Abstract

This study aims to analyze user sentiment toward mobile applications based on reviews collected from Google Play Store by applying the Naive Bayes classification model. User reviews represent an important source of information that reflects user experiences, satisfaction levels, and perceived application quality. However, the large volume and unstructured nature of textual reviews make manual analysis inefficient and subjective. Therefore, this research adopts a quantitative approach using text classification based on machine learning to automatically categorize user reviews into positive, negative, and neutral sentiment classes. The research process consists of data collection, text preprocessing, feature extraction, sentiment classification using Naive Bayes, and model performance evaluation. Text preprocessing includes case folding, tokenizing, stopword removal, and stemming to improve data quality. Model performance is evaluated using accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score metrics. The results show that positive sentiment dominates user reviews, indicating that the application is generally well received by users, although negative and neutral sentiments remain present and highlight areas that require improvement. The evaluation results demonstrate that the Naive Bayes model achieves reliable performance in classifying sentiment, with balanced evaluation metrics that indicate stable classification capability. These findings confirm that Naive Bayes remains an effective and efficient method for sentiment analysis of application reviews. This study contributes theoretically to sentiment analysis research and practically provides insights that can support application developers in evaluating user feedback and improving application quality.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh intesintas komunikasi antarbudaya terhadap adaptasi sosial mahasiswa perantau di Yogyakarta. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode yang dipilih asosiatif. Subjek penelitian yang berjumlah 113 mahasiswa perantau berasal dari luar Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta dan sedang menempuh Pendidikan di perguruan tinggi yang berada di Yogyakarta. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner skala Likert, dengan analisis data menggunakan regresi linear sederhana dengan program SPSS. Hasil analisis yang menunjukkan bahwa data peneliti memenuhi asumsi uji normalitas dan linearitas. Hasil uji regresi menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan intesitas komunikai antarbudaya terhadap adaptasi sosial mahasiswa perantau dengan nilai signifikasi 0,021 < 0,05. Nilai koefisien korelasi (R) sebesar 0,843 menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang sangat kuat antara kedua variable, sedangkan koefisien determinasi (R Square) sebesar 0,711 menunjukkan 71,1% adaptasi sosial mahasiswa perantau dipengaruhi oleh intensitas komunikasi antarbudaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya intensitas komunikasi antarbudaya memiliki peranan yang penting dalam mendukung proses adaptasi sosial mahasiswa perantau pada lingkungan multikultural Yogyakarta.

Abstract

Conformity pressure in peer groups is one of the factors that most influence the emergence of smoking behavior in adolescent boys. The classic findings of Solomon Asch's experiments provide the basis that individuals can adjust their opinions and actions when under the pressure of majority norms. In line with this, various public health studies and social network research have highlighted the mechanisms of influence and selection as the main explanation for why smoking behavior can spread in adolescent groups. This literature review examines in detail 10 major empirical studies related to the relationship between conformity and smoking behavior in adolescents, along with additional analysis from 25 other scientific sources. The results of the study showed that normative group pressure, social status in the school network, closeness to close friends, and social relationship patterns affect adolescents' chances of starting smoking. Its interaction with other environmental factors suggests that conformity does not work alone, but is interrelated to the process of social selection and group dynamics. These findings hint at the importance of social network-based interventions and strengthening anti-smoking norms as prevention strategies.

Abstract

As social beings, humans live in groups and need one another; interaction and communication are integral parts of daily life. Communication plays a crucial role in human life, in line with its persuasive, educational, and informative functions. The objective is to create a pleasant, comfortable, and stress-free learning environment. This scientific article employs a systematic literature review method to examine and synthesize relevant conceptual theories, based on literature analysis from various scholarly sources. References were collected through searches in academic databases such as Google Scholar, as well as from books and indexed national journals. Communication also serves as a means for control, motivation, emotion management, information dissemination, discussion, socialization, entertainment, education, and cultural development. Thus, effective communication between educators and learners in the learning process is expected to be realized. Educational communication has several roles: creating a conducive learning climate, facilitating the delivery of lesson materials, increasing learning motivation and interest, developing social and emotional skills, and evaluating the learning process and outcomes.

Abstract

The General Principles of Good Governance (Asas-Asas Umum Pemerintahan yang Baik/AUPB) constitute fundamental principles in administrative law that serve as both guidelines and limitations for government officials in making administrative decisions. This study aims to analyze the problems in the application of AUPB in administrative decision-making practices and to examine their juridical implications for the protection of citizens’ rights. This research employs a normative juridical approach by examining statutory regulations, particularly Law Number 30 of 2014 on Government Administration, administrative law doctrines, and relevant administrative court decisions. Data were collected through library research and analyzed using a descriptive qualitative method. The findings reveal that although AUPB has been normatively recognized as a standard for assessing the legality of administrative decisions, its implementation in practice remains inconsistent. Administrative decisions tend to emphasize formal legality while neglecting principles such as prudence, proportionality, and transparency. This condition weakens the protection of citizens’ rights and contributes to the increasing number of administrative disputes. The study highlights the importance of internalizing AUPB as a substantive guideline to ensure that administrative decisions are not only legally valid but also reflect justice, legal certainty, and governmental accountability.

