Abstract

This study explores the complex interplay of psychological, emotional, and cultural factors in succession planning within family businesses, aiming to provide insights and strategies for effective leadership transitions. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, integrating qualitative interviews with family business leaders and quantitative surveys of 300 family businesses. This design allows for a comprehensive analysis of the determinants of successful succession planning. The findings highlight the critical roles of psychological readiness and emotional commitment in succession processes. Leaders' willingness to relinquish control and successors' emotional investment were pivotal for smooth transitions. Cultural differences also significantly influenced succession practices, with Western businesses favoring formalized, merit-based approaches and Eastern businesses emphasizing family harmony. The study underscores the importance of continuous succession planning and inclusive decision-making processes. The study's insights inform practical strategies for family business owners, advisors, and policymakers. Emphasizing early involvement and mentorship, culturally sensitive practices, and continuous planning can enhance the effectiveness of succession planning, ensuring the long-term sustainability of family businesses.

Abstract

This comprehensive study delves into the intricate dynamics of global supply chain management, aiming to uncover prevailing trends, challenges, and strategies embraced by organizations. Through meticulous examination of qualitative and quantitative data, the research builds upon previous works by Christopher (2016), Ferdows et al. (2017), and Pagell and Shevchenko (2014), emphasizing the impact of market fluctuations, technological innovations, and sustainability principles. The study reveals the accelerating adoption of technologies like blockchain, IoT, and AI, reshaping traditional supply chain processes and driving operational efficiency. Despite technological advancements, organizations face challenges including market volatility, supplier reliability, logistical complexities, and sustainability imperatives. To address these challenges, collaborative approaches and sustainability integration emerge as crucial strategies, echoing findings from Mentzer et al. (2018) and Gold et al. (2010). The implications highlight the necessity for organizations to adapt to technological advancements, foster collaboration, and integrate sustainability into supply chain strategies to navigate complexities and foster resilience in the global market.

Abstract

This study examines entry mode strategies within multinational enterprises (MNEs) through a comprehensive literature analysis, aiming to elucidate the dynamic nature of the global business landscape and its implications for strategic management. Utilizing a blend of quantitative and qualitative methodologies alongside theoretical frameworks such as transaction cost economics and the eclectic paradigm, the research explores factors influencing entry mode selection and execution across diverse international markets. Findings highlight the critical role of strategic agility and adaptability in effectively navigating regulatory environments, cultural nuances, and competitive dynamics. Strategic alliances, partnerships, and collaborative networks emerge as pivotal mechanisms for MNEs to harness external resources, mitigate risks, and capitalize on emerging opportunities. Moreover, digital technologies are increasingly vital in facilitating seamless coordination and customization of entry-mode strategies, empowering MNEs to respond swiftly to evolving market conditions. The study underscores the importance of aligning entry mode strategies with organizational objectives and market dynamics, emphasizing the need for MNEs to balance global integration with local responsiveness. Abstract

This study investigates the impact of Management Information Systems (MIS) on organizational decision-making efficiency. It aims to explore how MIS enhances decision-making processes by providing real-time data and comprehensive analytics, aligning with organizational goals, and leveraging advanced technologies like AI and cloud computing. The research employs a mixed-method approach, combining qualitative and quantitative data. Surveys were conducted among senior managers and IT professionals across various sectors to gather insights into MIS's practical applications and challenges. Additionally, a review of theoretical frameworks, such as the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the Resource-Based View (RBV), was undertaken to contextualize the empirical findings. The findings reveal that MIS significantly enhances decision-making efficiency by providing timely and relevant information. Real-time data capabilities and advanced analytics enable managers to make informed decisions quickly, improving organizational agility and responsiveness. Empirical evidence suggests that organizations with integrated and strategically aligned MIS report higher decision accuracy and speed. However, the effectiveness of MIS is contingent on contextual factors like organizational culture and user proficiency. Integrating AI-driven analytics and cloud computing further amplifies MIS capabilities, though continuous technological updates are necessary to maintain system relevance and effectiveness. The study underscores the critical role of MIS in modern business environments, emphasizing the need for strategic alignment and integration with organizational goals. Organizations should invest in advanced MIS technologies, comprehensive training programs, and robust data governance practices for optimal outcomes. These investments are crucial for leveraging MIS to enhance decision-making efficiency, fostering more agile and competitive organizations.
