant influence on raising the level of sharia banking brand awareness among the local community. Financial education content packaged with sharia values and interactive visual promotions are dominant factors proven to strengthen public memory toward the actual existence of Islamic financial institutions. The implications of this study confirm that optimizing digital media does not only function as a mere business instrument, but also acts as an effective contemporary preaching medium to massively expand the reach of sharia financial inclusion.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and empirically test the effect of Islamic financial literacy and digital service accessibility, both partially and simultaneously, on Islamic banking financial inclusion among the community in Ciamis Regency. The research approach used is quantitative with a causal associative method. Since the exact population size is unknown, the minimum sample size was determined using the Cochran formula, which was then rounded to 100 respondents using a purposive sampling technique. Primary data collection was conducted through the distribution of a structured Likert-scale questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed using classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing with the assistance of IBM SPSS software. The results showed that partially, Islamic financial literacy had a positive and significant effect on Islamic banking financial inclusion (t = 2.702; sig = 0.008). Similarly, digital service accessibility proved to have a partial positive and highly dominant significant effect (t = 11.461; sig = 0.000). Simultaneously, both variables significantly influenced Islamic banking financial inclusion in Ciamis Regency (F = 96.330; sig = 0.000). The R Square value of 0.665 indicates that the combined cognitive contribution of Islamic financial literacy and digital accessibility infrastructure in explaining variations in Islamic banking financial inclusion is 66.5%, while the remaining 33.5% is explained by other variables outside this research model. The conclusion of this study confirms that expanding Islamic banking financial inclusion in semi-urban areas requires an absolute balance between strengthening the spiritual values of Islamic finance and providing reliable digital technology infrastructure.

Abstract

The low integration between the real sector of MSMEs and Islamic financial institutions in rural areas is often rooted in a massive literacy gap. This study aims to analyze in-depth the level of Islamic banking literacy among MSMEs in the traditional food industry in Sukajadi Village, Sadananya District, Ciamis Regency, and to examine the inhibiting factors that contribute to the low adoption of Islamic financial services. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive analytical methods through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation with ten informants who are traditional food business owners. The results show that the Islamic banking literacy of MSMEs in Sukajadi Village is still in the not-literate to less-literate phase. Although the majority of informants have a basic awareness of the physical existence of Islamic banks, they experience epistemological disruptions related to contract instruments and basic principles such as the prohibition of usury. This gap is triggered by the existence of cognitive accessibility barriers to the terminology of muamalah fiqh, which is considered complicated, and the absence of inclusive education from Islamic financial institutions, which tend to be passive at the grassroots level. As a result, business actors are trapped in "Pragmatic Resistance," where they prefer to persist with informal funding patterns, perceived as more practical, rather than migrate to the Islamic banking system. These findings confirm that the religious jargon of rural communities cannot be converted into inclusive financial behavior without a simplified contract structure and a more down-to-earth educational approach. This research contributes to the development of Islamic economics literature by offering a new paradigm regarding the urgency of a localized approach to terminology in financial literacy strategies for rural communities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and empirically test the effect of the effectiveness of productive zakat and the quality of mentoring, both partially and simultaneously, on the economic independence of mustahik in Ciamis Regency. The research approach used is quantitative with a causal associative method. The population in this study were mustahik recipients of the productive zakat program in Ciamis Regency with a sample of 100 respondents determined using the Slovin formula and purposive sampling technique. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires with a Likert scale. Data analysis was carried out using classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing with the help of IBM SPSS software. The results of the study indicate that partially the effectiveness of productive zakat has a positive and significant effect on the economic independence of mustahik (t = 4.420; sig = 0.000). The quality of mentoring is also proven to have a positive and significant effect on the economic independence of mustahik (t = 7.102; sig = 0.000). Simultaneously, the effectiveness of productive zakat and the quality of mentoring significantly influence the economic independence of mustahik (F = 35.487; sig = 0.000). The R Square value of 0.423 indicates that the contribution of the effectiveness of productive zakat and the quality of mentoring in explaining the variation in economic independence of mustahik is 42.3%, while the remaining 57.7% is influenced by other factors outside the research model. The conclusion of this study confirms that the success of the mustahik economic empowerment program is not only determined by the effectiveness of productive zakat distribution, but is also greatly influenced by the quality of the mentoring provided. Therefore, the integration between appropriate business capital assistance and quality mentoring is an important factor in encouraging the realization of economic independence of mustahik in Ciamis Regency.
