Abstract

In the digital era, social media plays a crucial role in product promotion, especially in the culinary sector such as meatball stalls. This activity aims to optimize the use of social media as a promotional tool for meatball shop owners through training and mentoring. The activity method consists of observation, in-depth interviews, and social media content analysis. The service results show a significant increase in stall owners' knowledge of digital marketing strategies, which is reflected in their ability to create interesting content and better interactions with consumers. Implementing social media strategies also results in significant increases in consumer engagement and sales turnover, as well as customer loyalty. These findings show that social media training not only improves the competency of stall owners, but also contributes to the growth of small businesses, encouraging sustainability and competitiveness in an increasingly competitive market.

Abstract

Anemia during pregnancy remains a significant public health concern, affecting both maternal and fetal health. Adequate intake of prebiotic foods has been suggested as a strategy to improve intestinal health and enhance iron absorption, thereby contributing to anemia prevention. This study aimed to improve pregnant women’s knowledge about prebiotic food sources as a preventive measure against anemia. The intervention employed interactive educational sessions, including lectures, discussions, and demonstrations on the consumption of prebiotic foods. Participants were pregnant women registered at local community health posts or healthcare facilities. Knowledge levels were assessed using structured questionnaires before and after the intervention. The pre-test results indicated that nearly half of the participants (48%) had low knowledge, while only 16% demonstrated high knowledge. Following the educational intervention, knowledge improved significantly, with 68% of participants achieving a high knowledge level and only 8% remaining in the low category. These findings indicate that targeted educational programs on prebiotic food consumption effectively enhance pregnant women’s understanding of anemia prevention. Increasing awareness and knowledge about prebiotic foods can encourage healthier dietary practices, ultimately contributing to a reduction in anemia prevalence during pregnancy.

Abstract

The ability to process and analyze statistical data is an essential skill for Accounting Education students, particularly in the preparation of quantitative research. However, most students are still limited to the use of common statistical software, necessitating mastery of more comprehensive applications such as STATA. This community service activity aims to improve students' understanding and skills in using STATA through socialization and practice-based training. The implementation methods included preparation, opening and socialization, core training, group discussions and case studies, evaluation, and preparation of reports and publications. The activity was attended by fifth-semester Accounting Education students at Makassar State University. The evaluation results showed an increase in participants' understanding and ability to operate STATA. This activity had a tangible impact on improving student competency and supporting the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, particularly community service. It is recommended that similar training be conducted continuously with more in-depth coverage of statistical analysis material.

The methodology employed in this research is a participatory qualitative approach, combining observation, interviews, and training activities. The website development was conducted collaboratively with village officials to ensure alignment with local needs, while the logo design education was delivered through workshops that included practical sessions on design software usage and creative idea development.
