Abstract

There are several factors that cause learning physics student achievement scores are low, one of which was the lack of mathematical skills possessed by students. Physics as one of the fields of study abstract is more easily understood and solved the problem when used concepts shaped mathematical physics. In this case the math skills used in solving problems on kinematics material Vector Analysis. In other words, the relationship between mathematical ability and academic achievement of students in solving physics problems on kinematics material Vector Analysis. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between mathematical skills with student achievement in problem solving on kinematics material Vector Analysis in SMAN 4 Banda Aceh. The data collection is done by means of documentation and test physics problem. Data analysis using product moment correlation and t-test. The results of data analysis showed prices and t_hitungr_xy = 0.765 = 5.17. At the significant level α = 0.05 with degrees of freedom df = (N-2) = 29, then from the distribution list obtained t_tabel t = 2.09. Can be explained that Ho is rejected if t_hitungt_tabel (5.17 2.09) and Ha accepted. Thus, there is a significant positive relationship between mathematical ability and academic achievement of students in solving problems on kinematics material Vector Analysis in SMAN 4 Banda Aceh.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the difference in the refractive index of bulk cooking oil with Sunco branded bottled cooking oil. The data collection was done by measuring the refractive index of cooking oil using refraction method. Data analysis was performed by finding the average price index of refraction of each type of cooking oil. The results of the study explained that Sunco cooking oil refractive index greater than that of bulk cooking oil so it can be concluded that the branded cooking oil Sunco has the most excellent quality.

