Abstract

Character education is perceived differently and has been implemented partially. In addition, its execution in classroom context seems to simply be on the concept level which later on leads to the ineffectiveness of the program. Therefore, a reference or guidance in the form of applicable curriculum is necessitated. The study seeks to create a model of an adaptive mutual curriculum that can provide a clear cut practical guidance for teachers in implementing character education and validates it. The mutual adaptive curriculum as the product of the study in its implementation is adjusted to contextual needs, real and existing condition, and adopted developmental requirements. The design and content of curriculum is designed and determined by the external contexts of teaching and learning. The adaptation is carried out in pre and whilst the process of the implementation. The design of mutual adaptive curriculum is actualized in the forms of objectives, content or materials, learning experiences, and evaluations which are realized in the form of curriculum manual and instructional materials and activities for students. Despite the weaknesses and the problems that the mutual adaptive curriculum has, it has in certain extent proven to be a validated model of curriculum in character education

Abstract

This study aims to determine the visionary leadership style, implementation of visionary leadership strategy of Primary Elementary School Muslimat NU Kudus District. This research uses qualitative approach of phenomenology. The study was conducted at the Primary Element of Muslimat NU Kudus. Data collection using interview techniques, observation, and documentation. Research subject is principal. Abstract

The purpose of study is to know the hoax and its impact for the community and how to counter hoax with the internalization of Islamic education. the research used is a qualitative descriptive method designed to collect information about ongoing situations. Hoax can be countered by the internalization of the value of Islamic education, technical there are two stages. First: the transformation of the value of Islamic education and the second is the applicative stage oriented to the improvement of attitudes and morals.

Abstract

This study is aimed at investigating directly management of MGMP Akidah Akhlak in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri in Kudus Regency. The formulated problems in this study are: 1) How is management of MGMP Akidah Akhlak in MTs Negeri in Kudus Regency in the academic year 2015/2016? 2) How are the efforts to improve Akidah Akhlak teachers’ professionalism in MTs Negeri in Kudus Regency in the academic year 2015/2016? 3) What are the roles of Akidah Akhlak teachers in fostering students’ morals in MTs Negeri in Kudus Regency in the academic year 2015/2016? This study used the qualitative method, namely a research method employed to research the objects’ conditions naturally, in which the researcher acted as a key instrument. Data collection employed the methods of interview, observation, documentation, and triangulation. The method of data analysis used a method developed by Miles and Huberman with three steps, namely data reduction, data presentation, drawing a conclusion, and verification. The stages in this study comprised: 1) the preparation stage, 2) the implementation stage, and 3) the report-making stage. Moreover, the study locations were in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri in Kudus Regency. The results of this study indicated that, 1). Management of MGMP Akidah Akhlak held in MTs Negeri in Kudus Regency can be explained as follows: a) MGMP Akidah Akhlak in MTs Negeri in Kudus is an association platform for Akidah Akhlak teachers in Kudus Regency which functions as a medium to communicate each other, learn and exchange ideas and experience to improve teachers’ performance as practitioners of learning-change in classrooms, b) with regard to program implementation of MGMP Akidah Akhlak in MTs Negeri in Kudus Regency, the expected results are that Akidah Akhlak teachers have the same perceptions and high commitments to improve their career collected in the activities of MGMP Akidah Akhlak, and are able to enhance motivation, frequency and intensity of career development activities. 2). The strategies in improving teachers’ professionalism and competence conducted by MGMP Akidah Akhlak in MTs Negeri in Kudus Regency are: a) through various strategies in the form of education and training, for instances, In house training (IHT) and school partnership, group discussion, seminar, workshop on writing teaching materials/books and developing learning media, b) conducting learning and teaching activities which involve lecturers, teaching colleagues, guide teachers, and principals. 3). Responsibility of Akidah Akhlak teachers is very close with instilling religious values in students. Therefore, Akidah Akhlak teachers must be competent and professional in the learning and teaching process.

Abstract

This research explains: (1) How problem of teachingIslamic education for affective domain in SMAN 1 Bae Kudus; (2) How theteachers’effort of islamic education for affective domain in SMAN 1 Bae Kudus 2017 Academic Year. This research uses qualitative approach. The study was conducted at SMAN 1 Bae Kudus. Data collection was done by interview, observation, and documentation. The data obtained is analyzed by data reduction measures, data presentation, and conclusions. The researcher collected the data while doing the analysis activity until the concluding. The results obtained in this research indicate that (1) Problematic in learning PAI affective domain at SMAN 1 Bae Kudus include: Students not aware of phenomenon, lack of attention, students less active in responding to the response, students have no confidence in value, The value becomes stable and active in itself, not able to internalize the value, the difficulty of controlling student development, teacher learning evaluation, and the influence of technological progress. (2) PAI teacher's efforts in overcoming problematic in affective learning include:Praying in beginning of learning, giving reprimand and satire, Teacher gives stimulus in the form of story, establishing closeness with student, applying method of discussion, inserting a story, applying method market place, Be a role model for students, transfering religious values intensively, organizing religious activities, provididing motivation, establishing communication between teachers, students, and parents, paying attention and observing learners’ behavior, and controlling the technological progress.

