Jurnal Ilmiah Pendidikan Fisika Al-Biruni is a medium of communication used by researchers, lecturers, teachers, practitioners, and University student for submitting result of studies and prioritized result of research in the field of theoretical physics, applied physics, and physics learning include: development of instruments of evaluation physics, development of instructional media physics, the development of learning model of physics, and Quasi-Experiment. Jurnal Ilmiah Pendidikan Fisika Al-Biruni published comprehensive research articles and reviews by leading experts in the field. Selected articles, which has a high scientific achievement, provide important new knowledge, and high benefits to society of physics and physics education. The Journal was first published in 2012 and regularly published twice per year in April and October. Since 2014 this journal began in the online.

Abstract

Pembelajaran fisika yang terjadi di lapangan masih minim inovasi. Pembelajaran cenderung berpusat pada pendidik. Pendidik hanya mentransfer pengetahuannya saja tanpa memikirkan apakah peserta didik sudah memahami konsep yang disampaikan atau belum. Rata-rata capaian hasil pemahaman konsep Fisika masih rendah. Teknologi yang berkembang pesat saat ini masih jarang dimanfaatkan oleh para pendidik. Padahal ini bisa menjadi salah satu alternatif untuk membuat pembelajaran lebih menarik dan berkesan. Dengan mengaitkan kearifan lokal yang ada di daerah peserta didik, dapat membuat peserta didik lebih mengenal kekayaan alam di daerahnya dan dapat diperkenalkan baik skala nasional maupun intrnasional. Dengan adanya permasalahan-permasalahan tersebut, maka perlu adanya integrasi anatara model, evaluasi dan media pembelajaran STEM-A (Sciences, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Animation) berbasis kearifan lokal. Metode Penelitian yang dilakukan adalah Kuasi Eksperimen dengan desain penelitian one group pretest-posttest design. Hasil observasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman konsep mahasiswa setelah diterapkan pembelajaran STEM-A (Sciences, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Animation) berbasis kearifan lokal. Dengan kategori sedang pada gain dinormalisasinya. Dari pembelajaran ini mahasiswa menjadi mengetahui kearifan lokal batu kuwung dan cara memanfaatkannya. Hasil penelitian akan terus dikembangkan pada mata kuliah-mata kuliah lain di jurusan Pendidikan Fisika Universitas Sultan Ageng tirtayasa.Development of STEM-A (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Animation) Based on Local Values in Physics LearningLearning physics is still traditional in reality. It tends to be centered on Teachers. They only transfer knowledge without knowing the learners already understand the concept yet or not. The average achievement understanding of physics concept results is still low. Rapidly evolving technology is still rarely used by teachers. Though this could be one of the alternatives to make learning more interesting and memorable. Connecting the local knowledge in the area of learners can make students more familiar with the natural resources in the region and can be introduced to the outside world. Given these problems, the need for integration between models, evaluation and learning media STEM-A (Sciences, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Animation) based on local wisdom. The methods used were a Quasi-Experiment with the design of the study "One Group Pretest-Posttest Design." Observations indicate an increased understanding of the student concept after learning applied STEM-A (Sciences, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Animation) based on local wisdom with medium category in gain normalization. By learning this concept, students could be aware of local wisdom "Batu Kuwung" and understand how to get advantage from it. The results of the study will continue to be developed in the courses in the Department of Physical Education University of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan (pengetahuan dan keterampilan) inkuiri dan tanggapan mahasiswa Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar (PGSD) Universitas Lampung dalam perkuliahan Pendidikan Sains SD. Pelaksanaan penelitiannya dengan model belajar inkuiri secara pemodelan, dimana mahasiswa PGSD berperan sebagai pebelajar SD, dan peneliti sebagai model pengajar SD. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah Quota Sampling, yaitu pengambilan sampel secara acak sampai terpenuhi jumlah yang diinginkan. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 72 orang mahasiswa, dan dilaksanakan mulai Maret sampai Juni 2016.Variabel kemampuan inkuiri diperoleh melalui tes pilihan jamak, dan tanggapan mahasiswa diperoleh melalui angket, Data dianalisis dengan statistik berbantuan komputer. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: kemampuan inkuiri mahasiswa PGSD setelah mengikuti perkuliah Sains SD melalui model belajar inkuiri dengan pemodelan, secara signifikan lebih tinggi dibandingkan model belajar inkuiri dengan konvensional. Pada kelompok eksperimen tampak menunjukkan antusias, dan memberikan tanggapan positip, mahasiswa PGSD berharap mata kuliah yang berlabel SD dapat dilaksanakan dengan model belajar inkuiri dengan pemodelan.The Inquiry Abilities Comparison of The Students of Primary Teacher Training Program in Science LearningThis research aims to describe the inquiry ability (knowledge and skill) and the response from students of Elementary School Teachers Education (PGSD) Lampung University towards Elementary School (SD) Science Education Lecture. The research is done with modeling the inquiry learning model, where PGSD students play as SD learners and the researcher as SD teacher model. The sampling technique used is Quota Sampling, which means random sampling until fulfilled the number wanted. This research is done on 72 students and starts from March to June 2016. Inquiry ability of variable achieved from the multiple-choice test, and the student's response achieved through a questionnaire. The data analysis is using computerized statistics. The research results that the inquiry ability of PGSD students after following SD Science Lecture through modeling inquiry learning model, significantly higher than the conventional inquiry learning model.  On experimental group seems enthusiasm, and gives a positive response, PGSD students hope the SD labeling lectures can be done by modeling inquiry learning model

