Abstract

ABSTRACT  This study aimed to determine the effect of the dose of micronutrient zinc on two types of manure on the growth and production of green beans. The research was conducted at the Screenhouse and Laboratory of the Faculty of Animal and Agriculture Sciences, Diponegoro University, Semarang, Central Java, and the microelement analysis of zinc was carried out at the Salatiga Getas Research Institute, in February – April 2020. The study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) monofactor experiment. P0: NPK, P2: cow dung 3.86 t P/ha+Zn 5 kg/ha. P2: cow dung 3.86 t P/ha+Zn 10 kg/ha, P3: cow dung 3.86 t P/ha+Zn 15 kg/ha, P4: chicken manure 1.80 t P/ha+Zn 5 kg/ha, P5: chicken manure 1.80 t P/ha+10 kg/ha, P6: chicken manure 1.80 t P/ha+Zn 15 kg/ha. Parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, number of pods per plant, number of seeds per plant and seed weight per plant. The results showed that the effect of Zn micronutrient dose on manure was significant (P<0.05) on the number of leaves, number of seeds per plant and seed weight per plant. Treatment of cow manure and dose of micronutrient zinc 10 kg/ha was able to produce maximum growth and production of green beans. Keyword : Green beans, chicken manure, cow manure, zinc ABSTRAK  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dosis unsur hara mikrozinc pada dua jenis pupuk kandang terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi kacang hijau. Penelitian dilakukan di Screenhouse dan Laboratorium Fakultas Peternakan dan Pertanian Universitas Diponegoro, Semarang, Jawa Tengah, dan analisis unsur mikro zinc dilakukan di Balai Penelitian Getas Salatiga, pada bulan Februari – April 2020, menggunakan percobaan monofaktor Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). P0: NPK, P2: pupuk kandang sapi 3,86 t P/ha+Zn 5 kg/ha. P2: pupuk kandang sapi 3,86 t P/ha+Zn 10 kg/ha, P3: pupuk kandang sapi 3,86 t P/ha+Zn 15 kg/ha, P4: pupuk kandang ayam 1,80 t P/ha+Zn 5 kg/ha, P5: pupuk kandang ayam 1,80 t P/ha+10 kg/ha, P6: pupuk kandang ayam 1,80 t P/ha+Zn 15 kg/ha. Parameter yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah polong per tanaman, jumlah biji per tanaman dan bobot biji per tanaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh dosis hara mikro Zn pada pupuk kandang nyata (P<0,05) terhadap jumlah daun, jumlah biji per tanaman dan bobot biji per tanaman. Perlakuan pupuk kandang sapi dan dosis unsur hara mikrozinc 10 kg/ha mampu menghasilkan pertumbuhan dan produksi kacang hijau yang maksimal.Kata kunci : kacang hijau, pupuk kandang ayam, pupuk kandang sapi, zinc

Abstract

ABSTRACT  This research aimed to identify the effect of various types of organic fertilizer with the addition of rice local microorganism on growth and production of red spinach (Amaranthus tricolor). The research used factorials 3 x 4 experiment with Group Randomized Design (CRD) and 3 replications. The first treatment was various types of organic fertilizer such as P1: Cow Manure, P2: Chicken Manure, and P3: Goat Manure. The second treatment was addition of rice local microorganism with different fermentation time such as M0: 0 week, M1: 2 weeks, and M2: 4 weeks, and M3: 6 weeks. The observed parameters were plant height, number of leaves, plant wet weight, plant dry weight, nitrogen uptake and chlorophyll content of plant. The result showed that the treatment effect of various types of organic fertilizer had a significant (P<0,05) on plant height, number of leaves, plant wet weight, nitrogen uptake and chlorophyll content of plant.. Interaction effect between various types of organic fertilizer and addition of local microorganism had a significant (P<0,05) on plant height and chlorophyll content of plant. The highest response on plant height on the chicken manure with 2 weeks of fermentation. Keywords: organic fertilizer, local microorganism, rice, spinach. ABSTRAK  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh pemberian berbagai pupuk kandang terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi bayam merah (Amaranthus tricolor).Penelitian menggunakan percobaan faktorial 3 x 4 Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 3 ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah jenis pupuk kandang yaitu P1: Pupuk Kandang Sapi, P2: Pupuk Kandang Ayam, dan P3: Pupuk Kandang Kambing. Faktor kedua adalah waktu fermentasi MOL yaitu M0: 0 Minggu, M1: 2 Minggu, M2: 4 minggu dan M3 : 6 Minggu. Parameter yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, berat segar tanaman, berat kering tanaman, serapan nitrogen tanaman, dan kandungan klorofil tanaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh utama jenis pupuk kandang nyata (P<0,05) terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, berat basah tanaman, serapan nitrogen tanaman dan kandungan klorofil tanaman. Pengaruh interaksi antara perlakuan jenis pupuk kandang dan waktu fermentasi MOL nyata (P<0,05) terhadap tinggi tanaman dan kandungan klorofil tanaman. Penggunaan pupuk kandang ayam menghasilkan respon terbaik pada parameter tinggi tanaman. Perlakuan pupuk ayam dengan fermentasi 2 minggu menghasilkan respon terbaik pada perlakuan tinggi tanaman.Kata kunci : mikroorganisme lokal, nasi, pupuk kandang, bayam.

