Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Inflation Rate, Exchange Rate and Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDP) on Foreign Direct Investment in Riau Province in 2000-2020. This study uses secondary data obtained from activity report data and published statistical data, namely the official website of the Central Statistics Agency, the Investment Activity Institute and the One Stop Integrated Investment and Investment Service (DPMPTSP). In this study using the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method multiple linear regression technique with eviews 10 program. The results show that the Exchange Rate has a positive and significant effect on Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) with a significant level of 5% obtained from the probability value of F Statistics < (0.05) which is 0.0024 < (0.05). Partially the level of inflation and GDP has a positive but not significant effect on foreign investment entering Riau Province. The ability of the three independent variables to explain the dependent variable with an adjusted Rsquare value of 0.684671. This means that the contribution of the influence of the two independent variables the dependent variable is 68.46% while the remaining 31.54% is influenced by other factors outside of this study such as the existence of government policy regulations in regulating the entry of investment into a country and region.Keywords : FDI, Inflation, Exchange Rate, and Gross Regional Domestic Product

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of academic procrastination, learning discipline and peer environment on student achievement in the 2017 Management Department, Faculty of Economics and Business Riau University. The population in this study included all students of the 2017 Management Department, Faculty of Economics and Business Riau University, totaling 242 people. The sampling technique that has been selected is the probability sampling method using sampling simple random sampling (151 students of the 2017 Class of Management Department, Faculty of Economics and Business Riau University). Primary data were collected using a questionnaire as an instrument to prove the results of the study. The results showed that: 1) there is significant influence between Academic Procrastination on Learning Achievement in Management Department Students Class of 2017 Faculty of Economics and Business Riau University, 2) there is significant influence between Learning Discipline on Learning Achievement in Management Department Students Class of 2017 Faculty of Economics and Business Riau University, 3 ) there is no significant effect between Peer Environment on Learning Achievement in Management Department Students Class of 2017 Faculty of Economics and Business Riau University, 4) there is significant influence between Academic Procrastination, Learning Discipline and Peer Environment on Learning Achievement of Management Department Students Class 2017 Faculty of Economics and Business Riau University.Keywords: Academic Procrastination, Learning Discipline, Peer Environment, and Learning Achievement

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the effect of price perceptions and promotions on buying interest and purchasing decisions for tea drinks in Pekanbaru. The population in this study was the entire Pekanbaru community who had drank an unknown amount of Teh Gelas beverage products. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling using the purposive sampling method, where the researcher determines the sampling by setting special characteristics that are in accordance with the research objectives so that it is expected to be able to answer research problems. The number of samples in this study were 117 respondents. The data analysis used is path analysis which is processed with the SPSS version 21 program. The results showed that 1) Price Perception had a positive and significant effect on Purchase Intention, 2) Promotion had a positive and significant effect on Purchase Intention, 3) Price Perception had a positive and significant effect on Purchase Decisions, 4) Promotion had a positive and significant effect on Purchase Decisions, 5) Buying Inte rest has a positive and significant effect on Purchase Decisions, 6) Price Perception has a positive and significant effect on Purchase Decisions through Buying Interest, 7) Promotion has a positive and significant effect on Purchase Decisions through Buying Interest.Keywords: Price Perception, Promotion, Purchase Intention, Purchase Decision

Abstract

This research aims to find out, (1) the effect of Brand Image on purchasing decisions, (2) the effect of price on purchasing decisions, (3) the influence of purchasing decisions on consumer satisfaction, (4) the influence of Brand Image on consumer satisfaction through purchasing decisions, (5) the influence of price on consumer satisfaction through purchasing decisions. The object of this research is Adidas sporth shoes consumers in Pekanbaru City. This research used Non probality sample and use accidental sample to chouse the sample. This research used SPSS as a data analysis method. Based on the results of testing, Brand Image has a positive and significant influence on purchasing decisions, Price has a positive and significant influence on purchasing decisions, Purchasing decisions have a positive and significant influence on consumer satisfaction, Brand Image has a positive and significant influence on consumer satisfaction through variable purchasing decisions, Price has a positive and significant influence on consumer satisfaction through variable purchasing decisions.Keyword: Brand Image, Price, Purchase Decision, Consumer Satisfaction