Abstract

This study examines the pattern of communication in the perspective of the Qur'an and implements the moral values in it within the scope of Islamic Higher Education, especially the reflection on the politeness of communication between students and lecturers. The method used is descriptive-qualitative, with the hermeneutic approach to understand the verses that contain the term communication, and analyze it with Islamic education approach to reflect it in the phenomenon of politeness of student and lecturer communication in the Islamic campus. The results show that the principles and ethics of communication in the Qur'an are in line with the theory of language politeness. The theory of linguistic politeness is used to photograph and measure the degree of politeness of student and lecturer communication. There are still language-linguistic inconsistencies to lecturers, and communication anxiety experienced by lecturers and students. Finally, both lecturers and students should re-internalize and implement ethical moral values to communicate well in accordance with the teachings of the Qur'an to realize the relationship of synergy and harmony, and prepare the generations of Qur'ani whose character is commendable.

Abstract

The issue of violent learning in Indonesia, one of them in the Special Province of Yogyakarta, has become a disturbing phenomenon in the last decade. Bullying is believed by some experts to be one of the root of the problem. There are three types of bullying, verbal, relational, and physical, but the most common is verbal abuse. Meanwhile, effective classroom management is one way that is believed to prevent and address the problem. One of the primary schools in Yogyakata city that has been quite successful in implementing this is the Tumbuh 3 Yogyakarta’s Elementary School (ES). This article discusses how the implementation of classroom management to prevent verbal abuse in Tumbuh 3 Yogyakarta’s ES. Through a case study with naturalistic approaches that collected data through in-depth interviews, moderate participant observation, and documentation found that implementation of classroom management to prevent verbal bullying in Tumbuh 3 Yogyakarta’s ES was conducted with an immediate response and a long-term response, anti-harassment with the application of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports.

Abstract

One of the problems faced by countries emerging is the number of people living in poverty. Therefore, poverty reduction a priority in the implementation of economic development. For Indonesia, the reduction of poverty is one measure of the success of development. Considering the number of the world's population in poverty, it is natural for poverty become an international problem. It proved , the PBB has set Millennium Development Goals ( MDGs ), where one of the goal is to reduce poverty . as a high-level conference participants millenium of PBB, Indonesia seriously to reduce the number of poor people to reach 50 % by 2015. Poverty is a complex issue, so that countermeasures need approaches from various aspects, whether economic, political and socio-cultural. One of the solutions is through educational activities entrepreneurship in order to change the mental attitude of dependence and to develop a work ethic, which is expected to foster self-reliance. Through the implementation of entrepreneurship education is expected to raise the awareness that to eliminate poverty must be taken through the productive work carried out by their own. Then, Prodi PGMI of Institut Pesantren Mathali’ul Falah intends to develop entrepreneurship in the curriculum design and learning experiences so that graduates can survive in his life later

Abstract

From political and regulatory viewpoints, the existence of Madrasahs as educational institutions get stronger with the issue of Regulation No. 2 Year 1989 and Regulation No. 20 Year 2003 and their derivative regulations. On the one hand, the regulations have helped facilitate the madrasahs get equal footing with public schools – even to some enjoy equal status  with public schools – and on the other hand, this new position confronts madrasahs with the challenges due to the fact that many of them have inferior resources. Conceptually, this Islamic boarding-based madrasah model is manifestation of divinity based education concept. Technically, this model adopt concept boarding school and/or full-day school. With this model, it is hoped that there will no more limitation of time to offer quality teaching and education. This model will not only let the madrasahs offer formal curriculum but hidden curriculum as well. Departing from the objective realities and the typology of madrasah aliyah in Kudus, the Islamic boarding-based madrasah as a model offered in this study is classified into three different models, i.e. Pesantren (Islamic boarding) madrasah, Pesantren Environment Madrasah, and Pesantren Values System Pesantren. As to implement these models, it is suggested that the madrasah will choose either one of the three which suits best to their contexts and capacities.
