Abstract

Building a generation with character is one of the main goals of education, especially at the elementary school level, as the initial foundation of moral and moral formation. Literacy of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) materials plays an important role in shaping students into individuals who are not only intellectually intelligent, but also have noble personalities. This study aims to explore the role of literacy in building a generation of character through the integration of Islamic values, such as honesty, responsibility, empathy, and tolerance, into students' daily lives. The approach used in PAI learning involves contextual strategies, interactive methods, and the utilization of technology to increase the effectiveness of material delivery. In addition, religious-based extracurricular activities, such as flash pesantren and social actions, also strengthen the internalization of PAI values. The implementation results showed that students who were exposed to PAI literacy consistently experienced improvements in discipline, spiritual awareness, and the ability to be tolerant of others. However, there were some challenges in implementing this literacy, such as limited resources, lack of access to technology and lack of parental involvement. This study emphasizes the importance of collaboration between schools, teachers, parents and communities in supporting effective PAI literacy implementation. With an integrated and sustainable approach, PAI literacy materials can become a solid foundation in forming a generation with strong character, noble character, and able to make a positive contribution to the nation and religion.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of the "One Day One Story" (ODOS) program on enhancing children's literacy, including reading, writing, speaking, imagination, and critical thinking skills. Regular activities of reading and listening to stories have been proven effective in improving literacy. Using qualitative methods and case studies, the research demonstrates that children participating in the ODOS program show significant increases in their interest and motivation to read, contributing to their overall literacy development. The program extends beyond the technical aspects of literacy by introducing cultural and moral values embedded in the stories, which foster character development. The study also emphasizes the crucial role of parental involvement in supporting literacy activities at home. Active participation from parents and access to high-quality reading materials help create an environment conducive to literacy growth. The research recommends integrating the ODOS program into school curricula to enhance student engagement. By leveraging digital technology, the program can be adapted to meet the needs of modern education, offering a more interactive and engaging learning experience. The findings highlight the importance of collaboration among parents, teachers, and communities in creating a supportive learning environment that promotes the holistic development of children's literacy skills.

Abstract

Character education through the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum has a vital role in shaping a young generation that is not only academically intelligent, but also noble. This study aims to explore the strategies used by teachers in integrating character values into the Islamic Education learning process. The research method used is qualitative with a field study approach, involving interviews, observations, and document analysis in several elementary schools and madrasahs. The results showed that effective strategies include teacher exemplary, habituation of good behavior, use of active learning methods, positive attitude and behavior-based assessment, and collaboration with parents. Teacher example is a key factor in inspiring students to apply character values. Habituation of good behavior through daily routines helps students internalize the values. In addition, active learning methods allow students to be directly involved in the learning process, while character-based assessments encourage students to demonstrate positive attitudes. Parental involvement is also important to create harmony between education at school and at home. Despite challenges such as the lack of understanding of character education among teachers and academic pressures, this study confirms the importance of integrating character education in the PAI curriculum to produce a generation that is faithful, pious and virtuous according to Islamic teachings.

Abstract

The development of the world, particularly in information technology, has brought about changes in all aspects of life, including social structures, culture, and educational systems, including Islamic boarding schools (pesantren). The changes or modernization of Islamic education in Indonesia, related to the idea of Islamic modernization, have influenced the dynamics of knowledge in the pesantren environment, resulting in the emergence of various types of pesantren and their respective dynamics in responding to modernization. This research aims to analyze the typology and dynamics of pesantren using a qualitative approach and descriptive method in the form of library research. There are at least three types of pesantren discussed in this study: traditional pesantren (salaf), modern pesantren (khalaf), and convergence pesantren (a mix of salaf and khalaf), also referred to as semi-modern. These three types of pesantren illustrate the dynamics of Islamic education in Indonesia, striving to balance tradition and modernity. The salaf pesantren preserves classical Islamic values, the khalaf pesantren responds to the needs of the modern world, while the convergence pesantren seeks to integrate both so that students possess balanced religious and general competencies. The greatest challenge for all three is how to remain relevant to the times without sacrificing the essence of religious values

From social media to e-commerce applications, the existence of this technology not only makes communication easier, but also opens up new opportunities in education. In this article, we will discuss the benefits that can be obtained, the challenges that may be faced, and concrete steps that can be taken to increase the effectiveness of using this technology. With the right insights, readers will be able to optimize the potential of digital applications and platforms in everyday life. Cultivating digital applications and platforms means developing, managing and utilizing these various technologies to achieve greater goals. This includes understanding user needs, developing relevant features, as well as effective marketing strategies. Abstract

Utilizing digital literacy in early childhood is an important first step in forming a digitally intelligent generation in the future. Digital literacy does not only focus on the ability to use technology, but also on developing critical thinking skills, creativity, and the ability to communicate through digital media. In this digital era, children need to be equipped with a good understanding of how to use technology wisely and safely. Through digital media, children can learn in an interactive and fun way, which encourages them to be more active in exploring knowledge. However, it is important to note that technology must be used with proper supervision from parents and educators, so that children can make positive use of technology. Educators and parents must create an environment that supports the development of children's digital literacy by providing access to quality and relevant educational materials. With this, children will be ready to face the challenges of increasingly advanced times and can utilize technology to support their cognitive and emotional development in a balanced way. Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) has an important role in shaping students' morals, especially at the elementary school (SD) level. The PAI curriculum is expected to provide a strong foundation for the formation of students' character and morals through teaching Islamic religious values. This article aims to examine the implementation of the PAI curriculum in elementary schools and how this curriculum can improve student morals. This research shows that the PAI curriculum applied with the right approach can increase students' understanding of Islamic teachings and shape their behavior in accordance with religious values, such as honesty, discipline and respect for others. However, effective implementation requires support from competent teaching staff, relevant teaching materials, and collaboration between schools and parents

Abstract

Urban transitional rural villages often face a variety of challenges in areas of village development, such as a lack of awareness of the the importance of being environmentally friendly and limited access to educational resources. This research explores the application of a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach in building community awareness in an urban transition villagewhich faces significant challenges due to limited educated communities. By involving the community in every stage of the research, from the problem identification to intervention evaluation, PAR serves to create sustainable change and increase community engagement. The research showed that the gap between the village policy system and the community needs as well as systemic barriers, such as resource limitations and resistance to change, are often and resistance to change, often hinder access to and the quality of development of community development. Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Qur'an-based Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning model in improving students' understanding of religious values in multicultural schools, as well as to identify the challenges faced in its implementation. The focus of this research also involves analyzing the impact of the learning model on students' social attitudes in the context of religious diversity. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a descriptive design, involving data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The research was conducted at Al-Falah Multicultural Vocational School, Bandung, with data analysis using thematic analysis techniques and triangulation to ensure the validity of the findings. The results showed that the implementation of the Qur'an-based PAI learning model was effective in improving students' understanding of religious values, despite challenges related to inclusiveness for non-Muslim students. The implementation of this model also contributes to the improvement of tolerance and respect for diversity among students. The implication of this study is that the Qur'an-based learning model can be an effective tool in creating a harmonious and inclusive learning environment, although proper management is needed to overcome the challenges of religious diversity in multicultural schools
