Abstract

This study examines problems of seasonal harvesting rice women workers (Paddaros) in Pinrang and the solving strategies. The problems are the low survival rate with a relatively large number of families, the low health level, the low education level, the lack oflearning opportunities, the limitation of knowledge and skills and lags infarming, and the lack ofa positive attitude towards progress because of custom, religion, and living habits. The first strategy to overcome the problems is promoting gender equality in access to productive resources and sources of income. The second one is minimizing personal burden on the women’s domestic roles besides reproductive and social roles. The last one is providing gender-appropriate social protection in terms of public works and lab or programs. Keywords: Paddaros, Strengthening economyof women, gender inequality

Abstract

Image of muslim women activity in interpretation of sacredtexts-The Qur’an- has not been done well by some history books of Qur’anic interpretation in modern and contemporary times. Whereas in the modern and contemporary times, interpretation of women’s is increasing in quantity and quality to produce some good commentary that examines several aspects ofthe Qur’anor in whole Qur’an. A number of names such assayyidah Begum Nusrat Amin Amin Hajjah, Nazira Zein al-Din, Aishah bint Shati’, Riffat Hassan, Asma Barla sare some women whohave entered this region. Involvement of women from different backgrounds indicates no barriers to women’s participation in religious studies, especially in their struggle withbasic text–The Qur’an-includes critical of the established methods of interpretation througha new construction which they have introduced about women’s problems. Abstract

This study focused on three things: (1) What is the characteristics of the scope of contents of Syi’ir Muslimat?, (2) What is the socio-cultural conditions at the time the manuscript was written by the author?, (3) What are the moral education values for Muslim women in the content of Syi’ir Muslimat in the perspective of gender?. This research uses a philological approach with enhanced use of gender analysis. The result of this study are: Firstly, Syi’ir Muslimat is written by Nyai Wanifah, a woman who lived during the Dutch colonial era in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) tradition in Kudus, Central Java. Secondly, some of the moral education values in Syi’ir Muslimat among others: (1) The importance of moral education, (2) The danger of stupid women; (3) The importance of learning for women at early age, (4) Ethics decorated themselves; (5) The danger of materialism, (6) The ethics of relation the family; (7) From the house to reach heaven; (8) Beware the devil trickery; (9) Avoid adultery; (10) the important of closing aurot; (11) devoted to parents. Third, although there are some compounds that gender bias in Syi’ir Muslimat for example: (a) There is an explanation that shows that women lower than men in degree, (2) The claim that women are talkative than men, (3) Women only fit in the domestic sphere; however in general the advices in syi’ir is still very relafen in the present context, particularly to give alternative solution in responding the nation moral crisis especially in women young generation. Abstract

Pendidikan Islam pra lahir diterima anak melalui orang tuanya.Prosespendidikan Islam pra lahir sebenarnya telah dimulai sebelum anak diciptakan oleh Sang Pencipta dan berlanjut saat bayi berada dalam kandungan selama fase janin kehamilan. Pendidikan pralahir yang semestinya memberikan tanggung jawab yang adil dan setara bagi kedua orang tua, pada kenyataannya banyak menunjukkan wajah ketidakadilan gender sehingga perempuan menjalani peran berlipat, peran produktif, peran domestik, peran reproduktif dan peran sosialnya. Suami dengan demikian harus berbagi tangungjawab dengan istri dalam menjalani peran tersebut, dengan berbagi melakukan tugas rumah tangga disamping melakukan pendidikan pra lahir seperti membacakan al-Quran, membacakan cerita, memperdengarkan musik atau memberikan sentuhan pada janin. Abstract

Public policy is any selected by the government to do or to not do Unfortunately, many public policies are not good at this stage female friendly formulation, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. This study aims to determine the extent to which stakeholders the role of women in the fight for women’s interests in APBDesa Temulus Year 2011. The results of this study indicate that only some women stakeholders that play a role in championing women’s interests at the budget meeting, while some others have contributed to improving the quality of life for women. Some of the constraints faced by stakeholders when mapped into two:internal and external constraints. Internal constraints include a lac kof understanding of the needs of women of women stakeholders, and it faces conflicting roles. Abstract

Gender injustice or discrimination is still common in society. This is caused by misunderstanding of the distinction between the concept of nature or sex and gender. Forms of gender injustice are stereotyping, marginalization, subordination, violence, and the double burden. This article examines gender inequalities experienced by an American woman in the novel “Not Without My Daughter”. Keywords: gender discrimination, violence, double burden.

