Abstract

Abstract: The current study was intended to analyze the effect of teaching and learning strategies as well as the self-concept towards the motion creativity learning outcome of the third graders of elementary schools. The study utilized experimental method with 2 x 2 factorial design. By using random sampling technique, 32 students were chosen as the samples. The results of the study suggested that (1) there was score of motion creativity between the students who joined the inductive strategy from those who joined the deductive strategy, (2) students who had high self-concept performed better motion creativity when they joined inductive strategy, (3) students who had low self-concept performed better motion creativity when they joined deductive strategy, (4) there was an interaction effect of teaching and learning strategies as well as the self-concept towards the motion creativity learning outcome of the third graders of elementary schools.Keywords: motion creativity, teaching and learning strategy, self-concept, elementary schools.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji pengaruh strategi pembelajaran dan konsep diri terhadap hasil belajar kreatvitas gerak siswa kelas III SD. Penelitian mengunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain factorial 2 x 2. Teknik sampling acak sederhana dengan sample 32 siswa. Hasil penelitian (1) terdapat skor dari kreativitas gerak antara siswa yang mengikuti dengan strategi induktif dengan strategi deduktif, (2) siswa yang memiliki konsep diri tinggi menunjukan hasil belajar kreatifitas gerak lebih baik dari pada strategi pembelajaran induktif, (3) siswa yang memiliki konsep diri rendah memiliki skor lebih tinggi dengan strategi deduktif, (4) terdapat pengaruh interaksi antara strategi pembelajaran dan konsep diri terhadap hasil belajar kreativitas gerak siswa kelas III SD.Kata kunci : kreativitas gerak, strategi pembelajaran, konsep diri, SD.

Abstract

Abstract: The current study was intended to know the managerial competences in building the school climate and the satisfaction of the teachers in West Bandung Regency. The research method used was descriptive associative. The population of teachers and principals of public and private elementary schools in Bandung Regency was 751 people. The samples which were chosen through random sampling technique were 112 people. The results of the study suggested that managerial competences had 54.8% influence on the teachers’ job satisfaction; the school climate had 44.2% influence on the teachers’ job satisfaction; managerial competences and school climate had 65% influence on the teachers’ job satisfaction.Keywords: managerial competences, principals, school climate, teachers’ satisfaction, elementary schoolAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kompetensi manajerial kepala sekolah dalam membangun iklim sekolah dan kepuasan guru pada sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif- asosiatif. Populasi guru dan kepala sekolah SD Negeri dan Swasta di Kabupaten Bandung 751 orang. Sampel mengacu pada sampling random sebanyak 112 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi manajerial kepala sekolah terhadap kepuasan kerja guru sebesar 54,8%; pengaruh iklim sekolah terhadap kepuasan kerja guru sebesar 44,2%; pengaruh kompetensi manajerial kepala sekolah dan iklim sekolah terhadap kepuasan kerja guru sebesar 65%.Kata Kunci: kompetensi manajerial, kepala sekolah, iklim sekolah, kepuasan guru, SD.

Abstract

Abstract: Assessment is a process of giving score to the students’ ability according to certain criteria. 2013 Curriculum for elementary schools applied authentic assessment to assess the students’ readiness, the process, and the learning outcome as a whole. The aforementioned assessment type included performance assessment, essay test, portfolio assessment, project assessment, and self-evaluation. The Curriculum 2013 was implemented through integrated theme and its processes were carried out by using scientific approach. The theme based teaching and learning was started by deciding the theme which was then developed in such a way so the teaching and learning was reflected by the activities of observing, questioning, associating, experimenting, and communicating the results.Keywords: curriculum, theme-based, assessment, elementary schools.Abstrak: Penilaian merupakan proses pemberian nilai terhadap kemampuan siswa berdasarkan kriteria tertentu. Kurikulum 2013 Sekolah Dasar (K.13 SD) menerapkan penilaian autentik untuk menilai kesiapan siswa, proses, dan hasil belajar secara utuh. Jenis penilaian tersebut meliputi penilaian kinerja, tes esai, penilaian portofolio, penilaian proyek, dan evaluasi diri. Implementasi pembelajaran (K.13 SD bersifat tematik terpadu dan prosesnya menggunakan pendekatan saintifik. Pembelajaran tematik terpadu diawali dengan penentuan tema yang kemudian dikembangkan sehingga siswa dapat belajar secara mandiri, baik secara individu maupun kelompok. Pendekatan saintifik dalam pembelajaran dilakukan melalui kegiatan mengamati, menanya, menalar, mencoba, dan mengomunikasikan hasil. Kata Kunci: kurikulum, tematik, asesmen, sekolah dasar.

