<![CDATA[This study explores the phenomenon of using second accounts on Instagram as a form of self-disclosure with a dramaturgical approach in the context of social media, particularly among students of the Faculty of Communication Sciences at Djuanda University. Adopting Erving Goffman's dramaturgical theory, the research identifies the second account as part of the backstage, where individuals can design roles and self-presentations without the constraints of their main accounts. Within the framework of self-disclosure theory, students are highlighted for voluntarily disclosing personal information on social media to build interpersonal relationships. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method, involving observations and in-depth interviews with students. The results indicate that students with second accounts act as digital dramaturges, preserving privacy, enhancing creativity, and reinforcing their online identities through self-disclosure. This study provides a profound understanding of dramaturgy in social media, particularly the use of second accounts on Instagram as a form of self-disclosure, demonstrating that digital dramaturgy has become a complex and relevant strategy in the era of social media.]]>

<![CDATA[A national labor action is a form of protest carried out by workers to demand their rights that are considered unfulfilled. The national labor action that occurred in 2023 in Indonesia had a significant impact on various sectors, including the industrial sector. One of the impacts that arose was the decline in employee performance in several affected companies. The research method used is the descriptive qualitative method. Descriptive qualitative research aims to describe and illustrate existing phenomena. Thus, it can be concluded that the workers are disappointed with the injustice in terms of the wages given, they feel that the wages/salaries given are not proportional to the performance they put out. This reason is a factor in the workers’ insistence on getting an increase in their wages. Overall, the workers’ national labor action was based on dissatisfaction with the wages given to workers in Indonesia, giving rise to the national labor action. In this context, the calculation of inflation, economic growth, and the current need for a decent living are important factors that must be considered in raising wage increases for workers. These factors can also affect the work stress and welfare of the workers. The speech action this time conveyed two demands, namely the revision of the DKI UMP from 3.6% to 15% and the implementation of the minimum wage under the Jakarta Labor Law.]]>

<![CDATA[The tragedy of the fire that occurred at the Pertamina Plumpang Depot in March 2023 resulted in casualties. This incident claimed lives, caused injuries, and led to facility damage and other losses. The root cause of the fire was attributed to various factors, primarily stemming from the use of petroleum products. In responding to this incident, PT Pertamina implemented a strategy that involved providing health assistance, accommodation, and food. Additionally, the company held a press conference on March 4th, 2023, and issued press releases through Pertamina's official YouTube channel. The objective of this research is to understand how Pertamina's crisis communication management unfolded during the Pertamina Plumpang Depot fire issue. The research employed a qualitative method with descriptive analysis. The findings and discussions in this study indicate that the Plumpang Depot fire crisis did not significantly damage the reputation and credibility of PT Pertamina. This was because the company successfully instilled a positive perception among the public, and Pertamina's Public Relations demonstrated responsiveness in handling the case.]]>

<![CDATA[Marcuse’s main idea is that technology and mass consumption have created a social order that makes people "one-dimensional human," losing the ability to think critically and see social alternatives. Marcuse argued that a fundamental change in society was needed to allow the liberation of individuals from the pressures and constraints generated by the capitalist system. The purpose of this paper is to critically explore the dialectic of Herbert Marcuse's approach to the "one-dimensional man" and repressive desublimation. This research method uses a qualitative approach with a critical approach to the study of Herbert Marcuse's thought. The concepts of "repressive sublimation" and "administrated" describe the way modern society directs its natural human impulses into a form regulated and controlled by social and political authorities. Repressive sublimation results in the suppression of self-expression and creativity, while administrated refers to the dominance of bureaucracy and technocracy in managing society. This results in unfreedom and homogenization in society. This study contains Marcuse's biography, looking at the content of his works, contributions to knowledge and communication, and the relevance of Herbert Marcuse's critical thinking to the current context. One Dimensional Man; is used as a spectacular work a narrative created to criticize the irrational and oppressive grand narrative of capitalism with an exploitative power structure through the affirmative dimension, for which Marcuse suggests rebuilding the dimension of negation; Where society again has critical power and is no longer in a state of silence.]]>

<![CDATA[Air pollution cases are increasing in the Banten region allegedly due to air pollution by PT PLN (PLTU) which comes from the combustion process of one of its plants, thus emitting emissions or remnants of processing results from its chimney. The cause of air pollution is caused by the combustion of one of the plants but because of vehicle gas. So that these reasons can affect the image of the PLTU making PLTU Public Relations carry out various strategies in communicating the issue. The purpose of this study is to see how PR steps to build public trust in PLN (PLTU). This research uses qualitative methods with media monitoring from the mass media related to reporting on issues about air pollution caused by the Suralaya PLTU from February 23, 2021 - September 2023. This research states that the role of Public Relations in restoring the company's image in cases of air pollution caused by PLTU is to conduct media monitoring, media visits, make press releases, create programs in collaboration with stakeholders, help the government to reduce air pollution by spraying water at the top of PLN's head office tower, develop Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs. As well as developing the "PLN Peduli" program where free education programs and Partnership and Community Development programs at the Carnation Waste Bank.]]>

