Abstract

Providing assistance for individuals with visual impairments can be done by everyone, it's just that in practice it is not in accordance with the right-sighted guide techniques. This research aims to develop the Ajak Mobility application to provide information about various appropriate sighted guide techniques. The research uses the ADDIE development model which consists of stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Application, and Evaluation. The results of the study stated that the Ajak Mobility Application had been developed according to the needs analysis with good and excellent validation results and trial results with very good assessment results. The Ajak mobility application that has gone through a validation and trial process is expected to be an informative application that individuals use to find out how to provide appropriate assistance based on the right-sighted guide techniques to individuals with visual impairments.

Abstract

Abstrak: Siswa tunantera memiliki keterbatasan dalam melihat, mereka sering dianggap sebagai orang yang tidak berdaya, lemah, dan sering mendapat perlakuan deskriminatif. Beberapa masalah yang dialami oleh siswa tunanetra sendiri yaitu sering merasa tidak punya harapan dalam baca dan tulis, menolak untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi, dan memiliki keterbatasan dalam mengembangkan potensi dan kualitas akademik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan literasi informasi pada siswa tunanetra. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Analisis data menggunakan Interpretative phenomenology Analysis. Partisipan yang terlibat dalam penelitian berjumlah 4 siswa tunanetra yang sekolah di SLB Prof. Sri Soedewi Masjchun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa literasi informasi siswa tunanetra di SLB Prof. Sri Soedewi Jambi diantaranya yaitu;  pembelajaran dengan audio, mencatat, memberi tugas, belajar per kalimat secara detail. Memiliki kemampuan tulis dan baca, berhitung, serta  mengakses informasi dengan internet. Memanfaatkan fasilitas literasi khusus tunanetra. Belajar keterampilan berupa musik dan pengobatan tradisional.Kata Kunci: Literasi Informasi, siswa tunanetra, kemampuan membaca Abstract: Students with visual impairments have limited vision who are seen as helpless, weak, and often receive discriminatory treatment. Problems experienced by blind students are feeling hopeless in reading and writing, unwilling to improve literacy skills, and having limitations in further advancing academic potential and quality. This study aims to determine a information literacy skill at blind students of a special. The method used is a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Data analysis uses the Interpretative Phenomenology Analysis. The participants involved in the research were 4 blind students who study at SLB Prof. Sri Soedewi Masjchun. The results show that the information literacy of SLB Prof. Sri Soedewi Jambi's blind students include; learning using audios, taking notes, doing assignments, and learning sentences in detail. They have writing and reading skills, are able to count and access information on the internet. They utilize special literacy facilities for the blind. They learn musical skills and traditional medicine.Keywords: information literacy; blins student; reading skill

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk bahan ajar komunikasi non verbal bagi guru yang yang efektif dalam pembelajaran peserta didik down syndrome fase A. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE, yang terdiri atas tahapan analisis kebutuhan, merancang produk, mengembangkan produk, menerapkan atau melakukan uji coba produk, dan evaluasi produk bahan ajar yang dikembangkan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah dua orang guru SLB N 1 Yogyakarta, 3 orang guru SLB N Pembina Yogyakarta, satu orang guru SLB N 1 Bantul. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produk bahan ajar yang dikembangkan efektif digunakan setelah dilakukan uji efektivitas melalui tes pemahaman guru yang menghasilkan rerata peningkatan sebesar 30%, dan tes unjuk kerja yang dilakukan oleh peserta didik down syndrome yang menghasilkan rerata peningkatan sebesar 42,17%. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa bahan ajar komunikasi non verbal efektif digunakan oleh guru dengan peserta didik down syndrome dalam mengajarkan komunikasi non verbal dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

A person with a disability has a higher risk of experiencing limited opportunities for employment and a higher rate of poverty. Deaf children are considered persons with disability, they are children with special needs characterized by loss of hearing function. In terms of deaf children's transition from school to the workplace, there's a necessity for them to gain vocational skills. Thus, teachers play an important role in providing support and mentoring to deaf children in determining their goals for college or work. This study aimed to describe how the transition process of deaf children from school to the workplace including the support they received from their teachers at school. This research used a qualitative descriptive approach. The main subjects of this research were deaf young adults who are currently employed at Sunyi Coffee. Data was collected through in-depth interviews and observations. In terms of data analysis, data reduction, data display, and generating a conclusion. The research findings showed that the two subjects have differences in the process of their transitioning from school to the workplace. The first subject received vocational training that matched his interest but applied to various types of jobs. The second subject's vocational training was not matched his interest but found a job that is suitable for his training.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research aims to find out the influence of rabbit dance learning to improve gross motor skills of children with mild mental retardation in Elementary Special School. The approachment that used in this research is a quantitative approach with a experiment Single Subject Research (SSR). The research design that used was A-B-A design with a total 3 sessions on Baseline-1 (A1), 7 sessions on intervention session (B), and 3 sessions on Baseline-2 (A2). The subjects of this research was a children with mild mental retardation in grade 4 elementary school at Elementary Special School. The data collection technique in this research was by observation, while the analysis technique that used descriptive statistical technique. The results of the research showed that rabbit dance learning can improve gross motor skills of children with mild mental retardation. The improvement was obtained from the results of the test instrument consisting of aspects strength, agility, speed, coordination and balance. The increase was shown in the change in mean level from Baseline-1, which is 50.3 to Baseline-2, which is 65.7. Based on the skor, the conclusion from this research that rabbit dance learning can improve gross motor skills of children with mild mental retardation at Elementary Special School.