The data was collected by using observation, interview, document analysis, and test. The analysis technique of the interactive model and the product tryout were conducted by using experimental technique. The results of the study were (1) the early product development was prepared in such a way that the students would find the values by questioning and internalization processes through role playing, it would be meaningful if it was followed by making them habit in other relevant subjects, modeling, and giving examples; and (2) model could be used to effectively build the characters of the students in elementary schools.Keywords: characters, children story, ethic-spiritual values, elementary schoolsAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) menemukan model pendidikan budi pekerti untuk siswa SD, dan (2) menguji keefektifan model pendidikan budi pekerti untuk siswa SD. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif-kualitatif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan terknik observasi, wawancara, analisis dokumen, dan tes. Teknik analisis model interaktif dan pengujian produk dengan teknik eksperimen. Hasil penelitian, (1) pengembangan awal model dikemas sampai pada tahap siswa menemukan nilai melalui pertanyaan-pertanyaan dan proses internalisasi melalui bermain peran, hal itu bermakna bila ditindaklanjuti dengan pembiasaan pada mata pelajaran lain yang relevan, pemodelan, dan keteladan; dan (2) model dapat digunakan untuk pembangunan karakter siswa secara efektif di SD.Kata kunci: budi pekerti, cerita anak, nilai etis-spiritual, SD.

Abstract

Abstract: This qualitative research with multi-case research design was intended to describe the values of characters implemented at two religion based elementary schools. The data was collected by using in-depth interview, participant observation, and documentation. The data was analyzed through two steps which were individual case data analysis and cross case data analysis. The results of the study suggested that values of the character building were implemented in the school daily life and were integrated into the teaching and learning processes in the classrooms.Keywords: management, characters, education and religion, elementary schools.Abstrak: Penelitian kualitatif dengan rancangan multikasus ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai karakter yang diterapkan di dua SD berbasis relegi. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara mendalam, observasi peran serta, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan dua cara, yaitu analisis data kasus individu dan analisis data lintas kasus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penanaman nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari di sekolah dan diintegrasikan ke dalam proses pembelajaran di dalam kelas.Kata Kunci: : manajemen, karakter, pendidikan,dan keagamaan, SD.

Abstract

Abstract: the aim of this study was to obtain implementation model of gender based character building in Indonesian lesson in elementary schools. The current study utilized developmental and experimental research design. The data was collected by using questionnaire and in-depth interview by analyzing the qualitative and quantitative data. The results of the study were the gender based policies of the schools of character, the policies of implementing the gender based character building, the blueprint of gender based character building implementation in Indonesian, and the implementation of the gender based character building.Keywords: implementation model, character building, gender, elementary schoolsAbstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan model pengimplementasian pendidikan karakter berbasis gender dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia SD. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian pengembangan dan eksperimental. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan angket dan wawancara mendalam dengan analisis data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Abstract

Abstract: The current study was intended to obtain the description of the construct model of emotional intelligence of the elementary school students in Medan city. This study utilized two exogenous variables which were parenting and teachers’ competence and two endogenous variables as well which were the teaching and learning quality and emotional intelligence. There were 511 students and 68 teachers coming from 11 schools schools as the samples of the study. The results suggested that the students’ emotional intelligence was 82% affected by the parenting and 34% was influenced by the teaching and learning. The teachers’ competence gave 12% contribution to the teaching and learning which implied that the teaching and learning quality was dominantly affected by factors other than the 4 teachers’ competences.Keywords: construct model, emotional intelligent, elementary school studentsAbstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendapatkan gambaran model konstruk kecerdasan emosional siswa SD Kota Medan. Pada penelitian ini melibatkan dua ubahan eksogen, yaitu: pola asuh dan kompetensi guru, serta dua ubahan endogen, yaitu: kualitas pembelajaran dan kecerdasan emosional. Sampel 11 sekolah, dengan jumlah 511 siswa; dan 68 guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecerdasan emosional siswa SD 82% dipengaruhi oleh pola asuh orang tua; dan 34% oleh kualitas pembelajaran. Kompetensi yang dimiliki guru memberi sumbangan sebesar 12% terhadap kualitas pembelajaran, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kualitas pembelajaran dominan dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain di luar 4 kompetensi guru.Kata Kunci: Model Konstruk, Kecerdasan Emosional, Siswa SD.

