Abstract

Bricket is an alternative fuel made of various fuel mixed into one and formed into solid fuel according to needs. Usually the basic ingredient of briket is a chain of grain, corn cobbler and sugar cane. In this research will be designed a Bricket press tool with hydraulics as the main source of his movers. Research designed to build a Briket Press printer using R&D method (Research and development). On the process of designing initiated with the design of the device covering, design skeletons, prints, pressing pads, closing the prints, and holding the prints. Testing the device using a descriptive method by asking a few questions or angles to validator. The result of the pressure test and time it takes for a discharge is 150 kg/cm2/2133 psi. The time it takes is 246 seconds/ 04.10 minutes. The result of the functional and functional test results that were validated by 2 validators that were 93.5% for the proper test. The functional test results are 93%. The average large on the testing of functional and functional property testing is 93.25% categorized very well.

Abstract

Electric bicycles are alternative fuel vehicles. Electric bicycles use an energy source in the form of electricity. Many alternative energy potentials can be developed in Indonesia, including solar power. To be able to convert solar energy into electricity, a solar panel is needed. The problem in this study is how the design process and performance efficiency of solar electric bicycles are, while the purpose of this study is to determine the design process and performance efficiency of solar electric bicycles. The type of research used by the author is a research and development method. The test is carried out after the manufacturing process is complete, starting from the manufacture of the solar panel holder, the buffer holder, the dynamo holder, and the assembly of the electrical components. The test was conducted to determine the speed and a distance of 700 meters with a user weight of 61Kg. From the results, it was found that to be able to travel a distance of 700 meters took an average of 2 minutes 27 seconds with an average speed of 18 kilometers/hour.

Abstract

The sand sieving process is an activity that we often encounter in infrastructure development projects. But in the case of observations, problems are often encountered where workers still rely on simple or manual equipment. Based on the observations of the cases found, a semi-automatic sand sieving machine will be designed to help construction workers. In the process of making a sand sieve machine using a 9° sieve tilt angle with a sieve area of ​​3250 cm² and using a 0.5 cm x 0.5 cm mesh type. The driving source of the sand sieving machine uses an AC 0.5 HP electric motor with 1420 rpm. The eccentric shaft has a rotational speed of 115.36 rpm after receiving rotation from the AC motor. There are several tests on the sand sieving machine including tool functional testing, tool feasibility testing, and tool testing. In the functional test of the tool, testing all parts of the sand sieving machine obtained an average test value of 95%, in the feasibility test of the tool an average value of 100% was obtained, with a score of 4 and for testing the tool which included sand sieving, the average value has obtained the average of fine sand testing is 16.46 Kg and coarse sand is 3.53 Kg in 17.48 seconds, so it can be seen that the sand sieving machine can work optimally.

Abstract

The development of a plastic waste chopper machine with a gearbox transmission system was carried out because in previous studies there were still shortcomings, namely not being able to operate optimally because during the enumeration of plastic waste there was often a slip on the v-belt. So that this development is carried out using a gearbox transmission system so that the rotation when chopping is more leverage. The research method used is the R&D (research and development) method, a method or step to produce new products or develop existing products, and is used to test the effectiveness of the product. For engine specifications, it uses an electric motor with a speed of 1400 rpm, and a gearbox transmission system with a ratio of 1:50 as a transmission between the motor and the blade shaft. This study uses a type of PET plastic glass waste to be chopped. The results of the minimum engine speed of 16.6 rpm, gearbox output rotation of 28 rpm, rotation of the knife shaft 27 rpm, the value of the force on the count of 9.8 N, the pulley rotation of 1200 rpm, the ratio of the chain rotation speed of 1.037 and the number of connected sprockets. the gearbox has 46 teeth, while the sprocket connected to the blade shaft has 44 teeth. So that the resulting engine capacity is 1.02 kg/hour. In addition to the results of machine calculations, machine validation tests were also carried out that for the engine design assessment of 81.25% with very good criteria, engine function of 91.6% with very good criteria, while the calculation of machine capacity was 85% with very good criteria.

Abstract

Egg Incubator is a tool that helps the process of hatching eggs. With the egg incubator then the eggs can be hatched without going through the incubation process by the help of the parent. Hatching eggs in principle is to provide a suitable environment so that poultry eggs can hatch. This Egg Incubator aims to increase hatching power with an automatic egg screening system and digital temperature control. With the incubator is able to increase the percentage of success ranges from 80-85% in the process of hatching eggs. In the research of automatic Egg Incubator design with temperature grader CPU casing fan with a capacity of 25 this method used is the method of R&D(research and development). This study authors use a type of digital thermostat that aims to set the temperature stability in accordance with the provisions. Testing tools using descriptive method by asking some questions or questionnaires to the validator. The results of this study obtained the test results of several components and the time required to hatch eggs. The average required component testing shows good performance. While the average testing percentage of hatching eggs showed 82.5%. In the feasibility test and functional tools will be validated by Mr / Ms lecturer (validator). The average amount of percentage tested by validator 1 and validator 2 is 93.5% for feasibility testing. While functional testing the average amount of presntase tested by validator 1 and validator 2 is 93%. So the results of the feasibility and functional testing of the tool validated by 2 validators on the tool are categorized as very good.
