Abstract

Allah SWT sent down the Shari'a through Rasulallah SAW to be conveyed to his people. Shariat contains laws that govern human life. Without the rule of law, human life will be damaged by following their own desires. The existence of shariat is for the benefit of human life on earth. Shariat in its development experiences a fusion of meanings, namely shariat in the broad sense and shariat in the narrow sense, shariat in the narrow sense is what is desired by the term fiqh or we are familiar with the term Islamic law. Islamic law has its own characteristics that differentiate it from wadh'i law. Islamic law pays close attention to the human condition and its benefits while maintaining moral values ​​and adapting to the times. The implications of Islamic law are not limited to worldly affairs but also ukhrawi. Abstrak Allah Swt. menurunkan shariat melalui Rasulallah SAW untuk disampaikan kepada umatnya. Dalam shariat terkandung hukum-hukum yang mengatur kehidupan manusia. Tanpa adanya aturan hukum, kehidupan manusia akan rusak karena mengikuti hawa nafsunya masing-masing. Keberadaan shariat adalah untuk kemaslahatan hidup manusia di muka bumi. Shariat dalam perkembangannya mengalami peleburan makna, yaitu shariat dalam arti luas dan shariat dalam arti sempit, shariat dalam arti sempit inilah yang dikehendaki dengan istilah fiqh atau kita kenal dengan istilah hukum Islam. Hukum Islam memiliki ciri khas tersendiri yang membedakan dengan hukum wadh’i. Hukum Islam sangat memperhatikan kondisi manusia dan kemaslahatannya dengan tetap memelihara nilai moralitas dan beradaptasi dengan perkembangan zaman. Implikasi hukum Islam tidak terbatas hanya pada urusan duniawi melainkan juga ukhrawi.
