Abstract

The ability to choose strategies is very necessary to achieve goals and education, especially for the selection of language skills learning strategies in elementary school students. One that can be used is a strategy to strengthen the language skills of elementary school students with a bilingual dormitory model. This study aims to examine what strategies are carried out by Madrasah Ibttidaiyyah Darul Hikmah Bantarsoka in strengthening the Arabic language skills of its students. This research is a descriptive qualitative research field. The research data came from observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study show that the bilingual boarding program does not run easily, there are inhibiting and supporting factors. Inhibiting factors include the many complaints and demands of parents, the lack of time to learn Arabic, the students themselves. And the supporting factors are the support from the school, the use of gamification methods, the existence of dormitory assistants, and Arabic teaching teachers and the availability of supporting learning facilities such as Arabic hiwar modules, al-mufrodzat al-haitiyyah, Arabic flashcards, educational sound cards.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the muhadhoroh program in improving students' public speaking skills at Junior High School Ngesong Jombang. The muhadhoroh program involves students giving short talks to their peers regularly. Its goal is to help students develop communication skills, reduce fear or nervousness when speaking, and build confidence. This research used a qualitative case study approach, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. Results show that the muhadhoroh program successfully creates a supportive learning environment that helps students gradually improve their communication skills. Additionally, support from teachers as facilitators plays an important role in the program's success, providing guidance and regular evaluations to help students prepare content and deliver messages effectively. The program also helps develop students' character through topics like moral values, leadership, and social responsibility. This allows students not only to become confident speakers but also to build integrity. The program positively impacts both speakers and the audience, who also benefit by learning from the talks. Overall, muhadhoroh serves as an effective and relevant public speaking model that other schools could use to help students grow into confident individuals with strong communication skills, ready to contribute in social and professional settings.

Abstract

There are a lot of problems in the education today that are connected to societal change and technology advancement. In the present day, the number of digital natives, or at last second-generation traditions, is growing. These are people that consider their environment to be the digital one they have been a part since birth. Many research investigations have demonstrated how game-based learning encourage students to actively participate in class because it makes them feel good. This study is aim to investigate how well Kahoot works for teaching vocabulary in English. The data for this descriptive qualitative study was collected using a literature review methodology. According to the results, students though that teaching English in the classroom with Kahoot was a good idea. By using a gamification technique, the advancement of technology can be used inside of the classroom

Abstract

Maharah kalam atau keterampilan berbicara merupakan salah satu kemampuan utama yang harus dimiliki oleh santri di pondok pesantren. Kemampuan ini tidak hanya mendukung komunikasi sehari-hari, tetapi juga menjadi bekal penting bagi santri untuk berdakwah dan menyampaikan gagasan di tengah masyarakat. Namun, pada kenyataannya, banyak santri yang mengalami kesulitan dalam berbicara di depan umum, terutama dalam menggunakan bahasa Arab. Beberapa hambatan yang sering dihadapi meliputi rasa gugup, rendahnya kepercayaan diri, dan kurangnya teknik berbicara yang baik. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya terstruktur untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara mereka melalui pelatihan publik Keywords: Publik Speaking Maharah Kalam Pelatihan Pondok Pesantren, Santri speaking. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas pelatihan publik speaking dalam meningkatkan maharah kalam santri di Pondok Modern Amanatussalam, Wonosalam. Pelatihan ini dirancang untuk memberikan pemahaman teori, teknik, dan praktik berbicara secara langsung di depan audiens. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan (action research) dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 30 santri kelas akhir yang dipilih berdasarkan kebutuhan pengembangan kemampuan berbicara. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan tes berbicara sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan. Pelaksanaan pelatihan meliputi sesi teori tentang dasar-dasar publik speaking, teknik menyusun pidato yang efektif, pengelolaan intonasi suara, dan pengendalian bahasa tubuh. Selanjutnya, peserta melakukan latihan praktik, termasuk simulasi berbicara di depan audiens dan diskusi kelompok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan pada kemampuan berbicara santri setelah mengikuti pelatihan. Sebelum pelatihan, hanya 40% santri yang mampu berbicara dengan lancar di depan audiens, sementara setelah pelatihan angka ini meningkat menjadi 85%. Selain itu, rasa percaya diri santri juga mengalami peningkatan, dan mereka lebih terampil dalam menyampaikan pidato dengan struktur bahasa yang sistematis dan komunikatif. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan publik speaking merupakan metode yang efektif untuk meningkatkan maharah kalam santri. Pelatihan ini tidak hanya membantu santri mengatasi hambatan dalam berbicara, tetapi juga memberikan mereka kepercayaan diri untuk tampil di depan umum. Diharapkan pelatihan ini dapat menjadi program berkelanjutan di Pondok Modern Amanatussalam untuk mendukung pengembangan keterampilan berbicara santri dalam bahasa Arab.

Abstract

The digital era has had a significant impact on various aspects of life, including education. With the advent of electronic learning (e-learning), educational media such as Wordwall and Quizizz have become increasingly popular. Wordwall supports game-based learning with interactive features like Matching Pairs and Random Wheel, which can enhance student engagement. Meanwhile, Quizizz offers an interactive online quiz experience with instant feedback, statistical features, and integration with other learning platforms. Both tools play a significant role in creating engaging and effective learning environments. This study highlights the effectiveness and advantages of each platform in supporting digital-based learning.
