Abstract

Abstract Antibiotics are one of the most commonly used drugs in the community because they are so readily available, even without a prescription. Utilizing antibiotics excessively, improperly, and unnecessarily promotes the emergence of resistance and even multiple resistances in certain bacteria, which can lead to cross-infection. According to numerous studies conducted in Indonesia regarding antibiotic knowledge, there are still a large number of people from various circles who do not comprehend the use of antibiotics. Resistance to the antibiotics ampicillin (73%), cotrimoxazole (56%), chloramphenicol (43%), ciprofloxacin (22%), and gentamicin (18%) resulted in 781 patients infected with Escherichia coli bacteria in 2016, according to research conducted by Nisak. In addition, the results of the research on knowledge of antibiotic use in the community revealed that as many as 14 respondents had low knowledge and only 20 respondents had high knowledge of antibiotic use among mothers in the Airlangga Village area of the Gubeng District of Surabaya. Therefore, we perform community service utilizing health education techniques regarding the correct use of antibiotics. The activity was conducted for 120 minutes on June 25, 2022 in Buaran Village, RT001/RW005, Pamulang, Banten, Indonesia. The success of community service activities is determined by administering pre- and post-tests. From pre-test results of 64.3% to post-test results of 90.7%, there was an increase of 26.4% in the percentage of the public who knew about the use of antibiotics. Abstract

Abstract Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) is a catastrophic disease with the highest cause of death in Indonesia. This results in the loss of productive days for sufferers and caregivers. Research conducted by the Health Research and Development Agency shows that the current development of PTM in Indonesia is increasingly worrying. The reason is the increasing trend of PTM is followed by a shift in disease patterns, if in the past, this type of disease was usually experienced by the elderly group, now it is starting to threaten the productive age group. Physical examination which includes blood pressure, blood sugar examination, measurement of weight, height, waist circumference can be an indicator to determine physical fitness. Anemia also affects a person's nutritional status. The incidence of anemia in Indonesia is still quite high. The solution to overcome this problem is carried out by community service activities by lecturers and students with the target of lecturers and students in the environment at STIKes Widya Dharma Husada Tangerang. The implementation of this community service is carried out with the following methods: Blood pressure checks, blood sugar checks, weighing, measuring height, waist circumference, health counseling and giving blood-supplement tablets (TTD) for free to students. By holding this service activity, it is hoped that it can trigger the awareness of students to care more about health, routinely check health and assist government programs in reducing the incidence of anemia and also the risk of non-communicable diseases (PTM) in the community. The follow-up to the results of this community service is that health checks, health counseling and the provision of Blood Add Tablets (TTD) can be carried out in different places so that more teenagers understand the importance of health and can reduce the incidence of anemia in Indonesia, especially in Banten Province. Abstract

Abstract A person's level of physical fitness can be seen from activities such as, students who take part in lecture activities need physical fitness to support the teaching and learning process on campus optimally. Physical examination which includes blood pressure, weight, height, waist circumference can be an indicator to determine physical fitness. Anemia also affects a person's nutritional status. The incidence of anemia in Indonesia is still quite high. Based on the Riskesdas 2018, it is stated that the prevalence of age 15-24 years in Indonesia is 32% anemia, meaning that 3-4 out of 10 teenagers suffer from anemia. The solution to overcome this problem was carried out by community service activities by lecturers and students at STIKes Widya Dharma Husada Tangerang with a target of 100 students. The implementation of this community service is carried out with the following methods: Blood pressure checks, weighing, measuring height, waist circumference, health counseling and giving Tablet Tambah Darah (TTD) for free to students. Most of the service participants do not know that anemia can occur in adolescents because of suboptimal nutritional intake and lack of physical activity so that participants are given health counseling to get education related to the knowledge of the importance of maintaining physical fitness for health and knowledge to prevent anemia.