Abstract

ABSTRACT  The purpose of the research was to study the effect of various sprouts extracts and various types of manure on the composition of the growing media on the growth of Mulberry cuttings. The research was carried out at Screen House in Kalisidi Village, West Ungaran, Semarang Regency and Diponegoro University Physiology and Plant Breeding laboratory. The research design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) 5x3 factorial pattern and repeated 3 times. The first factor was soaking cuttings on sprout extract, without treatment (K0), giving synthetic growth regulator (K1), soaking soybean sprout extract (K2), soaking peanut sprout extract (K3), soaking mung bean sprout extract (K4). The second factor is the type of manure in the composition of the growing media with 3 types of fertilizers namely cow manure (P1), chicken manure (P2), goat manure (P3). The results showed that the treatment of soaking cuttings with sprout extract had a significant effect on the number of roots, and the treatment of manure types on the composition of the growing media had a significant effect on all parameters of observation.Keywords: sprouts extract, root number, planting media, Mulberry, cutting. ABSTRAK  Tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk mengkaji pengaruh pemberian berbagai ekstrak kecambah dan berbagai jenis pupuk kandang pada komposisi media tanam terhadap pertumbuhan vegetatif stek murbei. Penelitian ini di Rumah Kassa Desa Kalisidi Kecamatan Ungaran Barat Kabupaten Semarang dan Laboratorium Fisiologi dan Pemuliaan Tanaman, Fakultas Peternakan dan Pertanian, Universitas Diponegoro, Semarang. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) pola faktorial 5x3 dan diulang sebanyak 3 kali. Faktor pertama adalah perendaman bahan stek pada ekstrak kecambah yaitu tanpa perlakuan perendaman (K0), pemberian ZPT sintetis (K1), perendaman ekstrak kecambah kedelai (K2), perendaman ekstrak kecambah kacang tanah (K3), perendaman ekstrak kecambah kacang hijau (K4). Faktor kedua adalah jenis pupuk kandang pada komposisi media tanam dengan 3 jenis pupuk yaitu pupuk kandang sapi (P1), pupuk kandang ayam (P2), pupuk kandang kambing (P3). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada perlakuan perendaman stek dengan ekstrak kecambah berpengaruh nyata pada parameter jumlah akar, dan perlakuan jenis pupuk kandang pada komposisi media tanam memberikan pengaruh nyata pada semua parameter pengamatan. Abstract

