Abstract

This research aims to improve the fine motor skills of young children through collage using used materials at Damhil Kindergarten. This research is class A action research. The subjects of this research were 10 children, consisting of 5 children, 5 boys aged 4-5 years. The data collection technique uses descriptive qualitative techniques. The results of the research show that there is an increase in the fine motor skills of young children aged 4-5 years through collage activities. It can be explained that fine motor skills in children in Damhil Kindergarten are the child's ability to use the fingers of the right and left hand in the collage activity of applying glue to picture patterns, that is, 9 out of 10 or 90% of children are at Very Well Developed abilities while there is 1 child or 10% of children were found to be underdeveloped. Most of the children showed good mastery of fine motor skills as measured through this collage activity, although there was still one child who needed more attention.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the development of fine motor skills in children aged 3-4 years through the activity of compiling geometric puzzles at Kbit Al-Ishlah, Gorontalo City. This research is classroom action research at KBIT Al-Ishlah. The subjects in this study were 9 children, consisting of 5 boys and 4 girls aged 3-4 years at Kbit Al-Ishlah Gorontalo. The data collection technique used qualitative description techniques. The results of this study showed that there was an increase in the fine motor skills of children aged 3-4 years through the activity of putting together puzzles. It can be explained that fine motor skills in children at KBIT Al-Ishlah are the child's ability to use the fingers of the right and left hand in the activity of compiling geometric puzzles, 5 out of 9 children or 75% of children are able to develop as expected, 2 children 10% of children The ability is starting to develop, while 1 child 5% is at the ability not yet developed. Most of the children show good mastery of fine motor skills as measured through the activity of putting together geometric puzzles, although there is still one child who needs more attention.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine: (1) the social development of children in PAUD Prima Pertiwi using bullying educational videos, (2) the influence of bullying educational videos on the social development of early childhood in PAUD Prima Pertiwi, Sayur Mahincat village. This research uses a quantitative approach with an experimental type of research. The research design used a one-group pretest-posttest type pre-experiment. The instruments used consisted of observations, interviews and tests. The data analysis technique uses descriptive statistics and carries out conditional tests, namely the normality test and homogeneity test. Test the hypothesis using the "t" test. The results of the research show that: (1) The social development of early childhood in PAUD Prima Pertiwi, Sayur Mahincat village is going well, this can be seen from the results of observations in the pretest and posttest. The pretest obtained an average of 11.9, while the posttest obtained an average of 19.8. From these results, there was a very significant increase from the pretest observation results to the posttest observation results. (2) The results of the "t" test calculation obtained tcount = 7.97 when compared with ttable at a 95% confidence level or 5% error rate with degrees of freedom (db) = N – k = 20 – 2 = 18 obtained ttable 2.10 . If the value of tcount = 7.97 is compared with ttable = 2.106 then it is known that tcount is greater than ttable, (7.97 > 2.106). This means that the proposed hypothesis is accepted as true. This means that there is an influence between bullying educational videos on the social development of early childhood at Prima Pertiwi PAUD Sayur Mahincat village.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the barriers in early childhood reading skills at Al-Mukaddimah Kindergarten. The main focus of this research includes identifying barriers experienced by children, factors that influence these barriers, and teacher efforts in overcoming reading difficulties. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach, which involves observation, interviews and documentation. The results show that there are several barriers in early reading skills, such as difficulty recognizing letters, distinguishing letters, and understanding symbols and numbers. Factors that influence these obstacles include the child's psychological condition, family environment, and learning methods applied by the teacher. Teachers' efforts in overcoming these obstacles are carried out through a fun and interactive approach, including the use of interesting learning media and varied teaching strategies. This research is expected to contribute to the development of reading learning methods in early childhood and provide recommendations for teachers and parents in supporting children's reading skills.

Abstract

The increasing cases of sexual violence in early childhood make it important to provide education about early childhood sex education, so that children can protect themselves from acts of sexual violence. The purpose of the study was to analyze a sex education pocket book for children aged 5-6 years at Kartika Kindergarten, Pontianak City. The research method uses research and development with a 3-D development model (Define, Design, Develop). The define stage includes analyzing students and concepts. The design stage includes designing media and materials. The develop stage includes expert validation. The pocket book material includes introduction to the body and limits of aurat, body parts that can and should not be touched, how to refuse inappropriate touch, and sexual violence complaint centers. The results showed that the pocket book “Ku Jaga Diriku” contains material on body recognition, aurat boundaries, touching that is allowed and prohibited, and how to protect yourself, material and media expert validation showed that the pocket book was very valid with a score of 100%, small and large scale trials showed that children's responses were very appropriate with a score of 100%, the pocket book effectively increased children's understanding of sex education.

Betimbang tradition is a traditional ceremony performed for children born in the month of Safar. This tradition has been carried out for generations and is still preserved to this day by the local community. This research aims to analyze the contribution of local culture in early childhood learning as a character development effort. Local culture has an important role in shaping children's identity and character from an early age. The used study methodology is descriptive qualitative, using data gathering approaches such as in-depth interviews and documentation. The findings indicated that the betimbang custom is still practiced by the population of Tanjung Intan Village as a hereditary cultural legacy. This ritual is observed for children born in the month of Safar, since this month is seen undesirable. The betimbang ritual procession encompasses the phases of begansai, buang-buang, fresh flour preparation, weighing the kid with apam cake, and hair cutting. The community believes that this custom may deter youngsters from misconduct and adversity. Researchers discovered that this practice cannot serve as the only metric for children's character development; it must be supplemented by effective parenting from guardians. The betimbang tradition embodies religious principles and communal cooperation that is upheld by the local community

Abstract

This study aims to describe how to improve students' learning outcomes in Geometry learning using the Problem Based Learning model in class V of SDN 18 Tebing Tinggi, Pesisir Selatan Regency. This type of research is classroom action research (PTK) using qualitative and quantitative approaches which are carried out in two cycles, with research procedures. The results of the study showed an increase in geometry learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle II. The results of the observation of the teaching module in the first cycle of the first meeting were obtained 79% (C) then in the first cycle of the second meeting the result of 87% (B) for that the observation of the first cycle of the teaching module was obtained an average of 83% (B), increasing in the second cycle to 95% (SB). Second, the results of the observation of the implementation of teacher aspect learning in the first cycle of the first meeting obtained a result of 78% (C), then in the first cycle of the second meeting obtained a result of 86% (B) for that the results of the observation of the teacher aspect obtained an average of 82% (B), increasing in the second cycle to 93% (SB). Third, the results of the implementation of learning aspects of students in the first cycle of meeting I obtained a result of 78% (C), then in the first cycle of meeting II obtained a result of 86% (B) for that the results of observation of the student aspect obtained an average of 82% (B), increasing in the second cycle to 93% (SB). Fourth, the learning outcomes of students in the first cycle of meeting I were obtained with a result of 71 (C), then in the first cycle of meeting II a result of 81 (B) for that the learning results of the first cycle were obtained an average of 76 (C), increasing in the second cycle to 90 (SB). Thus, it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning model can improve students' learning outcomes in Geometry learning in grade V of SDN 18 Tebing Tinggi, South Pesisir Regency