Abstract

Prostitution is a form of social pathology that poses serious challenges to public order, social stability, and moral values. Within the framework of regional autonomy, local governments are authorized to address prostitution through regional regulations and administrative law enforcement carried out by regional apparatuses, particularly the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP). In Kupang City, prostitution control is regulated by Regional Regulation Number 39 of 1999 concerning the Control of Prostitution Sites. This study aims to analyze the regulatory framework governing the functions of Satpol PP in controlling prostitution in Kupang City, examine the implementation of prostitution control measures, and identify factors that hinder the effectiveness of these functions. This research employs a normative-empirical juridical method using statutory and conceptual approaches. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and literature reviews. The findings indicate that although Satpol PP has implemented preventive and repressive measures, the control of prostitution has not been optimal. Major obstacles include weak regional regulations that are not responsive to modern forms of prostitution, limited human resources and budgetary support, and low levels of public legal awareness. The study concludes that effective prostitution control requires regulatory reform, institutional strengthening of Satpol PP, and more comprehensive and sustainable policy approaches.

Abstract

Changes in the characteristics of students belonging to Generation Alpha require a new approach to managing and improving the quality of education, including in the practice of educational supervision. Educational supervision, which has tended to be administrative and evaluative in nature, is considered to be insufficient in responding to the challenges of learning that are increasingly complex, adaptive, and technology-based. This study aims to reconstruct the approach to educational supervision by integrating humanistic and performance-based approaches as a strategic effort to meet the educational needs of Generation Alpha in Indonesia. This study uses the library research method by analyzing various scientific sources in the form of books, journal articles, and relevant educational policy documents. The results of the study show that the humanistic supervision approach plays an important role in building empathetic, dialogical, and empowering professional relationships with teachers, while performance-based supervision is necessary to ensure accountability and the achievement of learning quality standards. The integration of these two approaches allows educational supervision to function in a balanced manner as a means of professional development and quality assurance. The reconstruction of adaptive, contextual, and performance-oriented educational supervision is considered relevant to improving the quality of learning and preparing a competent, characterful, and intelligent Generation Alpha.

Abstract

The emergence of digital financial services has triggered an increase in the popularity of paylater payments, especially among tech-savvy Generation Z. This problem has made it necessary to comprehend the elements that affect people's decisions to utilize paylater, particularly students. The goal of this study is to examine how financial literacy and the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) affect Generation Z's decision to utilize paylater at Pamulang University. Students who had utilized the paylater payment system completed questions as part of a quantitative survey methodology. Multiple linear regression was used to analyze the data. The study's findings show that while financial literacy promotes more logical decision-making, elements of the Theory of Planned Behavior have a substantial impact on paylater use decisions.

Abstract

Flood disaster is an event or situation where an area or land is submerged due to an increase in water volume. The purpose of this study is to determine the value of direct and indirect economic losses suffered by the community due to flooding in Kampung Salo Village, Kendari District, Kendari City. This research was conducted in Kampung Salo Village, Kendari District, Kendari City from March to April 2025. Data collection methods included observation, interviews, and literature study. Data analysis was carried out by distinguishing between direct and indirect economic losses. Direct economic losses were analyzed through the calculation of costs related to the loss of household furniture and replacement costs for repairing furniture, vehicles, and buildings. Meanwhile, indirect economic losses were analyzed based on medical/hospitalization costs, lost income, and additional expenses. The results indicate that the flooding caused significant economic losses to the affected community. The economic loss value was calculated based on direct losses, including damage and loss of economic assets such as household furniture, replacement costs for repairing furniture, vehicles, and buildings, and indirect losses, including medical/hospitalization costs, lost income, and additional expenses. The total estimated economic loss experienced by the affected community in Kampung Salo Village, Kendari District, Kendari City is Rp7.086.939.975,36. The largest portion of the losses came from direct economic losses amounting to Rp4.215.526.453,44, followed by indirect losses totaling Rp2.871.413.521,92. Efforts made by the government to reduce the impact of flooding include the development of drainage systems, such as cleaning drainage channels and repairing river embankments

Abstract

This study investigates the significance of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) disclosure in amplifying the transparency of financial reporting within the corporate sector. Adopting a quantitative approach with a causal-comparative design, the research analyzes secondary data from 150 companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2022–2024 period. The relationship between ESG disclosure scores and financial reporting transparency indices was examined using multiple linear regression analysis, integrating firm size, profitability, and leverage as control variables to isolate the primary effects. Empirical findings confirm that ESG disclosure exerts a positive and significant influence on financial reporting transparency. These results validate the propositions of legitimacy theory, signaling theory, and stakeholder theory, which posit that entities with high sustainability commitments tend to adopt a culture of radical transparency, thereby reducing information asymmetry in non-financial aspects while simultaneously enhancing the integrity of financial disclosures. Practically, this study emphasizes the urgency of standardized ESG reporting regulations to mitigate greenwashing risks and provides a strategic framework for management to strengthen corporate credibility and investor confidence in the capital market.