ABSTRACT  Fertilizers and soil amendment were two of many factors affecting growth and yield of crops. This research aimed to select the best two organic tomato cultivation technological assemblies based on liquid organic fertilizers (LOF) and husk charcoal (HC). There were six treatments ie. A (20 t manure/ha + 1 t HC/ha + 3 L LOF/ha + 3 L leaf LOF/ha + 6% botanial pesticide + 6 % of secondary metabolite), B (20 t manure/ha + 1 t HC/ha + 3 L soil LOF/ha + 3 L leaf LOF/ha + 6 % of botanial pesticide + 6% of botanical phosphate), C (20 t manure/ha + 1 t HC/ha + 3 L soil LOF/ha + 3 L leaf LOF/ha + 6 % of botanial pesticide + 6% of secondary metabolite + 6% of botanical phosphate + 6% of Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria), D (20 t manure/ha + 1 t HC/ha + 3 L soil LOF/ha + 3 L leaf LOF/ha), E (20 t manure/ha + 1 t HC/ha + 3 L soil LOF/ha + 3 L leaf LOF/ha + 6% of secondary metabolite + 6 % of botanial pesticide + 0.04 g Mycorrhiza/plant, and F (20 t manure/ha + 100 kg Urea + 50 kg Phonska + pestisida synthetic). Each treatment was repeated 4 times. Experimental units were arranged as Randomized Complete block design. Result showed that the best two technology assemblies were C C (20 t manure/ha + 1 t HC/ha + 3 L soil LOF/ha + 3 L leaf LOF/ha + 6 % of botanial pesticide made from maja and gadung + 6% of secondary metabolite + 6% of botanical phosphate + 6% of Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria) and A (20 t manure/ha + 1 t HC/ha + 3 L LOF/ha + 3 L leaf LOF/ha + 6% botanial pesticide made from maja and gadung + 6 % of secondary metabolite). The yield of tomato grown under these two technology were 3,646 t/ha and 3,221 t/ha, respectively.Keywords: Tomato, organic, Liquid fertilizer, husk charcoal, secondary metabolite ABSTRAK  Pupuk dan pembenah tanah adalah dua dari banyak factor yang mempengaruhi pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan dua terbaik rakitan teknologi budidaya tomat organik berbasis pupuk organik cair (POC) dan arang sekam. Perlakuan terdiri atas: A (20t pupuk kandang/ha + 1t arang sekam/ha + 3L POC tanah/ha) + POC daun (3L POC daun/ha) + 6% metabolit sekunder + 6% pestisida nabati, B (20t pupuk kandang/ha + 1t arang sekam/ha+ 3L POC tanah/ha + 3L POC daun/ha + 6% pestisida nabati + 6% fosfat nabati); C (20t pupuk kandang/ha + (1t arang sekam/ha + 3L POC tanah/ha + 3L POC daun/ha + 6% pestisida nabati + 6% metabolit sekunder + 6% PGPR + 6% fosfat nabati); D (20t Pupuk kandang/ha + 1t arang sekam/ha + 3L POC tanah/ha + 3L POC daun/ha, E (20t Pupuk kandang/ha + 1t arang sekam/ha + pestisida nabati, maja gadung (6%)+0.04g Mikorhiza/tanaman, dan F (20t Pupuk kandang/ha + 100 kg urea/ha + 50kg Phonska/ha + Pestisida kimia sintetis. Setiap perlakuan diulang empat kali dan unit unit percobaan diatur sesuai dengan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa dua terbaik rakitan teknologi adalah: rakitan C (20t Pupuk kandang/ha + 1t arang sekam/ha + 3L POC tanah/ha + 3L POC daun/ha + 6% pestisida nabati + metabolit sekunder+ PGPR + fosfat nabati), dan rakitan A (20t Pupuk kandang/ha + 1t arang sekam/ha + 3L POC tanah/ha + 3L POC daun/ha + 6% metabolit sekunder+ 6% pestisida nabati). Hasil tomat yang diberi perlakuan C dan A berturut turut sebesar 3,646 t/ha dan 3,221 t/ha. Kata kunci: Tomat, organic, pupuk cair, arang sekam, metabolit sekunder