Abstract

Abstract: Most people considered that proficient in a language meant fluent in speaking. The speaking skills were always related to the listening skills. Without having good listening skills, anybody’s speaking skills would not be perfect. Therefore, the listening skills were needed in order to achieve the perfection of other language proficiency. To achieve the listening skills, especially listening to the second or foreign language on basic or beginner level, there were several alternative teaching and learning model which could be implemented. The alternative models were classified into several points of view. Determining the proper teaching and learning needed skills in choosing by considering the purpose of the listening teaching and learning, the students’ scheme, the text’s conditions, and the development of the students’ cognitive.Keywords: teaching and learning model, listening, second/foreign languageAbstrak: Sebagian besar orang menganggap bahwa mahir berbahasa berarti mahir berbicara. Keterampilan berbicara selalu terkait dengan keterampilan menyimak.Tanpa berbekal keterampilan menyimak yang bagus, keterampilan berbicara seseorang tidak akan sempurna. Karena itu, keterampilan menyimak sangat diperlukan demi kesempurnaan keterampilan berbahasa yang lain. Untuk mencapai kompetensi menyimak, khususnya menyimak bahasa kedua/asing pada level dasar atau pemula, ada berbagai alternasi model pembelajaran yang dapat diterapkan. Alternasi model pembelajaran yang dimaksud terklasifikasi atas beberapa sudut pandang. Untuk menentukan model pembelajaran yang tepat, diperlukan kecakapan dalam memilihnya dengan mempertimbangkan tujuan pembelajaran menyimak, skema siswa, kondisi teks, dan perkembangan kognisi siswa. Abstract

Abstract: The current developmental study was intended to analyze the determinant factors which affected the quality of occupational stress which experienced by teachers who taught special education in inclusive schools in East Java as the basis to develop a module of managing stress due to working. The analysis results of the exploratory study suggested that most teachers (66.33%) of special education in inclusive schools experienced moderate occupational stress. The contributions of the internal and external variables to occupational stress experienced by teachers of special education included: gender (12.32%), age (4.16%), working status (5.34%), salary or income (3.57%), the suitability of the prajabatan background study (6.76%), the achievement motivation (22.75%), and the interest of position (12.25%).Keywords: occupational stress, internal factors, external factors.Abstrak: Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan menganalisis determinan faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap kualitas stress akibat kerja yang dialami oleh guru pendidikan khusus yang bekerja pada sekolah penyelenggara pendidikan inklusif di Jawa Timur sebagai dasar pengembangan modul pengendalian stress akibat kerja. Hasil analisis eksplorasi penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar (66,33%) guru pendidikan khusus (GPK) di sekolah inklusif mengalami stress akibat kerja dalam kategori sedang. Kontribusi variabel internal dan eksternal terhadap stress akibat kerja yang dialami guru pendidikan khusus (GPK) meliputi: jenis kelamin (12,32%), usia responden (4,16%), status kepegawaian (5,34%), pendapatan atau gaji (3,57%), kesesuaian latar belakang pendidikan prajabatan (6,76%), motivasi berprestasi (22,75%), dan minat jabatan (12,25%).Kata kunci: stress akibat kerja, faktor internal, faktor internal.

Abstract

Abstract: The study was aimed at describing (1) the process and the components of informal communication in improving the teachers’ professionalism, and (2) the informal communication model in improving the professionalism of elementary school teachers in Jember Regency. The research method used was qualitative with phenomenological approach which was multi-site study on three elementary schools. The data was collected by interviewing, observing, and documenting. The data analysis was carried out by using flow and constant comparative models. The results showed the improvement of the teachers’ professionalism through the process and the components of informal communication including cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. The informal communication model in improving the teachers’ professionalism on this case (1) was in the form of direct interactive model, (2) was in the form of indirect interactive model, and case (3) was in the form of direct and indirect interactive model.Keywords: improving professionalism, elementary school teachers, informal communication.Abstrak: Penelitian bertujuan mendeskripsikan (1) proses dan komponen komunikasi informal dalam meningkatkan profesional guru; dan (2) model komunikasi informal dalam meningkatkan profesional guru di SD Kabupaten Jember. Metode penelitian kualitatif, pendekatan fenomenologis, dengan rancangan studi multi kasus pada tiga Sekolah Dasar. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan model alir dan comparative constant. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan professional guru melalui proses dan komponen komunikasi informal meliputi aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotor. Model komunikasi informal dalam meningkatkan profesional guru pada kasus (1) adalah interaktif langsung, (2) dengan model interaktif tidak langsung, dan kasus (3) dengan model interaktif langsung dan tidak langsung.Kata Kunci : peningkatan profesional, guru SD, komunikasi informal.