<![CDATA[Takalar is one of the regency in South Sulawesi Province which has diverse natural and cultural wealth. Maudu lompoa is one of the cultural traditions in Takalar regency which is held every year. The tradition is carried out to commemorate the birth of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. This research and writing aims to identify the management strategy (POAC) of the Maudu’ Lompoa tradition as a leading tourist attraction in Cikoang Village, Takalar regency. This research was conducted using direct observation, interviews, and literature studies. . The results of the study show that the application of management functions (planning, organizing, actuating, controlling) forms the basis of the strategy for developing the maudu lompoa tradition to become a leading attraction. <![CDATA[Most plastic waste is not processed properly and can cause pollution to the surrounding environment. This problem is currently being faced by residents of Gunung Putri Bogor District, low knowledge and lack of contribution from residents in managing organic waste and non-organic waste, leads to the dumping and burning of waste in quite large quantities, which can trigger air pollution and disease, so the aim in This service is to evaluate the effectiveness of various waste management methods, especially in the context of waste sorting, to raise awareness of the importance of managing plastic waste on a small scale, as well as providing a positive impact on environmental conservation efforts. It is hoped that the knowledge generated from this research can be used as an initial reference to increase public awareness in waste management and also encourage active community participation in reducing the impact of environmental pollution produced through a triggering approach, namely encouraging behavior change by providing information and training in the form of waste management workshops. plastic so that residents have the opportunity to handle and manage dry waste (organic and inorganic). The method used in this activity was that the researcher gave a pre-test and post-test before and after the activity. The researcher wanted to measure the level of knowledge and understanding, attitudes, and behavior of the participants in waste management. The results achieved by researchers show a growth in knowledge, attitudes, and behavior of participants in the use of small plastic waste as well as the role of the community. <![CDATA[The Salatiga White Cross Christian Social Foundation is a social institution that focuses on social and humanitarian services, apart from that, this foundation also develops human resources through several programs. The foundation is a continuation of the services of the Witte Kruis Kolonie which was founded on 14 May 1902. The social services provided by this foundation include nursing homes, orphanages, work centers, work training centers, and medical centers. The large operational costs are one of the obstacles experienced by foundations in carrying out their services. Helping hands from donors are needed, but the use of media is currently not effective for donors or the public who want to know about the social services carried out by the White Cross Candidate Foundation. Based on the existing problems, information media is needed that can describe the vision, mission, and objectives of the foundation and provide a clear and detailed picture of what service areas are managed by the management of the White Cross Foundation. By using qualitative research methods and applying a linear strategy as a creative stage, it is hoped that we will be able to produce profile videos that can present foundation profile information in more detail and interest to potential donors or the general public who have an interest in social services. <![CDATA[The solidarity life of mechanical communities in rural areas generally has closer social ties than organic communities in urban areas. It seems to be a gap between what is expected and reality if rural mechanical solidarity is still able to make the elderly feel lonely in the midst of deep-rooted social ties. This study aims to determine the relationship between social support and the level of loneliness of the elderly using THE MPSS scale and UCLA Loneliness Scale Version 3. This quantitative study involved 91 elderly participants in Barengkok Village, Bogor Regency. Parametric analysis to see the relationship between independent and dependent variables using Pearson Product Moment. The results showed a negative correlation (r = -0.629 and p = 0.000) which indicates that if social support increases, the level of loneliness decreases. The implication of this study is that the elderly need to be given social support either from a partner, family or friends so that the elderly do not feel lonely.]]>

Penelitian ini menelaah makna spirit untuk mengatasi keterpurukan, melalui salah satu lagunya , Epiphany. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Pendekatan kualitatif menggunakan teknik analisis semiotika Ferdinan De Saussure pada lirik lagu Epiphany. Data utamanya berasal dari lirik lagu Epiphany, sementara data pendukungnya diperoleh dari riset kepustakaan dan observasi terhadap lirik lagu. Konsep-konsep yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini didasarkan pada pemahaman terhadap lirik (petanda/signified) dengan menggunakan tiga konsep kunci." keterpurukan, kesadaran, dan kebangkitan. Sebagai kesimpulan dengan pentingnya penerimaan diri dan mencintai diri sendiri sebelum mencari cinta dari orang lain.