Abstract

ABSTRACT  This study aimed to examine the effect of LED Power and Plant Position on the Tower Hydroponic System on the growth and production of red lettuce (Lactuca sativa var. Crispa). Parameters observed were plant height, number and area of leaves, total fresh weight and consumption, and yield. Research data were analyzed by Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and continued with Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at a 5% confidence level. The results showed LED power and plant position had significant effects on the observed parameters. LED power of 15W with Lower and Upper Middle Positions of the Plants give the best results for the growth and production of red lettuce. Keywords: hydroponic tower, LED power, plant position, red lettuce ABSTRAK  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh Daya LED dan Posisi Tanaman pada Sistem Hidroponik Tower terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi selada merah (Lactuca sativa var. Crispa). Parameter yang diamati meliputi tinggi tanaman, jumlah dan luas daun, bobot segar total dan konsumsi, serta rendemen hasil. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) pada taraf kepercayaan 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perlakuan Daya LED dan Posisi Tanaman memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap parameter yang diamati. Daya LED 15W dengan Posisi Tanaman Tengah Bawah dan Tengah Atas memberikan hasil terbaik bagi pertumbuhan dan produksi selada merah. Abstract

ABSTRACT The goal of this research was to study the growth and production of upland rice responing to drought stress and silica fertilization. The research was conducted at greenhouse SPMA H Moenadi, Ungaran, Semarang Regency and Physiology and Plant Breeding laboratory, Diponegoro University, from February to June 2018. The research used factorial design based on completely randomized design. The first factor was silica fertilizers (Control, zeolite and husk ash) and the second factor was drought stress (watering interval 3, 6, 9 and 12 days). The result showed thar silica fertilizer treatment significantly affected the plant growth rate ages 14-30 days after planting, relative growth rate of plant ages 14-30 days after planting, plant height of the 8th week, leaf chlorophyll index of vegetative phase, number of seeds and seed weight, while at drought stress had significant effects on the plant growth rate ages 14-30 days after planting, relative growth rate of plant ages 14-30 days after planting, plant height of week 8 and 15, number of leaves 8 and 15 weeks, generative phase chlorophyll index, number oftillers and productive tillers, number of seeds and seed weight. There was an interaction between silica fertilization and drought stress on the plant growth rate ages 14-30 days after planting, relative growth rate of plant ages 14-30 days after planting and the number of seeds. Keyword : Drought stress, upland rice, silica fertilization ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh silika dan cekaman kekeringan terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi padi gogo. Penelitian dilaksanakan di greenhouse SPMA H. Moenadi, Ungaran, Kab. Semarang dan laboratorium Fisiologi dan Pemuliaan Tanaman, Fakultas Peternakan dan Pertanian, Universitas Diponegoro dari bulan Februari sampai Juni 2018. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan pupuk silika berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter laju pertumbuhan tanaman umur 14-30 HST, laju pertumbuhan relatif tanaman umur 14-30 HST, tinggi tanaman Minggu ke 8, indeks klorofil daun fase vegetatif, jumlah biji dan bobot biji, sedangkan pada parameter cekaman kekeringan memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap parameter laju pertumbuhan tanaman umur 14-30 HST, laju pertumbuhan relatif tanaman umur 14-30 HST, tinggi tanaman Minggu ke 8 dan 15, jumlah daun Minggu ke 8 dan 15, indeks klorofil daun fase generatif, jumlah anakan dan anakan produktif, jumlah biji dan bobot biji. terdapat interaksi antara pemupukan silika dan cekaman kekeringan terhadap parameter laju pertumbuhan tanaman umur 14-30 HST, laju pertumbuhan relatif tanaman umur 14-30 HST dan jumlah biji. Abstract

