Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of emotional intelligence and authoritarian parenting on bullying behavior among students at SMP Negeri 14 Purworejo. A quantitative approach with a correlational design was employed, involving 175 students selected through stratified cluster sampling. Data were collected using validated and reliable Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that emotional intelligence and authoritarian parenting simultaneously have a significant effect on bullying behavior. However, partially, emotional intelligence shows no significant effect, while authoritarian parenting has a significant negative effect. This suggests that higher parental control and supervision are associated with lower levels of bullying behavior. The coefficient of determination of 13% indicates that the variables explain only a small portion of the variance in bullying behavior. These findings highlight that bullying is a complex phenomenon influenced by multiple factors, requiring comprehensive prevention strategies involving families, schools, and the broader social environment.

Abstract

The Tafsir Ibn Kathir is a monumental work in the study of Quranic exegesis, written by Imam Ibn Kathir. This tafsir is known as the tafsir bil ma'tsur method, namely the interpretation of the Quran based on the Quran itself, the hadith of the Prophet, the opinions of the Companions, and the followers of the Prophet. This study aims to examine the characteristics, methods, and advantages of the Tafsir Ibn Kathir in understanding the meaning of Quranic verses. The method used is a literature study by analyzing the contents of the Tafsir Ibn Kathir book and related sources. The results of the study indicate that the Tafsir Ibn Kathir excels in its thoroughness in the chain of hadith, systematic explanation of the verses, and the use of strong narrations as a basis for interpretation. Furthermore, this tafsir also provides explanations of language and historical context that help readers understand the verses' meanings comprehensively. However, several Israeli narrations are included with critical explanations.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh budaya K-Pop terhadap perubahan pandangan mahasiswa Ilmu Komunikasi FISIP UNISKA Banjarmasin terhadap budaya lokal. K-Pop sebagai fenomena global berpotensi memengaruhi identitas dan nilai budaya, khususnya di kalangan mahasiswa yang menjadi pengadopsi awal tren. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan analisis regresi linier sederhana melalui SPSS. Data diperoleh dari 100 responden berusia 18–25 tahun yang terpapar K-Pop, menggunakan kuisioner skala Likert dan Guttman dengan teknik proportionate stratified random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan budaya K-Pop berpengaruh signifikan positif terhadap pandangan mahasiswa terhadap budaya lokal. Nilai R-square sebesar 0,083 mengindikasikan kontribusi K-Pop terhadap perubahan pandangan sebesar 8,3%. Uji signifikansi menunjukkan hubungan yang bermakna secara statistik (Sig. t = 0,004 < 0,05; t-hitung 2,986 > t-tabel 0,093). Paparan K-Pop meningkatkan persepsi dan penerimaan budaya lokal, tercermin pada gaya hidup, nilai, dan kebiasaan. Faktor yang memengaruhi antara lain tren fashion, gaya komunikasi, figur idola, preferensi musik, serta akses media sosial. Penelitian merekomendasikan mahasiswa lebih proaktif memahami dan melestarikan budaya lokal, serta mendorong pemanfaatan strategi promosi inovatif agar budaya lokal tetap relevan di era globalisasi.

Abstract

This study examines the method of Tafsir Maudhui (thematic interpretation) as a comprehensive approach to understanding the Qur'anic text by focusing on specific themes rather than individual verses. The research aims to analyze how thematic interpretation can provide deeper insights into Islamic teachings and facilitate the practical application of Qur'anic guidance in contemporary contexts. Employing a qualitative research design, this study utilizes library research and content analysis to examine classical and contemporary tafsir literature, including the works of prominent scholars who employed the maudhui approach. Data collection involves identifying relevant verses, classifying them according to themes, and analyzing interpretative patterns to uncover the rationale and methodology behind thematic exegesis. The findings indicate that Tafsir Maudhui not only enhances the coherence of Qur'anic messages but also offers a structured framework for understanding complex legal, moral, and social issues addressed in the Qur’an. The research demonstrates that this method bridges the gap between textual interpretation and practical application, providing a valuable tool for educators, scholars, and practitioners seeking to derive contextualized guidance from the Qur’an. Ultimately, Tafsir Maudhui contributes to a holistic understanding of Islamic teachings, promoting a thematic and integrated approach that strengthens both intellectual comprehension and spiritual reflection.