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berupa buku saku fisika dan mengetahui respon peserta didik terhadap kelayakan media pembelajaran berupa buku saku fisika SMPkelas VII pokok bahasan suhu dan kalor. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dari Brog & Gall. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VII SMP PURNAMA berjumlah 25 peserta didik dan instrument pengumpulan data berupa angket, diberikan kepada ahli materi, ahli media, dan guru IPA SMP untuk menguji kelayakan media pembelajaran berupa buku saku. Jenis data yang dihasilkan adalah data kualitatif dan kuantitatif yang dianalisis dengan pedoman kriteria kategori penilaian untuk menentukan kelayakan produk. Hasil penelitian yang dikembangkan adalah sangat layak dengan persentase 87% berdasarkan penilaian ahli materi tahap akhir setelah perbaikan, ahli media dengan persentase 89% dengan kriteria sangat tinggi, dengan persentase 76% penilaian guru dengan kriteria tinggi, hasil respon peserta didik dengan persentase 92% dan 83% dengan kelompok besar dan kelompok kecil.Development of Image Media in The Form of Physics Pocket Book on Temperature and Heat for Junior High SchoolThe research aims to develop learning media in the form of physical pocketbooks and to know the students' response towards the eligibility of learning media in the form of physics Junior High School (SMP) pocketbook class VII subject temperature and heat. This is the development research of Brog & Gall. The subject of this research is the students class VII SMP PURNAMA as many as 25 students, and the instrument of data collecting is a questionnaire, given to material experts, media experts, and SMP science teachers to test the eligibility of learning media in the form of a pocketbook. The resulted data types are qualitative and quantitative which analyzed with category scoring criteria to decide the eligibility of the product. The developing research result is very eligible with percentage 87% based on material expert final after revision, media expert with percentage scoring 89% with higher criteria, 76% percent of teachers scoring with higher criteria, the response result of the students is 92% and 83% percentage with a big and small group.

Abstract

Keterlibatan masyarakat dalam ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi yang berkembang dengan pesat, ternyata tidak diimbangi dengan kesadaran dalam beragama dan berbudaya. Metode pada kajian ini adalah kajian literatur yang membahas gagasan tentang Literasi Sains Berbasis Nilai Islam dan Budaya Indonesia (LSIB). Artikel ini mendiskusikan tentang (1) Bagaimana model literasi sains berbasis nilai-nilai Islam dan Budaya Indonesia? (2) Bagaimana Literasi Sains dapat berkontribusi terhadap kesadaran beragama (Islam) dan berbudaya Indonesia?; dan (3) Adakah isu terkait tentang literasi sains, Nilai-nilai Islam, dan Budaya Indonesia? Dari kajian yang telah dilakukan, model LSIB yang digagas menggunakan pendekatan integrasi interdisipliner dengan KNOW/BE/DO Bridge sebagai konsep penghubung antara literasi sains, nilai-nilai Islam, dan Nilai-nilai Budaya yang dalam praktiknya dapat ditransfer melalui pendidikan (pengalaman belajar) yang berorientasi pada nilai-nilai.Development of Physics Learning Devices Based on Critical Thinking Skills in Problem-Based LearningCommunity involvement in science and technology are rapidly developing was not matched by the religious and cultural awareness. The method in this study is a literature review that discusses the idea of Scientific Literacy based on Islamic and Indonesian Cultural values (SLIC). This article discusses (1) How to model scientific literacy based on Islamic values and culture Indonesia? (2) How can Science Literacy contribute to the awareness of religion (Islam) and Indonesian culture? (3) What is the related issue of scientific literacy, Islamic values, and Indonesian Cultural values? Of the studies that have done, the model LSIB initiated by using an integrated approach interdisciplinary with KNOW / BE / DO Bridge as the concept of a link between science literacy, Islamic values, and the values of culture which in practice can transfer through education (learning experience) that oriented values.