ABSTRACT  The purpose of this research was to to examine the interaction effect between the different concentration of onion extract and immersion time on growth responsesofIxora coccinea cutting. This research used a completely randomized factorial design. The first factor was the concentration of onion extract (K0 = 0%; K1 = 80%; K2 = 90%; and K3 = 100%). The second factor was the immersion time of onion extract (P1 = 3 hours; P2 = 4 hours; and P3 = 5 hours). The parameters were number of shoots, shoot length, shoot time appear, longest root length, primary roots, wet root weight, dry root weight, wet shoot weight, and dry shoot weight. The data were analyzed by variance analysis and continued by Duncan's Multiple Range Test. The results showed that the different concentration of onion extract increased number of shoots, shoot length, shoot time appear, longest root length, primary roots, wet root weight, dry root weight, fresh shoot weight, and dry shoot weight. Submersion period take effect to number of shoots, longest root length, primary roots, wet root weight, adn dry root weight, but there was no effect to shoot time appear, fresh shoot weight, dry shoot weight, and shoot length. Key Words: Cutting, Growth Response, Onion Extract, Ixora coccinea ABSTRAK  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh interaksi antara perbedaan dosis ekstrak bawang merah dan lama perendaman terhadap respon pertumbuhan stek tanaman Soka Mini. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) pola faktorial. Faktor pertama adalah konsentrasi ekstrak bawang merah (K0 = 0% K1 = 80% K2 = 90% dan K3 = 100%). Faktor kedua adalah lama perendaman masing-masing bahan (P1 = 3 jam P2 = 4 jam dan P3 = 5 jam). Variabel yang diamati meliputi jumlah tunas, panjang tunas, waktu muncul tunas, panjang akar terpanjang, banyak akar primer, berat basah akar, berat kering akar, berat basah tunas, dan berat kering tunas. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan anova dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian konsentrasi yang berbeda dapat meningkatkan jumlah tunas, panjang tunas, waktu muncul tunas, panjang akar terpanjang, banyak akar primer, berat basah akar, berat kering akar, berat basah tunas, dan berat kering tunas. Lama perendaman berpengaruh terhadap jumlah tunas, panjang akar terpanjang, banyak akar primer, berat basah akar, dan berat kering akar, namun tidak berpengaruh pada waktu muncul tunas, berat basah tunas, berat kering tunas, dan panjang tunas. Abstract

ABSTRACT  This research aimed to identify the effect of cow urine concentration on the growth and yield of red betel simplicia (Piper crocatum) on different composition of planting media. The research used 3 x 5 factorials experiment with Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 3 replications. The main factor is composition of planting media (soil:husk charcoal) based on volume (M) which consists of 3 levels treatment namely M1= 1:3, M2 = 1:1, M3 = 3:1. The second factor is the concentration of cow urine consist of 5 levels treatment namely K0 = 0%, K1 = 7,5%, K2 = 15%, K3 = 22,5% dan K4 = 30%. The observed parameters were shoot length, number of leave, the wet weight shoot, the dry weight shoot, and number of roots. The result showed that there was an interaction between the treatment of composition of the planting media and concentration of cow urine had a significant effect (P<0,05) on the shoot length, number of leaves, the wet weight shoot, and number of roots. Treatment of cow urine concentration of 22,5% gave the best result on shoot length, number of leaves, the wet weight shoot, the dry weight shoot and number of roots. Treatment composition of soil:husk charcoal (1:1) and 22,5% cow urine concentration gave the best results onshoot length, number of leaves, and wet weight shoot. Keywords: cow urine, planting media, red betel, simplicia ABSTRAK  Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji pengaruh konsentrasi urin sapi terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi simplisia sirih merah (Piper crocatum) pada komposisi media tanam yang berbeda.Penelitian ini menggunakan percobaan faktorial 3 x 5 dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) terdiri dari 3 ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah komposisi media tanam (tanah:arang sekam) berdasarkan volume (M) terdiri dari 3 taraf perlakuan yaitu M1= 1:3, M2 = 1:1, M3 = 3:1. Faktor kedua adalah konsentrasi urin sapi terdiri dari 5 taraf perlakuan yaitu K0 = 0%, K1 = 7,5%, K2 = 15%, K3 = 22,5% dan K4 = 30%. Parameter yang diamati adalah panjang tunas, jumlah daun, berat basah tunas, berat kering tunas, dan jumlah akar.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi interaksi antara perlakuan komposisi media tanam dan konsentrasi urin sapi nyata (P<0,05) terhadap panjang tunas, jumlah daun, berat basah tunas dan jumlah akar. Perlakuan konsentrasi urin sapi 22,5% memberikan hasil terbaik terhadap panjang tunas, jumlah daun, berat basah tunas, berat kering tunas dan jumlah akar. Perlakuan komposisi tanah:arang sekam 1:1 dan konsentrasi urin sapi 22,5% memberikan hasil terbaik pada panjang tunas, jumlah daun, dan berat basah tunas.
