This study aimed to obtain a description of physics problem solving on work and power of 8 graders of SMP Labschool UNTAD Palu based on Heller's steps in terms of the students who have high, medium and low ability categories. This research was qualitative research. Respondents involved in this study consisted of 6 students, each 2 were from high, medium and low ability categories. The data were obtained through a problem-solving ability test consisting of 5 questions and interviews. The results of this study indicate that respondents in the high and medium categories have very good abilities in solving the given Physics problems, especially in terms of identifying and writing down things that are known and asked, making connections between existing information and the problems being asked, and implementing solving strategies. problem based on the concept of work and power. Meanwhile, respondents in the low category have very little ability to solve problems because students do not have a single problem-solving solution plan based on Heller's steps.

This study aimed to describe students’ understanding on graph representation while solving Work and Energy problems. This study used descriptive qualitative method. 30 students were given a test before selecting 6 respondents for further investigation. These 6 respondents consisted of 2 of high ability category, 2 of medium category, while the other 2 were in low category. The data in this study were collected through observation, written tests in the form of descriptions and interviews. Data were analysed using the stages of data reduction, presentation, and conclusion. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the ability of high school students to explain the graph of work and energy was in low category. This is due to several factors, including a lack of interest in working on graph problems that require interpretation, graph questions that have never been tested by the teacher, making it difficult for respondents to work on these questions. Also, students found it difficult to understand questions about the slope of the graph. Based on the results of tests and interviews, it was shown that students had difficulty interpreting the area under the graph, misinterpreting and misunderstood the graph. In addition, students could not read graphs and only answer tests by making up the answers, and did not understand the topic of work and energy.

This research aimed to review the density of radiographs with different variations of tube currents. It was conducted at the Radiology Laboratory of Al Islam Polytechnic of Bandung. This study is an optimization of the results of the X-ray machine examination in order to produce good quality images with the smallest possible radiation given to the patient within a safe limit value. Exposures were carried out on the step wedge with different tube currents of 5 mAs, 8 mAs, 10 mAs, 12.5 mAs, and 80 kV voltage, as well as the exposure time of 0.05 second which was set as a constant variable. The measurement results showed that the greater the tube currents were, the greater the measured density value would be. In accordance with the thickness of the material passed by the X-rays, the thicker the material was, the smaller the value of the measured density would be. Furthermore, among different selected tube currents, the tube current value of 5 mAs became the optimal value. It was indicated by the coefficient of determination between the tube current and the radiographic density value of 0.9842. However, other tube current variations were also more than 0.90. Consequently, it can be concluded that current values will greatly affect the density value of radiographs.

This research was conducted to produce a video based on character education in physics learning on the topic of global warming. The purpose of this research was to produce a valid and effective character education-based physics learning video media. This research was a development research that refered to the Development and Research Development (DRD) model which includes the preliminary stage, design stage, and effectiveness test stage. The video developed presented contextual examples that were adapted to the student environment at SMP Negeri 21 Palu. It intended to help students to understand physics concepts. Also, it can be used as a reference for teachers to improve the quality of physics learning in developing teaching materials, and is expected to be an additional reference for further research on making character education-based physics learning videos. Based on the results of the analysis of the media expert's assessment, an average score of 3.1 was obtained and was categorized as "Good", the analysis of the material expert's assessment obtained an average score of 3.0 and was categorized as "Good". The results of the study indicate that the developed learning video can be used as one of the learning media for students.

This study aims to determine the comparison of students' abilities in solving physics problems based on multiple representations. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. This research was conducted at Man Insan Cendekia Palu City in the 2019/2020 academic year. The subjects in this study were 15 students of class X IPA Asy-Syams Man IC Palu City. The test consists of 4 multi-representation questions, namely verbal representations, pictures, graphs and mathematical representations. The results showed that the comparison of students' ability to solve physics problems based on multi-representations, obtained an average percentage of 45.33% (enough) for verbal representation, image representation of 58.16% (enough), graphic representation of 66.46% ( good), and mathematical representation of 74.33% (good). Based on the average percentage of each representation, the highest representation of the three representations is the mathematical representation. Based on the interviews, respondents said that solving problems in mathematical form was easier. Meanwhile the lowest representation was verbal representation. Students thought that verbal representation questions are the most difficult to understand because students are unable to find or identify information in the form of words alone.

This study aims to determine the understanding of the local people of Sidera regarding the use of solar cells as alternative energy. The data in the study were obtained through a questionnaire in the form of a Likert scale questionnaire and interviews. The questionnaire in the form of a Likert scale questionnaire consists of 22 statement items and was followed by interviews with selected respondents. Data analysis in this study used a qualitative descriptive approach. Based on the results of research that has been done by researchers, the percentage of respondents' answers to questions about the knowledge of the people of Sidera about solar cells as an alternative energy given is 64% strongly agree, 25% agree and 11% doubtful. It can be concluded that the knowledge of residents about the use of solar cells as alternative energy in Sidera Village was good. As for the aspects used to determine the understanding of the Sidera community about the use of solar cells as alternative energy, including knowledge about solar cells (66% chose to agree), understanding about solar cells (70% chose to agree), how to use solar cells (80% chose to agree). strongly agree), the advantages of using solar cells (82% strongly agree), and the role of weather (86% strongly agree).

This study aimed to determine, analyze and describe the concept understanding of 11th graders IPA SMA/MA on temperature and heat. This research was a qualitative descriptive study. Respondents examined 21 students who were selected based on the consideration that the class had studied the material of temperature and heat. Analysis of the data through a concept understanding test of 5 questions that were adjusted and validated by expert judgment. The results showed that the proportion of students' overall concept understanding was 54.76%. The percentage of understanding on the first item was 38.09%, the second item was 66.67%, the third item was 63.09%, the fourth item was 50%, and the fifth item was 58.33%. This shows that the understanding of the concepts of 11th grade students in natural science class in high school on temperature and heat was still low. For this reason, it is necessary to pay more attention and remediation on physics topics, especially on the concept of temperature and heat because it affects the other concepts understanding.

This study aimed to determine the understanding of students' concepts on linear motion in kinematics based on learning styles. This research was a descriptive-qualitative research. 8 respondents who have a high level of conceptual understanding for each learning style involved in this research. Data were collected using reasoned multiple choice test consisting of 10 questions accompanied by a CRI (Certainty Of Response Index) column, a Kolb learning style questionnaire, and followed by interviews. Based on the learning style questionnaire, it is known that 14.81% of students use a divergent learning style, 14.81% with an assimilator learning style, 33.33% use a converger learning style, and students with a dominant learning style, namely the accommodator learning style with a percentage by 37.04%. For conceptual understanding on this topic, the percentage of diverger style, assimilator, and accommodator style were 50%, 47.5% and 26% respectively.