Abstract

Mendengar kata Gerwani, maka akan terbayang kebrutalan dan kekejaman kaum wanita, hal itu yang setidaknya penulis alami waktu masih remaja. Sebagaimana induk organisasinya PKI, Gerwani yang merupakan onderbrow PKI inipun mempunyai asosiasi yang sama. Pada masa Orde baru, PKI dan seluruh organisasi yang bernaung di dalamnya di tahbiskan sebagai organisasi yang biadab. Propaganda anti PKI ditanamkan dalam segala aspek, dan memiliki implikasi politis. Setiap orang yang memiliki garis keturunan PKI, maka akan dikucilkan dan mendapat stigma yang luar biasa buruk. Tidak hanya berhenti di situ, PKI kemudian dianggap sebagai organisasi yang terlarang di Indonesia. Salah satu propaganda yang cukup efektif adalah pemutaran film G30S/PKI yang diputar setiap malam tanggal 30 September. Dalam salah satu adegan tersebut, ditampakkan kebrutalan dan kekejaman yang di lakukan oleh PKI dengan menculik, menyiksa, membunuh dan mengubur hidup- hidup para jendral ABRI. Dan adegan itu dilengkapi dengan penyiksaan yang dilakukan oleh kaum wanita yang tergabung dalam Gerakan wanita Indonesia atau Gerwani.

Abstract

This research tried to develop educational module orientated in law recognition to avoid the practice of child marriage under age, especially in Madura Sub-Culture Community in Horseshoe Area. This development was done in steps of process, these are: (1) recognizing the condition and social profile of Madura sub-culture community in horseshoe area and their tendency in practical marriage of child under age as source of need analysis; (2) arranging prototype strategy and educational module orintated in law recognition to avoid child marriage under age in Madura sub-culture community in horseshoe area; (3) testing the effectiveness of educational module orientated in law recognition to avoid child marriage under age in Madura sub-culture community in horseshoe area. So the product resulted is tested both in validity and reliability. Key words: avoiding child marriage under age, Madura Sub-Culture Community, Horseshoe Area.

Abstract

Sosok perempuan dalam kepemimpinan acapkali dipinggirkan dalam kancah perpolitikan. Di tingkat lokal, perempuan sulit berposisi sebagai ketua organisasi yang di dalamnya ada laki-laki. Biasanya laki-lakilah yang dipilih menjadi pemimpin. Meskipun demikian, membaca dalam novel Ratu Kalinyamat karya Mudtadho Hadi ini menimbulkan kesan tentang kepemimpinan seorang perempuan pesisir yang tangguh, cerdas, dan laik diteladani. Ratu Kalinyamat (1549-1579 M) bernama asli Retna Kencana adalah putri Sultan Trenggono, Sultan Demak pada tahun 1521- 1546 M. Lahir sebagai putri membuatnya mengemban tugas pemerintahan di Kadipaten Jepara. Ia mempunyai kemampuan berlebih dalam memimpin. Para rampok yang dikisahkan dalam novel ini segan berulah di wilayah kekuasaan Ratu Kalinyamat. Sebab sikap Kalinyamat yang tegas memberlakukan hukuman terhadap perusuh. Dalam novel ini Ratu Kalinyamat diceritakan hidup di tengah kemelut konflik Kesultanan Demak. Ia menjadi korban dari perebutan kekuasaan di antara saudaranya sendiri. Suaminya Pangeran Hadhirin menjadi korban balas dendam Haryo Penangsang.

Abstract

Stories in the Qur‘an is not just a fairytale story for sheer, but it contains lessons, demands, instructions for humans.. The Qur‘an specifically discuss the types of women according to their deeds. The Qur’an refers to an ideal woman and a bad women, This research analyzed four women stories: Asiyah, Moses mother, the Queen Saba’ and Mrs Nuh dan Mrs Lut. Qur‘an confirms the view of women as a person who fully responsible for her choice, either commendable action or tyranny activity. Women are recognized as an independent person who does not rely on the male figure. A womangetting a reward for what she has does, good and bad.