Abstract

Research on the Application of Media Virtual Laboratory Phet To Improve Learning Outcomes Physics At Students In SMA Negeri 5 Banda Aceh aims to determine: (1) the activities of teachers and students, (2) the skills of teachers in managing learning, (3) the results of student learning and (4) the students' responses to the use of Virtual Laboratory PhET media in the learning process. This type of research is the Classroom Action Research (PTK) and the approach used in this research is descriptive statistical approach where the data obtained are then processed using statistical methods and explain again using the word. The subjects were students of class X-IA5 SMAN 5 Banda Aceh the school year 2014/2015, amounting to 32 students. Data collection instruments used in research that observation sheets, tests and questionnaires were analyzed using analysis of all three percentages. The results showed (1) an increase in activity of teachers and students during the learning process, (2) an increase in teachers' skills in managing the learning of the category is becoming a very good (3) the percentage of completeness individual as a whole increased from cycle 1 to cycle 3 is 70% , 79% and 95%, and the percentage of the overall classical ketuntasanan also increased 65%, 80% and 91%. (4) The students' responses tend to be positive where 95% of students said he was happy to use this PhET Virtual Laboratory media in learning. From this research it can be concluded that the application of Virtual Laboratory PhET media can improve student learning outcomes on the subject of Ohm's law. It is recommended that research using Virtual Laboratory PhET media can proceed on other relavan material physics and not only at the high school level but also at the SMP so that the conclusions can apply more generative.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine: a) the activities of teachers and students; b) the ability of teachers to manage teaching and learning; c) the response of teachers and students to use KIT KBM physics and (d) an increase in student achievement by using KIT physics concept of direct current electrical circuit. The subjects in this reasearch is class XII-IA-1 SMA Negeri 4 Banda Aceh with the number of students 32 student. Data analysis using descriptive analysis is the percentage (%). Based on the results of data analysis can be concluded: (a) Activities of teachers is the most dominant discuss experimental results (15.55%), guiding students conduct experiments (15.18%), guiding students summed up the results of experiments (11.48%). While the most prominent activity is conducted experiments (25.40%), ask questions/express ideas (13.83%), and express opinions / ideas (13.66%). This is in accordance with the steps in the use of KIT physics; (b) The ability of teachers to manage learning using physics KIT categorized quite good; (c) The response of students to use the device and learning physics KIT is 89.6% of students interested in participating in further learning activities and (d) use the KIT physics learning can improve student achievement on the concept of direct current electrical circuit by 82%. This shows that in general the students have to know and understand the concept of direct current electrical circuits by using KIT teaching physics.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is (1) to determine the presence / absence of improving student learning outcomes by using quantum teaching the material straight motion with velocity and constant acceleration, (2) to describe the activities of teachers and students during learning using quantum teaching and (3) to know the students' response to learning using quantum teaching method. This study uses classroom action research (PTK). Subjects were students of X-Mia-4 SMAN 3 Banda Aceh totaling 32 people. Analysis of data using techniques percentage. Based on the results of data analysis can be summarized as follows: (a) an increase in student achievement in the learning process by using quantum teaching method. The use of quantum teaching method can improve learning outcomes in the form of scoring after the replay is held every cycle, both for individual students and the value of the average value of the class. The increase in the average value of such class of cycle 1: value - average student 3.0, and cycle to increase to 2: 3.69. So the average - average increase in value of class X-Mia-4 of the second cycle is of 69%; (B) Activities of teachers and students during the learning process has reflected the ongoing implementation of quantum teaching method in the material straight motion with constant velocity and acceleration. It can be seen from the increase in the activity of students in solving problems, work in teams, and ask questions / express ideas, and (c) The response of students is very positive which is characterized by increasing the percentage of students' response to the use of methods of quantum teaching, which can be seen students happy to study of quantum teaching method. Most students SMA Negeri 3 Banda Aceh said he was happy to learning using quantum methods of teaching the material straight motion with constant velocity and acceleration.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) to determine the activity of students in the implementation of the Science concept used an experimental method; (2) to determine the activity of teachers manage learning using the experimental method; and (3) to determine the presence / absence of increased student achievement using the experimental method. This type of research is classroom action research (PTK). Subjects in this study fourth grade students meunasah Tutong many as 30 people. Data analysis using descriptive statistics with a percentage formula. Based on the analysis of data obtained: (a) Activities of students in the following study used an experimental method in cycle 1 with an average score of 2.5 with less criteria, the second cycle an average score of 3.5 with sufficient criteria, and the third cycle an average score of 4.5 with good criteria; (B) Activities of teachers manage the learning using the experimental method in cycle 1 with an average score of 2.69 with less criteria, the second cycle an average score of 3.85 with both criteria, and the third cycle an average score of 4, 35 with good criteria; and (c) Student achievement in cycle 1 with an average value of 63, the second cycle with an average score of 71.33, and the third cycle with an average value of 80.33. Conclusion The experimental method could increase the activity of students during the learning progresses, the activity of teachers in managing learning, and students' science learning achievement.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to calculate (1) the value of coefficient of correlation between Leadership Lecturer of the ability practicum Physics, (2) the correlation coefficient between the Leadership Lecturer on Learning Achievement in Physics (3) the correlation coefficient between the ability practicum Physics of the Learning Achievement of Physics basis, and (4) the value of multiple correlation coefficient between the leadership and the ability practicum Lecturer basic Physics of the Physics Learning Achievement. The population in this study were all students IPA of the Department of Education  consists of 209 students. This study is a population study. To collect data on value leadership lecturer used Likert scale questionnaire listing, The collect data on the basic physics lab values and the value of basic physics is through a written test and skills. For the processing of the data used multiple correlation coefficient formula. Based on the results of processing and analysis of data obtained can be concluded that: There is influence between leadership and ability Lecturer Basic Physics Lab of learning achievement student force in 2006 in the course of Basic Physics.

Abstract

Seminar fisika lecture is a compulsory subject in education Prodi FKIP Unsyiah programmed in the VII Periodic half years. The fact graduat students often late to plane this, due to several constraints. The focus of discussion in this paper is to discuss whether the constraints and causes occurred the lecture program the students?.  Research conducted in the physical education study program, with the subject as much as 28 graduat student that have passed through the Periodic half years VIII, but has not been programmed lecture Physics Seminar. adopt this type of qualitative descriptive with a non-parametric statistical analysts, using percentages. Concluded, largely students suffered internal constraints, among others: phisiologis, psychological, determining research problems, and lack of confidence. These constraints caused randahnya analysis capabilities, sintesis and evaluation of the concept of student. Eksteren constraints experienced by students include: lack of available funds, differences of opinion with the faculty trustee, has not been able to meet the pre-requisites Lecture, lack of available reference and academic climate and society are less supportive. This relates to the lack of scientific knowledge of the students, rarely visited the library and the scientific culture has not been properly socialized in an academic environment and a place to stay.
