AMBASSADORS: Jurnal Teologi dan Pendidikan Kristiani adalah forum publikasi ilmiah yang memuat hasil penelitian dalam bidang Teologi dan Pendidikan Kristiani. Jurnal ini diterbitkan oleh Sekolah Tinggi Teologi Indonesia Manado dan ditujukan bagi para dosen, peneliti, serta akademisi dari berbagai institusi yang memiliki minat dalam pengembangan kajian teologi dan pendidikan Kristiani. Jurnal AMBASSADORS terbit dua kali dalam setahun, pada bulan Juni dan Desember, serta menerapkan sistem double-blind peer review untuk menjamin kualitas publikasi. Jurnal AMBASSADORS berfokus pada kajian teologi yang mengintegrasikan berbagai perspektif kontemporer dan interdisipliner guna mengupas makna serta relevansi teologi dalam konteks modern. Selain itu, jurnal ini juga mengeksplorasi dinamika dan tantangan dalam Pendidikan Kristiani, termasuk isu-isu yang muncul dalam era digital serta dalam masyarakat yang semakin multikultural. Melalui pendekatan yang berbasis penelitian ilmiah, Jurnal AMBASSADORS bertujuan untuk menjadi wadah refleksi teologis yang dapat memperkaya wawasan akademik dan memberikan kontribusi nyata bagi dunia teologi dan pendidikan Kristiani.

Abstract

Conflicts often occur in God's congregation, whether between leaders and leaders, congregations and leaders or between fellow congregations. If the problem is not handled properly, it can damage the fellowship of God's congregation and can even result in division. The purpose of writing this article is to find out the attitude of Jesus who humbled himself in Philippians 2:8-11 which Paul used to advise God's church in Philippi who were facing problems. The method used in this research is the library method. In this study, it was found that Jesus deliberately took the attitude of humbling himself as low as a servant until he experienced death on the cross, in which death was the most disgusting and shameful death of any death. If every leader and congregation of God follows the example of Jesus who humbled himself, of course, every problem that often arises in the fellowship can be resolved properly.

Abstract

Obedience to the Law was seen as an important part of religious life in Jewish society. Thus everyone cannot be separated from the demand for obedience to the Law, because Obedience to the Law in Judaism is very closely related to the concept of Justification (dikaios). Therefore, belief is justified based on obedience to the Law, has been entrenched in the life of the Jewish community in general, thus influencing the attitudes and behavior of the Jews towards God and His Torah from generations. The presence and teachings of the Lord Jesus received great rejection from Judaism, the presence and teachings of Jesus were considered as distorting the truth or misleading. The investigation in this paper will include Biblical Studies, namely obtaining a proper, adequate and solid understanding of a text by taking into account the position of the interpreter as a third party, so as to produce the actual truth to fulfill the purpose of the writing

Abstract

There are two main problems when Servants of God face suffering. 1) they are the source of problem; 2) they respond it by retaliating for the unfair action. This is different from Peter’s statement that said, “For it is a grace if a person is knowingly bear the suffering he does not have to.” In researching for this discussion, the interpretation method of the epistles are used, namely, the historical and cultural background of the text and the explanation based on the structure of the text. This point related to the theme of the epistle of Peter 1 which has the background of suffering because of injustice, and also related to a slave who shows that he belongs to his master. Slaves are suffering from injustice, but Christ has set an example for the suffering of injustice. In addition, the work of Christ on the cross also has aimed for the people to die to sin and live for righteousness. To die to sin is to live by doing good things, and to live for righteousness is to be given the ability to endure the suffering of injustice. For Christ’s example is universal, then God’s ministers are also should die to sin, given the ability to live in righteousness and not suffer by their own mistakes. The purpose of this research is to see abilty of the servant of God when endure the suffering of injustice.

Abstract

Gereja Kemah Injil Indonesia implements holy marriages and Christian marriages and in it pastoral care is needed so that marriage services can be carried out according to God's Word and Church regulations. Pastoral services or pastoral care that will be discussed in this section, are not pastoral care that has been implemented in the Sintang GKII, because the Sintang GKII does not yet have standard pastoral care for prospective couples who will marry in the church. Couples who do not meet the requirements of "Holy Marriage" according to GKII regulations can choose to marry with the type of "Christian Marriage" where on average each couple is married without prior premarital guidance. The methodology of this research is historical research by conducting direct interviews with key informants as eye witnesses of historical events. Through this research, we will explore history so that it can be a lesson for the next generation. Pastoral Marriage at GKII Sintang in a Christian Perspective is a form of service in the form of an evaluative descriptive study on the pastoral implementation of marriage, both premarital and pastoral in marriage. May it be able to contribute to pastors and church leaders in carrying out pastoral care at marriage.
