Abstract

This study investigates the interplay between the folk religion of the Dani people in Baliem Village, Papua, and its potential to inform a local theology that supports contextual ministry. By applying an ethnotheological framework, the research examines how Dani cultural and religious beliefs—particularly those enshrined in the Nabelan-Kabelan and Naruekul mythologies—can serve as a foundation for contextual evangelism. Through qualitative methods, including ethnographic fieldwork and content analysis of relevant literature, this study identifies key elements of Dani folk religion that either hinder or facilitate the integration of Christian teachings within Dani society. The findings highlight the intricate relationship between indigenous spirituality and Christian ethics, suggesting that a contextualised approach to ministry is crucial for effective evangelism among the Dani people. The paper concludes by offering recommendations for the development of contextual ministry strategies that engage with the Dani’s cultural and theological worldview.

Abstract

Marital rape is sexual violence that occurs in the domestic realm or more precisely in the personal realm between husband and wife, it is rarely paid attention to by the public so that the victim feels alone and isolated due to the impact that the victim feels because if he tells other people the victim feels this is a serious problem. sensitive and private. So the impact that the victim feels holistically is physical, mental, social and spiritual. holistically so as to be able to reorganize household life properly. This research uses a pastoral counseling case study, the data in this research was obtained through observation, interviews and verbatim with women victims of marital rape in Warukapas Village, North Minahasa. The research results show that women who are victims of marital rape do not yet understand the act of marital rape even though they have experienced it. The causal factors include the husband's uncontrolled behavior and lust due to being influenced by alcohol, there is cultural influence regarding sexual obligations that the wife is expected to comply with, as well as economic dependence so that the victim woman is reluctant to resist her husband's coercion. The impact experienced by victims of sexual violence is mild, such as through verbal abuse through curses from their husbands, to experiencing severe sexual violence such as experiencing beatings, detention and being forced to have sexual relations. In this study, researchers conducted pastoral counseling conversations (PKP) with subjects using an integrative approach to the core subject cases. So it is hoped that the approach and methods in this research can provide recommendations and education to prevent acts of marital rape.

Abstract

A Pastor's child is the child of a public figure where the pastor figure is respected and seen by many people, including the congregation. This depiction shows that a pastor is highly respected and held in high esteem by his congregation, as is the case with a pastor's child. The Pastor's son must maintain the good name of his family, which in fact is the Pastor. This makes him inevitably have to follow the same good qualities as his parents. A Pastor's child is a child born to a respected figure among the congregation. This kind of view actually shows that the Pastor's child is known to the congregation and also to the Pastors who are colleagues in ministry. So it is certain that a good attitude not to embarrass parents is important for a pastor's child. There are teenagers who are children of Pastors who say that their parents do not force them to behave like their parents, but the pressure of social and cultural views regarding Pastors is very strongly embedded in the life of society (congregation). Based on the public's view which states that the Pastor is an authoritative and well-known figure among the congregation and ultimately this view is given to teenagers who are the Pastor's children. Sometimes the congregation demands a lot so that the teenager will do what the congregation wants. Like it or not, they have to follow the existing rules in congregational life so that teenagers feel they are not free to express themselves.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the importance of mental well-being and work stress management in PT. Pratama Cemerlang Rays. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this research analyzes working conditions in companies, factors that cause stress, and the role of pastoral counseling in supporting employee welfare. Data was collected through observation and in-depth interviews with employees. Research findings show that work pressure, excessive workload, and interpersonal conflict are the main causes of work stress in companies. Additionally, inadequate company policies in addressing employee mental well-being exacerbate the situation. Pastoral counseling has been proven to be effective in providing emotional and spiritual support, helping employees overcome work stress and increasing productivity. The results of this research show the important role of management in creating a healthy and supportive work environment, as well as integrating a pastoral counseling approach as part of the company's stress management strategy.
