Jounal of Contemporary Indonesian Islam (JCII) is a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal published by the Postgraduate Program of UIN Sultanah Nahrasiyah Lhokseumawe, Aceh, Indonesia. The journal is published twice a year (June and December) both in online and printed versions. JCII is committed to providing a scholarly platform for the dissemination of original research articles, reviews, and critical essays on Islamic studies and humanities with a particular emphasis on the dynamics of Indonesian and contemporary Muslim societies. The journal aims to foster academic dialogue and advance interdisciplinary approaches in understanding Islam in various contexts. Focus and Scope The focus of JCII is on contemporary studies of Islam and their intersections with humanities and social sciences. The scope includes, but is not limited to, the following areas: Islamic Theology and Philosophy (ʿAqīdah, Kalām, and Islamic thought) Islamic Law and Society (Sharīʿah, contemporary fatwa studies, Islamic legal institutions) Islamic Economics and Finance (Sharia-based economic practices, financial inclusion, and development) Qur’anic and Hadith Studies (exegesis, hermeneutics, textual and contextual analysis) Education and Da‘wah Studies (Islamic pedagogy, higher education, religious propagation) Cultural and Historical Studies (Islam in Indonesian history, traditions, art, and local wisdom) Sociology and Anthropology of Islam (religious practices, identity, community studies) Literature, Philology, and Linguistics related to Islamic and Indonesian contexts Library and Information Science in relation to Islamic scholarship and digital humanities Publication Ethics JCII upholds the highest standards of academic integrity and follows strict peer-review procedures. Abstract

The right model will determine the achievement of the quality of learning. The use of practical, effective and fun models will be able to foster student activity in teaching and learning activities. Therefore, this study aims: To describe what are the learning models of Islamic religious education in the practice of ablution at SMPN 4 Bandar Baro Pidie Jaya. Qualitative research method, descriptive approach. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation. The results showed that: The learning models used by Islamic Religious Education teachers in the practice of ablution include discovery learning with a scientific approach, problem-based learning, contextual teaching and learning, laboratory-based learning models, and demonstration methods.

Abstract

This thesis discusses the ethics of student learning according to Syaikh Muhammad Syakir in the book Waṣāyā al-Ᾱbā’ Lil Abnā and its Relevance in the Current Context. Habituation of learning ethics is very important for students to be familiar with the ethics of learning to gain knowledge that is blessing and beneficial. This study aims to explain the ethics of student learning according to Syaikh Muhammad Syakir described in Waṣāyā al-Ᾱbā’ Lil Abnā and its relevance in the current context. Research method used is qualitative with a character study approach.  The result of the research is to divide student learning ethics into four parts: self-study ethics, learning ethics towards lessons, learning ethics towards teachers, and learning ethics towards friends. The four divisions are still relevant and need to be applied in the current context. In addition, student learning ethics also involve the use of technology wisely and responsibly, including utilizing accurate learning resources while maintaining their integrity. So, it is important for students to learn and apply learning ethics in their daily lives.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explain andragogy education contained in al-Kahf verses 70-82, and to describe the implementation of andragogy education contained in sura al-Kahfi verses 70-82 in Islamic education in the contemporary era. Literary qualitative research using the mawdhūi method with primary data sources of interpretations of Tarbawi, al-Maraghi, Munir, and secondary data sources of books and journals in andragogy education and Islamic education. The results of the research are 1) andragogy education in al-Kahfi verses 70-82 of the prophet Khidir as an educator has good physical and spiritual abilities in teaching the prophet Musa, Prophet Musa as a student has academic ethics towards teachers, ethics of dialogue, there is educational value and already applied. 2) Application of andragogy education in al-Kahfi verses 70-82 in the present era or the era of information and communication technology, namely the method of providing convenience, the question and answer method, the demonstration method, the Targhib wa Tarhib method, the evaluation method and games combined using the Youtube application, video conference, Voice note, Google slide, Padlet, Google Form, Google Jamboard, Ideaboardz, Webex meet, targib wa tarhib, Quizizz, Kahoot and Mentimeter, visual, audio and visual audio based technologies can be applied

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of Abdullah Nashih 'Ulwan's concept of moral education in shaping the character of students at SMP Negeri 2 Kuta Blang Bireuen.  The formation of noble morals through character education should be able to form commendable behaviors and noble morals in students. the type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive research approach. The purpose of this research is to explain the concept of Akhlak Education Abdullah Nashih 'Ulwan. The results of this study indicate that. 1) The concept of Abdullah Nashih 'Ulwan's moral education used is education by example, education by habituation, education by advice, education by attention and monitoring and education by appropriate punishment. 2) The implementation of Abdullah Nashih 'Ulwan's five concepts of moral education is carried out during the teaching and learning process, extracurricular activities and all the time when students are at school, the efforts made by teachers in implementing the concept of 'Ulwan's moral education are teachers coming to school on time, greeting kindly when students come, giving good advice, paying attention to student conditions and giving proper punishment if students make mistakes.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education is a conscious and planned effort in teaching and learning activities to prepare students to develop potential through guiding, training and directing activities and practicing as an effort to achieve the unity of the National Education Curriculum, especially for children with special needs. therefore, in this study want to examine (1) how the planning of PAI teachers in learning Islamic Religious Education in Learning Ablution Practices of children with special needs at SLB Negeri Pembina Bener Meriah; (2) Teaching methods of PAI teachers in Learning Ablution Practices of children with special needs at SLB Negeri Pembina Bener Meriah. This research uses case study research with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the research obtained: (1) planning done by PAI teachers in learning ablution practices in children with special needs in SLB Negeri Pembina Bener Meriah is referring to the curriculum and vision and mission of national education by preparing lesson plans and learning methods that are in accordance with the characteristics of the needs of children with special needs; (2) The methods used in learning ablution practices in children with special needs in SLB Negeri Pembina Bener Meriah are for children with Down syndrome using one task behavior method, children with tunagrahita and tunadaksa using lecture and demonstration methods

Abstract

The number of phenomena of memorizing the Qur'an only focuses on pursuing memorization targets, but often causes unqualified memorization obtained and even pronunciation and reading are not in accordance with the rules of tajdweed science and to be able to help elementary school students focus more and make it easier to memorize and strengthen memorization of the Qur'an. So that the Ummi and Kaisa methods are applied in memorizing the Qur'an at SDN 1 Sawang North Aceh to meet the school’s goal that students are interested in memorizing the Qur'an with good memorization accompanied by the ability to read the correct Qur'an according to tajweed science. This study consists of several problem formulations, namely: Discussing how the design, application and factors that support and hinder the memorization of the Qur'an at SDN 1 Sawang North Aceh. The research method taken in this thesis is a qualitative approach. So that the results of the research in this thesis can be known that in the process of designing and applying the Ummi and Kaisa Methods to the Qur'an memorization activities have achieved the set targets, although they have faced several obstacles. With details, the first-grade memorization target is 14 Surahs in 1 Semester. Of the total number of students in the Tahfidz class I group, namely 29 students, only 2 people did not meet the target (namely 11 surahs and 13 surahs). As for the Tahfidz class II group consisting of 24 students, all students have reached the memorization target set, namely 20 surahs in 1 semester. From these results, it is hoped that this research can be used as reference material for researchers who will conduct further studies on interesting Qur'an memorization activities using the Ummi and Kaisa methods
