Abstract

Inflation remains a persistent macroeconomic challenge that directly affects household welfare, particularly among low-income populations in urban areas. This study aims to analyze the impact of inflation on purchasing power among low-income households by synthesizing empirical evidence from cross-country studies. A qualitative systematic review approach was employed using recent peer-reviewed articles, reports, and repositories. The findings indicate that inflation significantly reduces real income, alters consumption patterns, and increases economic vulnerability. Households tend to prioritize essential goods while reducing expenditures on non-essential items, leading to declining living standards. The study also finds that inflation disproportionately affects low-income groups due to their limited financial resilience and higher expenditure share on necessities. These results highlight the importance of targeted policy interventions such as income support, price stabilization, and social protection programs. The study contributes to the literature by providing a comparative analysis of inflation impacts across different urban contexts.

Abstract

Digital transformation has reshaped the service sector by integrating advanced technologies into business processes. This study aims to analyze the impact of digital transformation on labor productivity in the service sector across different economic contexts. The research applies a qualitative systematic literature review approach using recent empirical studies published between 2021 and 2025. The findings indicate that digital transformation significantly improves labor productivity through process automation, data-driven decision making, and enhanced communication efficiency. Studies show that productivity gains are more pronounced in high-income economies due to better technological infrastructure and human capital readiness. However, challenges such as digital inequality, workforce skill gaps, and organizational adaptation remain critical barriers. The study also finds that digital transformation shifts labor demand toward high-skilled workers, thereby influencing employment structures. This research contributes to the literature by synthesizing cross-country evidence and highlighting the mechanisms linking digital transformation and productivity. The findings provide practical implications for policymakers and firms to design strategies that maximize productivity gains while addressing structural challenges in the service sector.

Abstract

Digitalization has become a critical driver of economic transformation, particularly in emerging markets where small and medium enterprises (SMEs) play a central role in economic development. This study aims to analyze the impact of digitalization on SME competitiveness by synthesizing empirical evidence from recent academic literature. The research adopts a qualitative systematic literature review approach, examining peer-reviewed journal articles published between 2023 and 2025. The findings indicate that digitalization significantly enhances SME competitiveness through improved operational efficiency, market expansion, innovation capability, and customer engagement. However, structural barriers such as limited digital infrastructure, low digital literacy, and regulatory constraints hinder optimal adoption. The study also finds that digital strategy and innovation act as mediating factors that strengthen the relationship between digital adoption and firm performance. The results highlight the importance of integrated policy frameworks and strategic digital capabilities in fostering sustainable competitive advantages. This research contributes to the literature by providing a comprehensive synthesis of digital transformation impacts in emerging economies and offers practical implications for policymakers and SME stakeholders.

Abstract

Fintech innovation has emerged as a key driver of transformation in financial service institutions in the digital era. This study aims to analyze the role of fintech innovations in reshaping financial institutions, focusing on operational efficiency, financial inclusion, and competitive dynamics. The research employs a qualitative approach using a systematic literature review (SLR) of 25 recent scholarly publications from 2021–2025. The findings indicate that fintech innovations, including blockchain, artificial intelligence, digital payments, and peer-to-peer lending, significantly improve service efficiency, reduce operational costs, and enhance customer experience. However, the transformation also introduces challenges such as cybersecurity risks, regulatory gaps, and data privacy concerns. The study highlights that traditional financial institutions must adopt digital transformation strategies and collaborative models with fintech firms to remain competitive. The research contributes to the theoretical understanding of digital financial transformation and provides practical insights for policymakers and industry stakeholders.

Abstract

Digital transformation has become a critical driver of productivity growth among Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the digital economy era. This study aims to analyze the empirical relationship between digital transformation and SME productivity by synthesizing recent scholarly literature and applying a systematic analytical approach. The research adopts a qualitative systematic literature review method based on 30 peer-reviewed journal articles published between 2021 and 2025. The findings indicate that digital transformation significantly improves SME productivity through operational efficiency, innovation capability, resource allocation optimization, and enhanced customer engagement. The analysis reveals that digital tools such as e-commerce, cloud computing, fintech, and digital marketing contribute to process automation and data-driven decision-making. However, the results also show persistent barriers, including low digital literacy, infrastructure limitations, financial constraints, and cybersecurity risks. The study concludes that digital transformation positively influences productivity when supported by organizational readiness, technological capability, and policy support. This research provides theoretical contributions by integrating productivity and digital transformation frameworks and offers practical implications for policymakers and SME managers to design structured digital adoption strategies in emerging economies.