Abstract

This study examines the Qur’anic terms wālidain and abawain through Roland Barthes’ semiotic approach, encompassing three levels of meaning: denotative, connotative, and myth. Primary data were drawn from the Qur’an, while secondary data came from classical and contemporary tafsir works, Arabic lexicons, and relevant scholarly studies. Using a qualitative text analysis method, each occurrence of wālidain and abawain was classified according to its Qur’anic context. The findings reveal that, at the denotative level, both terms refer to parents, yet they carry distinct linguistic nuances: wālidain emphasizes the biological relationship, whereas abawain conveys the father’s role as the family’s representative figure. At the connotative level, their usage is influenced by socio-cultural context and the moral message of the verse. At the mythic level, wālidain constructs a narrative of unconditional emotional devotion, while abawain conveys a narrative of structural responsibility within the family. These results affirm the relevance of Barthes’ semiotics in Qur’anic exegesis and contribute to a deeper understanding of parent–child relationships from the Qur’anic perspective.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the definition and sources of Islamic teachings within the framework of Islamic studies methodology in a comprehensive manner. The research employs a qualitative literature review approach to analyze Islam from both etymological and terminological perspectives, as well as to explore its epistemological foundations. The findings indicate that, linguistically, Islam conveys meanings of submission, peace, and salvation, while terminologically it is understood as a revealed religion centered on the concept of monotheism (tawhid) that governs all aspects of human life. Within the methodology of Islamic studies, the primary sources of Islamic teachings consist of the Qur’an as the absolute divine revelation, the Sunnah as the explanatory and practical authority, and ijtihad as a rational instrument that enables the teachings of Islam to remain dynamic and contextually relevant. These three sources form an integrated system of knowledge that harmonizes revelation and reason, allowing Islam to address the evolving challenges of human life. Therefore, understanding the definition and sources of Islamic teachings is not only conceptual but also methodological, playing a crucial role in the development of critical, contextual, and relevant Islamic studies.

Abstract

  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tafsir Jalalain sebagai salah satu karya klasik dalam kajian Al-Quran dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data diperoleh melalui kajian pustaka dari naskah asli Tafsir Jalalain yang mendukungnya. Penelitian menguraikan mekanisme penafsiran yang digunakan oleh penulis, termasuk pendekatan linguistik dan kontekstual dalam menjelaskan ayat-ayat Al-Quran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tafsir Jalalain memiliki keunikan dalam penyajian materi yang ringkas namun padat makna serta mudah dipahami, yang menjadi nilai kebaharuan dalam konteks kajian tafsir saat ini. Pembahasan fokus pada relevansi tafsir ini terhadap pembelajaran Al-Quran di dunia pendidikan Islam, memberikan makna penting sebagai referensi pengajaran and penelitian lanjutan. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat memperkaya khazanah ilmu tafsir dan menjadi sumber inspirasi bagi pengembangan metode pembelajaran Al-Quran yang lebih efektif.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the introduction to the methodology of Islamic studies as a scientific foundation for understanding Islamic teachings in a systematic, comprehensive, and contextual manner. The methodology of Islamic studies not only discusses ways of interpreting religious texts but also includes approaches, methods, and frameworks used to analyze Islam as both a doctrine and a social phenomenon. This research employs a library research method with a descriptive-analytical approach using relevant literature sources. The findings indicate that the methodology of Islamic studies plays an important role in integrating various approaches such as theological, historical, sociological, and philosophical perspectives. Thus, Islamic studies are not merely normative but are also capable of addressing contemporary social dynamics. Furthermore, a proper understanding of methodology helps prevent misinterpretations of Islamic teachings and encourages critical and scientific thinking. Therefore, mastering the methodology of Islamic studies is essential for the development of Islamic scholarship in the modern era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the collaboration between Islamic principles and local wisdom in creating social harmony and cultural resilience in diverse communities, with particular attention to the practice of tahlilan in Bengkulu City. This research applies a qualitative approach through library research with descriptive-analytical and conceptual analysis. The results show that tahlilan is a blend of Islamic values and local culture that serves as a religious ritual and a means of social interaction that strengthens solidarity, cooperation, and cohesion within the community. This practice demonstrates flexible and balanced religiosity through the concepts of ‘urf and maqaṣid al-shari‘ah. However, there are obstacles related to low participation among young people and differences in perspectives between Islamic groups such as Nahdlatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah. Furthermore, there is a tendency to reform tahlilan toward a more practical, flexible form that focuses on social values. Therefore, tahlilan plays an important role in creating social harmony and strengthening cultural resilience, provided it can adapt to changes in modern society.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of educational games in enhancing elementary school students’ motivation to learn mathematics through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. Data were collected from scientific articles obtained via Google Scholar with the assistance of Publish or Perish. The selection process was conducted using the PRISMA framework, resulting in 10 articles that met the inclusion criteria. The results of the study indicate that the use of educational games, such as Wordwall, Kahoot, and Math Playground, has proven effective in enhancing students’ motivation to learn mathematics through interactive, engaging, and enjoyable learning experiences. Additionally, educational games also contribute to improving student engagement, conceptual understanding, and critical thinking skills.
