Abstract

Background: The development of modern management and business science cannot be separated from interdisciplinary interactions and the complexity of global challenges. From classical management theories of the 1960s to the modern era of artificial intelligence (AI) and global crises, both academia and practitioners are increasingly required to adopt an integrative approach. Challenges in digital marketing, financial literacy, economic disruption, and human resource (HR) management demand the unification of diverse perspectives to build a more adaptive and relevant management framework. Objective: This article aims to summarize and synthesize findings from seven key scientific articles to present cross-issue perspectives and approaches that enrich contemporary management theory and practice. This synthesis is expected to identify new integrative patterns that can serve as a conceptual reference for the development of context-based and technology-driven management. Method: A descriptive qualitative approach was used in the form of a literature review of seven scientific articles from reputable international journals, covering topics such as management theory, digital marketing, financial behavior, responses to global crises, and HR systems. Results: The synthesis of the seven articles presented highlights the significant contributions of various management disciplines to modern management. This synthesis connects theory and practice, ranging from classical approaches like Koontz to cutting-edge technologies like AI in marketing. Furthermore, managerial approaches need to be tailored to actual situations and needs, such as in financial education, global policy, and HR management. Overall, this synthesis reflects the importance of cross-scale and cross-disciplinary perspectives—integrating aspects of psychology, technology, economics, and human resources—to form a more comprehensive management framework that is relevant to today's challenges. Conclusion: The synthesis of these seven articles demonstrates that modern management requires cross-disciplinary integration to address the challenges of the digital era, global crises, and organizational transformation. The resulting framework supports the need for management that is adaptive, contextual, and technology-based, while also affirming the importance of harmonizing theory, practice, and the dynamic realities of contemporary organizations.

Abstract

This study analyzes the causes of the Sriwijaya Air SJ-182 plane crash that occurred on January 9, 2021, in the Thousand Islands area, from the perspective of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH). This qualitative study employs a literature review method, utilizing data from official reports by the National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT), academic journals, and credible media sources. The findings reveal that the accident resulted from a combination of technical factors, such as autothrottle failure; human factors, including the crew’s unpreparedness to respond to malfunctions; and organizational factors, such as inadequate training and weak oversight. These findings indicate gaps in the implementation of OSH principles within the aviation sector. Therefore, this study highlights the importance of comprehensive OSH application in all aspects of flight operations. The proposed policy recommendations include enhancing crew training quality, conducting regular and thorough aircraft maintenance, and strengthening risk-based decision-making systems. The implementation of these measures is expected to prevent similar incidents in the future and to improve aviation safety standards in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a fault-tolerant neuromorphic computing system for tsunami early detection in Indonesia’s small islands, which face significant limitations in energy and network infrastructure. The research was conducted over a three-month period (January–March 2025) using a simulated experimental approach with ocean wave data obtained from BMKG and NOAA. The system model was designed using a Spiking Neural Network (SNN) that mimics biological neuron activity to adaptively recognize ocean wave anomaly patterns. Simulation results show a detection accuracy rate of 94%, maintaining stable performance above 85% even under 25% signal interference. Furthermore, the system’s power consumption was recorded at only 0.42 watts—approximately 40–60% more efficient than conventional CNN-based models. The implications of this study include scientific contributions to the development of adaptive and energy-efficient artificial intelligence, as well as practical benefits for agencies such as BMKG and BNPB in designing autonomous and resilient tsunami early warning systems for remote and underdeveloped regions. In the future, this system has the potential to serve as a prototype for edge computing–based disaster mitigation solutions powered by artificial intelligence, particularly relevant for archipelagic nations.