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the presentation of financial statements, internal control systems and accessibility of financial reports on the accountability of regional financial management. The population of this research is 23 opd in Pematangsiantar city government. The sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling. The data were processed using SPSS version 25 and analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The dependent variable in this study is the accountability of regional financial management. The independent variables used in this study are the presentation of financial statements, the internal control system and the accessibility of financial statements. The results of this study indicate that the presentation of financial statements affects the accountability of regional financial management at a significance level of 0.001 < 0.05, the internal control system affects the accountability of regional financial management at a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05, the accessibility of financial statements affects the accountability of regional financial management. at a significance level of 0.006 < 0.05.Keywords : the effect of financial statement presentation, internal control system, accessibility of financial reports and accountability of regional financial management.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of (1) layout and location on buying interest, (2) layout on buying interest, and (3) location on buying interest. The sample in this study was taken using probability sampling technique, namely sampling by providing equal opportunities for each element of the population to be selected as sample members. The questionnaire was addressed to consumers of the O'Chicken franchise in Pekanbaru. The number of sample population used is 75 respondents from O'chicken franchise consumers in Pekanbaru. The data obtained were analyzed using multiple linear regression to determine the effect of the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable through the IBM SPSS Statistic 25.0 software. The results showed that (1) layout and location simultaneously had a positive and significant effect on the consumer buying interest variable of 48.60%, (2) layout had no significant effect on consumer buying interest, and (3) location had a positive and significant effect on consumer buying interest.Keywords: Layout, Location, and Buying Interest

Abstract

The importance of customer satisfaction in order to create loyalty (loyalty) to a product or service, the restaurant must be able to increase customer satisfaction with various strategies. The purpose of this study was to explain how Restaurant Service Quality affects customer loyalty with customer satisfaction as an intervening variable. This research was conducted in the city of Pekanbaru, Dapur Dipo Restaurant as the object of research. This study uses a quantitative approach with a sample of 110 respondents who are customers of the Dapur Dipo Restaurant. Sampling using non-probability sampling with purposive sampling technique. The research model iused a questionnaire and analyzed using SEM and PLS. The result of this study indicate that Restaurant Service Quality mediated by cutomer satisfaction has an effect on customer loyalty.Keywords: Restaurant Service Quality, Customer Satisfaction, Customer Loyalty

Abstract

This study aims to find out about the effect of economic motivation, career motivation, taxation knowledge, and job market considerations on accounting students' interest in taxation career. In this study, data analysis is using descriptive statistics, while the population and sample were students majoring in accounting Class of 2017 at Universitas Riau, Universitas Andalas, Universitas Padjadjaran, and Universitas Gadjah Mada. Hypothesis testing in this study is using the T-test which aims to determine whether there is an influence between independent variable and dependent variable individually for each variable. The statistical test tools used are SPSS For Windows and Microsoft Excel 2019, while research data is obtained from questionnaires distributed to respondents using an online-based Google Form. The results of the study indicate that economic motivation, career motivation, and taxation knowledge affect the accounting students’ interest in taxation career, while job market considerations do not affect the interest of accounting students in a career in taxation.Keywords : Economic motivation, career motivation, taxation knowledge, job market considerations, accounting students’ interest in taxation career

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development strategy of three-star hotels in Pekanbaru City through the SWOT method. The method used in this study is descriptive and SWOT analysis in order to find out the obstacles faced by threestar hotels and provide the right alternative strategy to be applied to the threestar hotel industry in Pekanbaru City. The population in this study is the entire three-star hotel industry. in Pekanbaru City as many as 27 business units. The sampling technique used the census technique, so the sample in the study was 27 business units. The results showed that the analytical methods used were EFAS matrix, IFAS matrix, and IE matrix. Based on the analysis of the external and internal environment, the three-star hotel industry in Pekanbaru City is in a growth position where the concentration strategy is vertical. This means that this strategy is the main strategy for companies that have a strong competitive market in a highly attractive industry, in this case the company must minimize costs and inefficient operations so it is necessary to apply a WO strategy. In implementing the WO strategy, the three-star hotel industry in Pekanbaru City needs to prioritize the implementation of the strategy of creating price variants in order to have attractiveness and create jobs that can filter skilled and qualified workers. Increase promotional activities as well as expand markets and improve product quality in order to attract consumers from various sectors.Keywords: Three Star Hotel Industry, SWOT Analysis,IE Matrix
